Cody lives in the boonies, but it made the tour that much better. Being in the middle of nowhere and freezing actually made this tour a lot of fun! I'm so thankful that Cody was willing to invite me out and give us a tour of his box. DO NOT get the GearWrench “knock off” tools. This is one place where if you can’t afford Knipex you wait till you can. Period.
Woot! often has Knipex gift sets and Cobra sets on their website (but they sell out quickly). I got 12 different Knipex pliers for $350, or about $29 apiece.
I don't have one Knipex plier...... 🤷

I highly recommend the Knipex 9K-00-80-117-US 3 Piece 10" Pliers Set. You get the great cobras for gripping onto anything, the pliers wrench for quickly tightening or loosening bolts without having to guess the wrench size or deal with rounded corners, and the great side cutters that will bite through really thick material and even some metal.

Always look forward for your videos. Have you ever thought of doing a shop/garage tour? Some of the people you interview work at home it what look to be unique shops. I understand some of the business won’t agree to this but just a suggestion.

I had the exact same issue with sticky drawer slides on my matco 4s, noticed the grease on the slides was tacky and soaked them with spray lube.. feels like a different toolbox i couldnt believe i didnt try it before!

I like how he kept calling some tools "just cheap" meanwhile the tool trucks rebrand some of those same tools, sell them for double, and make you think they're "double the quality".
They are trying to renege on their warranty they try to make you seem like a thief. I went to three different stores and got the exact same act out of the employees from each store. They are trained to lie to you and make you feel like a thief and try to get you to walk out of the store Three different stores use the same terminology we are cracking down on the #Warranty. I said you are cracking down on your own #Warranty lol. Three different stores told me the same line of crap and the same day. I was trying to #Warranty two ratchets that were broken they tried to say I probably bought them at a flea market and I’m bringing them there to get exchanged. I said no you can look that up but if I had your #Warranty clearly states I can bring in my grandfather‘s tools or my buddies tools, and exchange them, I didn’t write your warranty I don’t even need a receipt according to your own #Warranty terminology. They try to irritate you enough to get you to leave well that’s simple to solve irritate them more and just keep standing there staring at them and don’t leave make them uncomfortable and they will give you a replacement this bitch posing as a manager who was just another cashier says I’ll do it this time I said no you’ll do it anytime I come in with a broken tool or someone else will I promise you that. I’ll tell you what next time just gonna walk in I’m gonna get the replacements I’m going to go to the customer service desk throw my broken ones down on the counter and walking out they treat you like a thief as they are stealing from you you fellas bought the #Warranty with the tool why else would you buy a tool from there? So you would not have to buy that tool again, correct that’s what they promised you make them keep to that promise or the days of #Warranty tools will be over very soon.

Don't waste your time with those 'Spot Weld Drills' they're a WOFTAM! Yes, they're double ended but, you won't be able to afford/keep stock of replacement cutters! Just use an 8mm or 5/16(thereabouts) Drill Bit!

I would love to see a summary video with highlights of favorite tools from the past previous months. Would also like to see videos of maybe an aircraft mechanic, perhaps a visit to a manufacturing shop and interview a bunch of guys. Would also be cool to see a visit to a Lexus dealership to see what their techs are up too. Keep up the good work, I was looking to this video this weekend. Those Mac Cobra knock-offs actually cost more than the real Knipex cobras..
The Mac cobras are just real cobras with the mac name on them, Matco sells doyle branded knock offs though which is a harbor freight brand
Gearwrench warranty can be done online. Similar process to Tekton. Not required to go through a dealer. Just fill out a form, snap a pic, amd theyll mail out a replacement.

It sounds like gearwrench is making some nice tools. I really like when these guys give honest opinions of tools.
They have had some pretty good well rounded tools but the problem is a lot of people who are very found of one type of tool/company tend to look down on gear wrench because of where it’s usually made
I’m just saying. But people do get hung up where something is made and because of that talk down on it. To me if it works repeatedly then it’s good enough for me
