I'm Russian. I know English at the level of recognition of certain words, and to write this comment, I use a translator. I want to say that the song is really good. It creates a strange impression of some kind of "American History" in my head. There have been and are many bad things in the history of our states, it must be remembered, but there are also many good things - these are songs. It is a song that binds hearts, and a good one tells its own story, even if a person does not understand it because of the language barrier. I thank you for your work, even though I found out about you just yesterday. I'm waiting for more Russian songs performed by you, and, of course, American ones, such as this one. Greetings to all from Western Russia!
@@Bluesonofman It'll be his turn soon. Don't pray for victory for that is long past. Pray he won't have his brains splattered or guts exposed and goes home safe.
"I have memories of the final days before the collapse, hazy due to how young I was, but I have them. Though it was an uncertain time for the nation that stretched from coast to coast it was a land of advanced technology, a land of opportunity. But there was also those trying to get rid of that opportunity from what I heard from the elders. However, my dream is that by fighting in the Northern Union State Cavalry I can help restore that great Republic." "You think that's the Lord Protector's End Goal?" "I know it is." - One Cavalryman to another.
Спасибо, thank you for posting this song. I was a pilot in two cavalry regiments and cavalry troopers still honor the traditions of the old horse cavalry. Every cavalry trooper knows the poem, Fiddeler's Green. The last stanza reads, And so when man and horse go down Beneath a saber keen, Or in a roaring charge of fierce melee You stop a bullet clean, And the hostiles come to get your scalp, Just empty your canteen, And put your pistol to your head And go to Fiddlers’ Green. Second Squadron, First United States Cavalry Regiment (Blackhawk) and Air Cav Troop, 11the Armored Cavalry Regiment (Blackhorse), though I never really wanted to be in the cavalry, my mount was an OH-6 and it was a hoot to fly (except for the getting shot at part). Allons.
I don't really understand why this song hits me in the heart as hard as it does being a civilian and never seen war I don't really understand why it brings me to tears but I love this song you have done amazing
"With morale in doubt and our pride run out no honor did I see. All I seen were a thousand dreams piled dead in front of me." That line gives me the chills
I love songs that tell you a story, this is the story of a young man who joined the military looking for the promise of adventure But when he enters combat he realizes, all he wants is to go home now

@@Bluesonofman The best way the Russians can achieve victory is through Putin's defeat.
If you go to Ukraine don't forget to bring sunflower seeds.
Great to get an extended version! By the way, on my YT Music annual recap, your Hey You Falcons was my most listened to calm song.
I too love the Polish songs, I think a translated bij bolszewika would be up Alderon's alley.
@@progrocker2112 ooh, nice idea. But would it be "songs from around the world", or "second civil war?"
Thanks for doing both versions in this video I love it alot

I'm guessing the increase in beat is a reference to the tactic of cavalry steadily picking up speed prior to the charge
Your music never ceases to amaze me mate
Better then the original and any other cover!
I would love to have this on spotify!
Great cover.
You did both versions! Top job mate!

This is by far my favourite version of this song! Good job

Just found your channel. Very impressed and I'm here to stay
Same here.

I’d like to hear your version of the reprise “I wanna be in the cavalry” but you don’t exactly have to, it’d be nice though.
Have a good one
That would be the second half of the song
@@alderontyran oh you did? I hadn’t listened to it all when I typed it, thanks man
Wow this is great
And the seamless transition between both songs was amazing
I love this song 100/100
Yo this be awesome, how have I never heard this?
Dang that is a really good song!!!
Very nice friend
This was amazing.
I like the part where he mispoke. Ibpersonally like it (not sarcastic)
It gives off the vibe that the singer is a scared and disturbed solider singing it to himself for comfort
@@icomment9898 yes thank you, you put my mind to wordss.
Yeah and be nice 🙄
where exactly was that?
@@Rack47 4:40 where he says "When the typhoid hit with it- with it's fevered fits"
nice version, I also recommend both of Corb Lund's versions of this
is this a confederate or union song?
Confederate cavalry
@@Artemis_huntress_Goddess original is union. reprise is confederate imo
In other words, yes.
Great success !
I'd say it's a song about the cavalry during the Napoleonic wars
Great video
Very good !
I love this song
Could you share tabs with us?
And A+
Hello, can you do guitar chord for the reprise version?
I've wanted to be a tanker since I was young it never happened
