When people think of Japan, people think of Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, etc. But Kyushu is a gem too. There are SO many "undiscovered" (I mean it from foreign tourists' perspectives) places on the Kyushu island.

If you’re going back again, another picturesque place in northern Kyushu is Kikuchi Gorge in northern Kumamoto. This is also a short drive from the edge of the Aso caldera and a number of lookout points with great vistas.
You might also like Yufuin in Oita Prefecture. It’s an onsen town up in a broad mountain valley.

Hi Hannah. I started following you last week and have watched so many of your vlogs now. Love all the mountain scenery and hiking ones. Am blown away by how quiet Kyoto was on your visit this year. But so nice to see Kiyomizu temple finally fully revealed again after all those years? So different from my 3 trips in the last 6 years, including January 2019. Funny, but I was looking at photos recently of being there in ‘92 (when hubby and I lived in the Chiba prefecture for 2 years) and saw how much quieter it was then. I am grateful for those years but gosh I wish I had a video back then. Anywho (as you like to say), I am discovering so many beautiful places through you to hopefully visit with hubby (my last 2 trips were with my daughter) when he retires and I take leave, but only wish these old falling apart knees of mine can still manage some hikes as that is our favourite thing to do. Keep up the great work. Ps. I also watched your two part episodes of your trip in Kyushu on my 7plus app. Nice work… still very you. Fingers crossed you get some more jobs like that.

We were lucky enough to go to Kyushu 2 years ago and it fast became one of our favourite places in Japan. This video evokes our trip perfectly with stunning visuals and gorgeous gob smackingly beautiful scenery. Takachiho is so effin' lovely and I wanna go back so bad. We saw cows under sakura in front of an erupting Mt Aso. Where else in the world could you see something like that? Thanks Hannah for sharing your amazing video of this gloriously fabulous natural wonder of the world. Great stuff.

Hi Hannah! Some of my favorite videos you've made were the ones you travel solo. The combination of self-filming, cinematic shots, and the amazing background music makes me want to go out and try videography. Maybe for a video, Chris can document how you vlog solo in these destinations. And it would also be nice to hear from you the factors that affect you ability to solo vlog. I can imagine leaving my camera a short distance away to film myself in Japan but not in other locations. Anything that can help future would-be solo vloggers. :)
