One of the most beautiful bikes on the planet....
Branon Fontaine agreed!
You know Jay made an offer after the cameras were off lol
I was just thinking that myself.
I'm from Germany
I did not know this BMW
Thank you for this video
Excuse my bad English ... but it is better than your German
I'll never forget seeing this beautiful machine at the 2011 Concorde de Elegance Florida. My jaw almost landed on the golf course. Absolutely amazing....
In summer 2005, the BMW company, workers cleaning the old Bavarian brand stores. Suddenly he found a dusty box. Inside was a disassembled motorcycle BMW R7 1934. We all fell in awe, because that was the only prototype produced. R7 admired design in art deco style and an elegant combination of steel and chrome. Technically, the BMW motorcycle ahead of his time. Some solutions of R7 used only in the 70s The twentieth century.
This has to be one of the most beautiful bikes ever.
Beautiful bike ! = ) I just wish they had made more = (
what a gorgeous bike
This kind of design makes me want to get into motorcycles and learn more about them, but I'm a car guy and always will be so... With the design of the fenders I would've guessed this was produced around the late 1950s to early 60s era, but the fact that it was made 20-30 years before that is even more amazing.
Incredible for a bike that is 78 years old. Whoever was riding around on that in 1934 must have been a pimp.
BMW R7 never made it into production. At the time of the Third Reich, it was too expensive design. Motorcycle created engineer Alfred Böning. The prototype had a two-cylinder four-stroke boxer. BMW R7 has therefore been dismantled, packed into boxes and moved it to the store. Today has been restored and delighted fans of motorcycles and art.
The cluth and handbrake are so beautiful
good god I've never wanted any piece of machinery more in my life than this one.
R7 1934 Beautiful :)
Incredible!
finally a BMW on jay's show. :)
This may sound weird, but it looks futuristic to me, almost a hundred years later
Nice to see J. Enjoying one of the best BMW had to offer from long ago ..
No rear suspension I am pretty sure . I do know there are springs under the seat .
I love the shifter
Now I have to do a resto mod with my R 100. I am inspired.
Beautifull. I'd love to see a video about Jay's Y2K bike!
I see that bike everyday and have even had the pleasure of sitting on it . One of the perks of working security at BMW here in SC. Sadly this is the last year it will be in the states. It returns to Germany January 2013.
JAY IS THE MAN
The reverse hand levers look extremely cool.
Make him an offer Jay! you know you want it,
I love those fenders
ART!!!!
Keep up the awesome vids!!
Sickest bike ever.
These are great videos
Beautiful bike.
Art Deco ... my fave!
there are 2 on his website although i would like to see an update on it as well.
No doubt:) OMG....who WOULDN'T want that bike?...lol
Could be the bike from Flash Gordon. Wonderful.
This would be more appropriate for Doc Savage
I would take an Edwardian or Georgian Period motorcycle over literally anything modern (except maybe a JPS Norton Rotary). I would love to have a 1912-1920 Indian sitting in my garage.
Now THAT'S a Beemer!
What did he say at the end? What does this pressure gauge measure?Temperature? It surely shows oil pressure but he did say something about temperature
Oil temperature and pressure.
Jaylenosgarage com its on there. Most of these videos have been posted on that site before for years.
Ihr Engisch ist gut!
I'm Shocked he didn't try to Buy it !
I get the distinct feeling that Jay does not like BMW motorcycles very much.... I mean, he seems to appreciate them with the clean, orderly engineering, but they are not very exciting. I own a '71 R75 and its lovely, solid and quiet - but again not very exciting!
they should have started it!!! i want to here it!!!
Jay Leno,
first of all nice vids :) and will you make a vid of a lamborghini aventador? :D
Boring
He made a video about it...a longgggg time ago. Check the actual Jay Leno's Garage website.
Nice
You are a very lucky guy.
good
Hi since you are familiar with this bike , do you know if there is any rear suspension, or only the coils under the seat? Also is there any similar BMW bike that got into production?I think the R17 1935 has a similar engine ?
just the seat coils. It says s in this video.
Of course it would have be Jay Leno
nice
One of a kind and worth how much? A lot.
i hear some 2 stroke music in the backround
I can very much assume that Pebble Beach is not open to the public.
it is, a ticket is about 500$ thouugh I believe.
My father owned a bmw r64 and r60
Technically, this bike and place isn't in Jay Leno's Garage....
where is the denim on denim :O
I get that he's Jay Leno but the biggest rule at any kind of show is usually NO TOUCHY.
No panel on the other side my ass!!! It even had a lock God damn Germans lol
why is J talking about the bike instead of the bald guy?
i gotta learn to ride
Never liked the idea of hot cylinders sticking out in front of my legs.
I wish some one would make a bike that looked any thing like this one today.
J is using different clothes !!! Lol
There is a clutch lever on the left handlebar, not a foot clutch. The hand shifter is on the right. This would mean that every shift requires the rider's right hand to release the throttle tube to reach for the shifter. The engine rpm will fall for all the time it takes to select a gear before grabbing the throttle again. Clumsy design.
You're supposed to let off the gas when you shift every motorcycle so it's a great design.
orange70383 A design that was so great it was never used by BMW in later models or any other manufacturer.
amphicar
I don't think BMW made a R64 bike.
Americans.. Let the man speak, goddamnit. He's not retarded.
i dont think jay owns a bmw motorcycle
im more an r12 fan
German engineering
yeah, but that's not necessarily always a bad thing.
most expensive bike in the world!!!
AS MOTOS DA BMW SÃO TODAS HORRIVEIS
Wasp. Wasp everywhere.
:)
