Sorry all for the delays, this was supposed to be last month's song, but between burnout and getting sick, I missed my intended release date. This song was chosen by the Patreons for last month's song and the Patreons will be choosing *next* month's song as well! This song has been a lot of fun to record and make (delay's asides), and is the first song posted with a new guitar (that I finally got) Hopefully the guitar sounds a bit better than in earlier songs. For those of you who've been considering Patreon, or are otherwise interested, This song released just over a month ago as an early audio release for Patreons only. There will be another early Patreon release for this month as well, so feel free to support me on Patreon! www.patreon.com/AlderonTyran Thank you for watching and I hope you've enjoyed!
You should be more sory about what you did to the song. Guitar is fine btw and your voice to but the song tells a story ffs just because you got a voice and a guitar doesnt mean you ahve to earn money while ruining this work. Dont just publish any shit to please people this is not even close to what it should be. You wait with the song to keep up with the guitar, no matter how I look at this it's not good. If this is what you do for work you should reconsider your decision. Do this for a hobby, then its fine but it needs improvement in many ways.
@@phantomlord1576 Well, they tied the Director to a blown off door, then virtually drained him of his blood to give to them that needed it, all because the Director wanted to the Main Doctor to stop giving free medical care.
The way the song ends reminds me of a time when my father and his good friend volunteered in search of a rescue. Both of them were expert mountaneers, and one day, there was a case that a man had injured himself on a ledge about 50 ft up a cliff. Now the regulations mandate that rescue crew must go in from above the rescuee, but that rock face went up another 1000 feet and they qould have never made it to him. They ignored regulation and orders from the organizer and quickly scaled the face up to him and lowerd them down. And for that the were promptly dismissed. Two highly competent men lost for the sake of beuracracy.
@river6634 Sure, but that regulation makes a timely rescue in certain circumstances completely impossible. Moreover, the over 2000 feet of vertical that would have been scaled in the dark would have posed far more risk to all involved. These regulations were made by bureaucrats who sit at desks, not the expert mountaneers that they mandated were fired.
I have listened to this song for over 3 years now and I still get a good laugh at that part. On the live version, the singer, Leslie fish, adds in the line "ah, you're a type O-, wonderful" in the best voice you can imaging for this song.
I have considered volunteering for the police or paramedics, my mom was an ICU nurse for nearly 3 decades, my family has a history of military service going back to Sam whittemore in 1696 and one of my relatives is a carreer corpsman (medic for the navy and marine corps) for DEVGRU (Navy SEALs)...
I’ve never heard much of Leslie fishes songs, I’m so glad you do these covers as it lets me discover such amazing artists that I never knew about before. But I will say I like your version better.
Was literally just going through Leslie Fish's "Songs from the 3rd World War" yesterday! Perfect timing! Edit: Hello, Remember Us? from the same album would be a perfect song for you to cover at some point
I must say that I usually prefer music performed by the original artist. But you have surpassed my expectations. I feel guilty when I enjoy your performance over my favorite artist. But, hey, I'll get over it. You're just too good for me to pass you by. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with us.
Thank you for sharing this song. It has long been one of my favorites. I wonder...Am I the only one seeing this as a major block buster of a movie? I vaguely remember a 'made for tv' (I think) either during the end or after the end of the Viet Nam war. A couple of righteous doctors entered a VA hospital set in a major city near D.C. And they pretty much cleaned house. A similar theme to this song, but this one has so much more action and drama. Still. I don't watch hollywood any longer. Too repetitive, boring, and ... did I say repetitive? snicker. But, with the right Producer/Director, I'd pay to see it.Actually, Leslie Fish is such a wonderful story teller, I'd watch any movie based on her music.
You are a very talented person. I had previously seen your video for "Don't tell mom im in uktraine" and it was beautiful, it would be nice if you did "Dushman" by kaskad one day

This is amazing! If you're looking for more filk songs/artists to cover you could do midnight at the well by Bill Sutton or, Man of war from the dorsai book series.
Uh, which fire is the song referring to? From my research, all the fires I found in the second half of the 20th century up to 1982 were either arson or had casualties that weren't nearly large enough. It isn't about generic workers rights violations of the late 19th and early 20th centuries either, since the song specifically mentions 1982, which is when the song was made.
Thanks for the upload, I have a lot of homework and this is going on the playlist. Makes my day better. Would you do a cover someday of jupiter by holst? I know you played it kinda in I vow to thee my country. I'd love a dedicated Jupiter though!

@alderontyran sweet I'll have to check that one out! Another good one is "join the British army" by the Irish Brigade! :) Also, is this song a true story?

I think the echo effect was a mistake, it makes your version sound fake, like something produced to simulate the tonal quality of an early portable radio. I've heard other covers of yours, and I'm commenting only on this specific one.
