Its great to hear that ppl didnt intuiti ly knew what their role was as a warrior. This is actually perfect and speaks volumes for their class design. It means the class can play different roles depending on how you skill, gear and play it. This is exactly what i want at launch. I mean ranger will always be ranged dd and cleric will always be healing but ppl shouldnt kniw their role on as amny classes as possible at launch. There could nothing more boring the the warrior being like a wow warrior and the rigue being like a wow rogue etc ppl already played that stuff and dont need it again. Its time for some evolved class design where a warrior can have different roles deoending on how you play him(and with different roles i dont mean tank dd healer but actually different roles like frontline. Protecting backline, executer aoe tool etc)
so was everybody the same level and in similar gear? I don't see this as realistic as that almost never happens unless you are forced into same gear or normalization.
What I really wanna know is how long before Alpha 2 they will announce it, as I'd like to plan around it. I don't mind when it's gonna be, I just wanna know how long before it starts they'll announce it, hopefully at least 2 months in advance 🥰
@@TheoryForge How many times have we seen this same "Well this is Alpha" comment? Games do not change drastically from Alpha to Release. With all the new technology and systems AoC is trying to introduce, they are falling way behind in combat style and animations. I want this game to succeed, I really do. But the overall look and feel of combat so far is 4/10 at best.
@@TheoryForge if I had a dollar for every time someone made a comment about a new MMO that said “But it’s only Alpha, it’ll get polished and improved”, I’d be a millionaire by now. There is a huge gap between where the combat style and animations are now to where they should be for an MMO that is in Alpha and will likely be released in 2025. As a comparison, combat style and animations look more like the MMO Neverwinter which was released in 2013 rather than a next gen mmo
@@dmonkulyou’re basing that off every other game that’s been doing traditional “alpha early access” to sell unfinished games. With that being said intrepids methods should show you they’re anything but traditional. Even with the current state the game is still better than a lot of recent releases. Give them an opportunity.
I'm glad you were able to share your experience on the Node Wars! Can't wait to see you in A2!
I appreciate you!
Good video man. A lot of good information condensed here
Thank you 🙏
Thanks for this video, really helpful to hear your thoughts and excited me for Alpha 2 - see you then!
Thanks for watching 🙏
Good personal feedback on your experience with Node Wars.
Thank you 🙏
Glad you're open minded in pvp. Open world pvp is what brings the social aspect alive
It was a ton of fun. I'm looking forward to more.
@@TheoryForge just wait till you have a genuine hatred of some people and see how your addiction to outleveling them is 😄
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!
thanks for the great info! The good and the Bad. oh and Stevens office in the background is great! lol
Thank RitchieSH for that background 😁
Hell yeah! Good to hear about the variations of Cleric.
Thank you!
What are your thoughts on the likely rate of Alpha 2 being released on time in Quarter 3 as announced?
They will make their date. But it is in a true alpha state.

Thank you for this. Has it become isometric or is that just your camera setting?
They weren't lying when they said it is old school, it even looks old
No. Not isometric. Some of the visuals are artifact from the recording. The game looks beautiful when you are in it.
@@TheoryForge Thank you for the reply 🙂
Sick beard!
Thank you!
Ohhh, a separate video all on its own, cool!
First real try at a pure YT video not based on a live show

Yes except for Steven.

Wish I knew! I'll be planning around it also
@@TheoryForge yeah, I asked on X and they didn't reply :( my guess is it'll begin on September 30th and they'll announce it on the August stream.
Man... we have like... the exact same office
I snuck in overnight to film.
I was thinking that it looked a lot like Steven's office. Is the entire Ashes community actually just Steven wearing different disguises?
I really hope this game is successful
Me too! I think it will but there is still a ton of work left to do before we get there.
I like playing this video on my phone and spamming the rewind
"What-wot-wot"
Wot wot what?
Combat animations still need a lot of work and polish :/
Well I mean it is an alpha. That would be great feedback for the team. 😊

Games do not change drastically from alpha to release? Alpha is for building and testing systems. Beta is for content and polish.

Seems like you the only one in the group pushing content out, maybe it’s time to branch out.
I appreciate the encouragement

Nah. What is a question is the ceiling.
Doesnt look anything like the screenshots from years ago. Looks like trash.
It looks great in person
It looks great in video too. Bros internet can probably only show in 144p
