I love your videos, the amount of detail you include in your explanations is really great! I have been learning to play violin for three years now as an adult learner. As a part of learning to play I have also challenged myself to learn as much as I can about the making, maintenance, and function of every part of a violin. Seeing how much skill, attention to detail, and love goes into making a violin has greatly benefited the appreciation I have for my violin. Every note I play is not just an expression of my love for playing but the manifestation of the makers passion as well. It is interesting to think about that, every time a violin is played the it is both the violinist and makers passion being brought to life.
Thank you so much for this thoughtful comment! I couldn’t agree more, every violin carries both the maker’s and the musician’s spirit. It’s wonderful to hear how your journey as a violinist has deepened your appreciation for the craft and every little detail that goes into it. There’s a real magic in knowing that each note reflects years of skill and passion from both sides. Keep enjoying your journey with the violin, and thank you for letting me be a small part of it through these videos! 🎻
I just want to know more about what was going on in the head of the lady that was very focused on her work in the background. Would love to see the folks in your shop working and hearing from them.
Very interesting! Edgar, do you put the glue on and then clamp or clamp first and then applied glue to where the pieces come together, or both? Greetings from Singapore. I love watching your videos!!
Hi Sanjay! Feel free to write to me directly at edgar@eruss.it and let me know what you’re looking for-I’ll personally guide you through the process of purchasing a violin from abroad. Looking forward to helping you!🎻
