I honestly agree in some way. I have a Rolex dayejust which I really love but honestly I wear my g shock more than any other watch it’s just perfect so comfy on the wrist and great for travelling
A must have for any waych enthusiasts... Or anyone who need a defendable watch. recommend 5600 tough solar models. Only bad thing about G shock 5600 is you need to buy a new one before 2100(because of perfetual calendar)
I have a gshock watch and i had from my childhood it still works... Just needs a new battery and a strap.... Well these are just reliable products... It doesnt even need these testing
Lol...they used glass to show that actual force was applied. This watch survived being run on multiple times by the world's heaviest vehicle and has a Guinness World Record for it. Also, it was hit by an ice hockey stick, which applied more force on the watch than the hammer...still survived. There are also several videos of it on UA-cam where they make the watch go through hell, guess what...still survived. Thus, when you hit it with just a hammer, it says "I can do this all day". So, a piece of advice, don't question this watch's durability in front of a true watch guy...you won't like to be toast. Peace

It lets the energy of the impact escape. A solid wall won't, and the watch would have to withstand all the force. Same thing happens tonthe hice hockey you mention : it's not hit against a solid wall, it's kicked and left free of movement. Lastly, ever wondered how a 70 tons tank doesn't just get stuck on the ground? A heavy vehicle will spread out it's weight on its large tracks or tire. It is extremely effective, to a point that a heavy vehicle can apply the same pressure by cm² as a small vehicle. It's spread out. Thus, the Casio is not " surviving " an X amount of tons, when its getting drove on. Great watch but let's not switch off criticism and laws of physics here. This is still a marketing video meant to sell a product.
Guys late to the convo but our wrists will be the first to go if these ridiculous tests were to be conducted while wearing. So it's safe to say it's super durable because none of us will subject our wrists to that much damage.

So if I have a violent seizure, get t-boned to be be thrown through the glass window of my vehicle, slam into a concrete pier, then limply sink to the bottom of the ocean, my G-Shock will still survive?! AWESOME!!!
We may owned a few of 5 figure priced watches, but end of the day, we all love this living legend.
