A lot of people have said the slide not locking back happens frequently and the reason for that is the Magazines. The retention cuts on the magazine are way too big and sloppy. I didn't put the pinky extension on and my pinky curls under the magazine and pushes it up into the pistol and presto! Last round hold open becomes reliable. I never wanted the 12 round magazine anyway for a concealment pistol so I bought a pair of 10 round magazines for $42 to go with the one that came with the pistol. The floor plates are wiggly but they have stayed on mine. The magazine release on mine was rough as a cob until I had a few thousand presses on it with loaded magazines to put pressure on the magazine release. I like mine as is for what it is. My body chemistry is highly acid and I haven't rusted the slide yet.
Look forward to your CZ review just pulled the trigger on mine $603 with shipping what a steal with the optic I was waiting for them just to release the optic but they haven’t done that yet so I couldn’t pass up the deal just to add another p10 for the price I know they’re releasing a new generation sometime this year almost hard to believe they can improve on the first generation
Couldnt resist $255 for regular Max with Stainless slide. Replacing my LCP Custom. Pocket Carry perfection when the time calls for it. Vedder pocket locker.
I just got the Galloway Precision turnkey kit and OH BOY it makes me enjoy this gun a lot more. There's a few springs to swap, a new trigger, and some nice rubber grips for about $100. Only 100 rounds through it since I did all the upgrades last weekend, but i'm happy with it. I was shooting terribly low with this gun even after practicing quite a bit but that helped with the accuracy too.
Great video. It's amazing how the 75th anniversary edition is like a top secret pistol. Not many videos on it, also it's not listed on many websites. Thank you for your efforts. I had to search to find my 75th anniversary edition, and like you said, the price is right! I put the Armalaser TR39G green laser on mine. Not much information or videos on that either. Note: this may help others. If you purchase a 2 pack, the Magazines are a better buy. I picked up a two pack 12r for $49.99 at the Magshack. They also have the 10r two packs. Thanks again.
Thanks for the review brother-man. I just ordered the 75th Anniversary Lcp Max.. paid about $300 out the door. I have an LCP 2 that I've pocket carried with the Ruger supplied holster for nearly 4 years. I checked a few minutes ago.. and even though the holster is somewhat more flexible than when it was new.. I couldn't get the trigger pulled back far enough to fire.. no matter how hard I tried. I do have a DeSantis holster for another pistol. Anyway.. I'm looking forward to getting the new max.. and hope I don't have any magazine issues.
I have issues on both of my (wife & I) 75th Anniversary Editions LCPs with reliability when I load a full magazine with one in the chamber. I have several magazines (10 & 12 rounds) and some are more reliable than the others but not even close to 100%. Love my DeSantis Gunhide 03 pocket holster. Wive uses a Gazelle holster no longer available. Great review! Thank you.
What's the issue exactly on yours. I got the 75th aswell shot 50 rounds and around 20 loose self defense ammo, ran flawless. I would like to know you're issue as a heads up
@@ghosthunter7775 thank you for your reply. On both guns if I load a full magazine (except for 1 ten round magazine out of 5 10/12 round magazines) with one in the chamber the gun will shoot BUT the slide won’t cycle correctly as to eject the empty case and load a new round. This magazine will function correctly 8 out ten times will the others will work 3-4 times out of 10 times. Again this only happens when I load the plus (extra) round with a full magazine.
Good review… thank you! I’m not sure that I would recommend it for folks that are recoil sensitive, but it definitely has significantly less recoil than the LCP II, which is painful to shoot. Galco has a good rawhide holster on Amazon, but I recently moved to a trigger cover that I would have to remove first. I feel better that it won’t come off inadvertently, but will be slower to ready my firearm. Blessings!
I just picked up a new LCP Max - Not the 75th Anniversary Edition, just the basic black slide (and I over-paid $50 by buying at Cabela's, but my local gun shop didn't have it and I didn't feel like waiting to order it fro them). Like I say, I paid $480, but if I'd ordered it from my gun shop, it would have been only $426. It feels good in the hand, with the 10 rd mag or the 12 rd. I'm curious to see how it shoots, or how I shoot IT. I just really wanted a pocket pistol that wasn't a .32 ACP.
Right mine was a good $150 cheaper but I had to buy a $50 mag because it only came with one. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Nice review. You ran through alot of the questions would be buyers would have and showed the technical stuff like trigger break and reset, stippling on the grips and etc. The magazine issues are a question though I guess. I will say that having a perfect trigger doesnt matter on this class of pistol. It has a solid one from what you showed though. It seems that the lcp max is a solid purchase regardless of the nuances. Peace brother
I don’t regret buying it. The mags are pretty bad and you feel like you are going to break the follower but so far they’ve worked. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Me too! I've never had problems with the mags even in the plus 1 configuration. In my opinion its one of the best 380's on the market and still smaller then the new S&W Bodyguard 2.0 380 which I shot today for the first time. In IMO they both shoot equally well, but the LCP Max is still a little bit smaller but that little difference in size makes a big difference to me in the pocket. Another thing I like about the LCP Max is the trigger guard is bigger and it makes it easier for when wearing gloves. After being out for awhile when the price drops on the new M&P bodyguard 2.0 380 I will purchase one to have as another placement gun and pocket gun choice in 380. Thanks for sharing.
I wished I liked S&W more I do. With them being an American company and all. They just aren’t my favorite but ima try one of the new bodyguards as well. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Does yours have a foot of drop at 50ft? Never in my life have I seen such a drop at such a short distance. Sold the pos after trying to figure it out and seeing many reports of this. Defective. Switched back to the normal lcp and had zero issues again, and only an inch or two of drop, mainly due to me yanking the trigger.
Is the reason why some people put their hand on their chest is because if they are being shot at and they get hit in the chest your hand is supposed to slow the bullet down a little ? That’s what I assume
That is correct sir and it also help you be more balanced and stable or it does me anyway. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I don't have a 12 round but I did buy the 2 pack of 10 rounds and they were $43 and seem to be better than the Ruger mags. I have heard that Ruger subbed out the manufacture to Mecar Italy. I'd have never bought the LCP Max 75th if I hadn't seen it for $259 new. I found the Ruger LC9 EC was $259 also and a spare 10rd mac for the 9EC was $28. I actually think the Keltec P3AT was better than first gen Rugers. I do like the LCP Max, but if I only had one pistol, it wouldn't be it.
@@GSquaredTactical The LCP Max while not inaccurate, shoots way low. The factory Ruger magazine will not activate the last round hold open, while the two pack magazines (Ruger branded) did. I shoot target with the same ammo I carry which is the Sinter Fire NXG 70gr lead free flat point ball ammunition which performs pretty well in gel or against car bodies and does what it does practically every time with mild recoil. If I could only have one pistol, to do absolutely everything with it would probably be a 1911 or Glock in 10mm and it would go in the gym bag rather than gym shorts.

Get a Mcarbo trigger. Makes a huge difference
Send me a link please
@@GSquaredTactical the mcarbo trigger is metal and adjustable. Its sits a little father back in the trigger guard and has a crisper break. If you change the springs it will get rid of the "ping" sound and lighten up the trigger pull. I love it.
@bbazzracing yeah that ting sound is crazy lol.
@@GSquaredTactical goto MCarbo's site and look for LCP Max trigger and spring kit
The trigger on mine seems to irritate my finger. Have you had any issues like that ?
