I Just Bought a 1968 Mustang and I'm Building My Dream Car

- I bought a new project car! It's a 1968 Ford Mustang and I can't WAIT to start building this thing. It's a barebones 6-cylinder and running on maybe half of them. Brakes are almost non existent, suspension is shot, interior and exterior is in rough shape, leaks oil and smokes like crazy. But other than that, it's AWESOME! I'm planning on building it into my ultimate dream Mustang, and don't worry, it's NOT an Eleanor Shelby GT500. First thing's first, I gotta get this thing running right.

It's very high on my list! It's originally a Wimbledon White car but I think I like the later model first gens in darker colors... especially fastbacks.

Disk brakes and a hydro boost might be over kill but wow it feels soo good to take your brakes from 1968 to 2023
I'm all about modern brake feel, I'll have to look into the hydro boost and I'm for sure getting discs

Don't you dare convert it to a FB if you are Mustang Fan .It will always be a coupe wait till prices come down on the real FB.Bullit was only a 2 min race scene it was neer the plat of the movie.
To be honest, for the age it's not that bad. I've seen alot worse over 50 years old. Looking forward to this build!
Thanks! Took me quite a while to find something that didn’t have rust problems. The engine and transmission have me a little worried but nothing a little engine swap can’t fix! Haha.
