@thedonutcreed Jealous much? Some people care enough to warn their loved ones not to touch potentially harmful insects, therefore must be assholes, amirite? Fuck off mate. My girlfriend is exactly like this and I do exactly the same, you know why? Because I know her and know that she is so curious she would probably want to pick it up to take a closer look and get hurt in the process. I love that about her, except when she gets hurt by something over it, so I completely understand.
You guys really did deliver on everything you said. Sometimes people who document their travels just speak about what they saw without having a chance to capture all the beauty of their journey. Awesome job!

Welcome to my hometown! I'm really happy that people from overseas come like this, if you like it, please come back again and again! I look forward to it, please do your best!
Hi, I know this comment of yours is from 1 year ago and it is weird to respond that.Sorry for the disturbance. I'm a Japanese Language and Literature university student from Turkey and I have accepted by Miyazaki University for 1 year education. That's why I am searching on Miyazaki recently. It is so nice to see people from Miyazaki here! Maybe we can meet one day if you don't mind!
We made it down to Kyushu!! :D IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL Extra fun vids from Kyushu going up on our Adventures channel: ua-cam.com/video/mCV9IRhpK0A/v-deo.html
I want to thank Rachel & Jun and the community for the subtitles! As a Deaf person who loves Japan (actually going there next year for honeymoon!), the subtitles are invaluable to me as auto-caption can suck sometimes. Keep up the amazing work, and I'm now a subscriber because of this!
You know you have been living in Japan for a long time when you started to say things like "...butterflies have also been known to puddle on rotten fruit, dung, carrion, human sweat, and rarely even tears and blood" and then followed by saying ""aww so cute".
_"She left behind her breast to feed her son"_ I actually love the amazing imagination of these kinds of folk tales. Like children's mind. They do not care about reality at all and that's what makes the folk stories and legends so unique and intriguing. 😄
This video will always be special to me. This was the video that actually inspired me to go to Japan the first time. Meanwhile I have been there 5 times. 3 times in this year alone.
Miyazaki!!!! always going to have a special place in my heart as the first place i properly explored in japan ❤️ i really want to go back! i loved udo jingo! :D
its his true nickname...butterfly are insect, and some like dead corpse...like flies likes shit, or death corpse too,....and for the "demon" part, with your imagination you can easily associate species tastes to divine or yokai attitude..
Wow! What a nice place It is so beautiful and with its scenery is really worth a visit. Natural in Japan likes a fairytale. Thank you Rachel and Jun for showing us the beauty of this land.❤❤
Takachiho gorge is AMAZING. We went there when I was in Japan, and there were high school kids in little rowboats trying to impress each other down on the water; there was also a man with a boathook and an outboard motor, because inevitably the rowboats would get caught under one of the smaller waterfalls and be unable to move, and then you'd have *shrieking schoolkids* that he had to rescue by tugging their rowboat from beneath the falls. We watched this over and over. However, there was a fest going on and there was *tons* of food being sold at the main shrine, and I stuffed my face with fresh-cooked fish raised right there and the biggest dango I have EVER seen! So good! And then I went off and sat by the gorge and listened to birdsong and falling water for a long, long time until I dozed off. Wonderful!
If it makes you feel any better, grates like that are usually MORE structurally sound than a sheet of metal, because the grates can be thicker in the up/down direction while keeping the same weight. It's like trying to bend a strip of paper while keeping it flat vs just folding it regularly.
Whoa!!! I would not even be able to set one foot on that bridge. I'm terrified of heights and would definitely have a major panic attack if I was even close to it. Also, the blue dress your wearing in this video is gorgeous and you looked stunning in it. May I ask where you got it? Thank you.
Rachel & Jun Thank you for the information. My goodness you got it for a fantastic deal! I'm looking around online and the cheapest I can find it (converted to Canadian Dollars,) is still over 100 bucks.
IMO this is one of your best videos ever in terms of footage, editing, etc. - It instantly makes me wanna go back to Miyazaki. Thanks for a great and inspiring video guys. ^^ Thomas
I was familiar with Rachel and Jun from some of the other vloggers, but it is Rachel's voice doing the narrations that made me subscribe! So relaxing to hear her natural tones explaining the locations of the video. Looking forward to more!
"WHAT IS IT!?"
"Don't touch it."
this sums you two up really well actually

I actually love the amazing imagination of these kinds of folk tales. Like children's mind. They do not care about reality at all and that's what makes the folk stories and legends so unique and intriguing. 😄

Hello! I'm from "Miyazaki"!
I'm Miyazaki international courage student. I always have fun watching your videos.
omg. It's so stunning! Funny that it has the same name as the director who is so famous for his depictions of nature.
My wife is from Hyuga. I always love visiting Miyazaki
Maravilloso Japón.
Muy buenas fotos. 😃😃😃😃👍
You could say that gorge was GORGEous
You stepped on the grating on THAT bridge? jesus, I can't even go up a small set of grate stairs

Not afraid of heights, but I still hadn't thought about that, interesting.
You must be fun at parties!

"If you drink the cave boob water" THAT QUOTE WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY!!
Not needed because there is already overpopulation
This.. is why I want to go to Japan. To travel and paint along the way.
"Cave boob water" xD

lol who else recognised the longhorn beetle immediately because of Animal Crossing?
Sky Paladin the bug part totally reminded me of animal crossing. such a fun game to pass the time. :)
