Man thank you I can’t tell you how many places I’ve asked and got no response. I tried this and I’m not sure I’m getting what I’m looking for although I think I’m close. I’m a one man band playing live, and basically what I do is I start track one which has the rhythm on it, then as it is playing I switch to either track two or track three and record guitar or vocal on top of that. I was hoping that when I recorded on track two or three it could be set up so the rhythm is not underneath it. I’ll keep playing with this to see if your method works, I hope so but again thank you so much for answering my question!
Oh I see! In that case you could set up just one button by itself to start and stop the rhythm. I believe there is a way to select that function for any of the pedals in the menu.
Thank you so much for your insight. The only problem I see using the assigns is that they are a system wide setting. That means it will play the same variation (A-D) you have assigned on footswitches 2,4 & 6 regardless of the song/memory or drum pattern you have selected for that particular song/memory. Being able to select a specific rhythm variation per track seems like such a no brainer for them to include. I'm tired of paying big money for products and them leaving it up to the consumers to create "work arounds" for simple functions that should have been included in the first place. The ommision of this feature alone has me ready to return it.
Agreed! It's still a really good product overall, but the rhythm functionality is kind of lacking and I'm disappointed that features from other Boss Products aren't available on it. For example, I'm not aware of a way to trigger drum fills with the push of a button. I've gone through the extremely limited manual it ships with and the online PDF and it doesn't mention hardly anything about them. On the Boss RC-10R, they could be triggered by tapping the rhythm button. Why this simple feature wasn't brought over kind of blows my mind.
are you sure on that one? I just checked on my unit, and ASSIGNS are memory specific... which is a pity for me, since I use 6 assigns to control tracks volumes with a midi controller, but it only works for one specific memory...
Great tip! Assigns are powerfull thing, like triggers in SQL :-) I feel like at work, when programming databases. Now I'm looking for a way to get the beat to play an intro only for first track in song, even when there's already something recorded on it.
Thanks so much for your generous sharing man! I'm loving my 600 but can only use it simply. Such a basic question that don't expect an answer........but..... So you can assign a track button to stop and start one of the rhythms? One that you have queued in? Does it mean that those tracks are now not free for looping with? Do you have a choice in which mode? I think that I'm perhaps totally not getting it! Cheers
Teej… great videos! Thank you so much! I just got the RC 600 and have two questions I was wondering if you could help with: 1. When I first turned on my unit, the fourth knob below the screen was master effects reverb, But when I turn it, it just changes from modes one, two, and three. I tried customizing all four knobs by moving the master reverb to the third knob and putting master compression to the fourth knob. When I did, I could control master compression from 0 to 100, but my master reverb on the third knob still just changed the modes. Ie…I can’t apply reverb to everything such as the rhythm sounds, like I used to on my boss RC 505. 2. Do you know if it’s possible for me to queue up the next track instead of it being instant? Ie, I know I can build a three-part song, for example, on tracks one, two, and three (where one is the verse, two is the chorus, and three is the Outro). But I want to queue up those tracks rather than hit them right on time (when the chorus should start). In other words, I put my verse on track one and set it to single mode instead of multi, and then I made my chorus on track two and also set it to single mode instead of multi. But while track one’s loop is playing, if I hit track two’s play button, I was hoping that it wouldn’t instantly switch from track one to track to right then but rather start playing track two after track one’s loop is done. But every time I click track two, it instantly switches in the middle of track one’s loop. Does that make sense? Thanks so much!
As of now, I haven't been able to figure out how drum fills work in regard to recording loops. It's been a highly requested tutorial. As soon as I figure out myself I'll upload it!
I see people building their own rhythms, is there a way to turn off the click or rhythm altogether? are the performances I'm seeing, they're just turning the built in rhythm volume down to zero? Loading a blank template from the rhythm converter? Thanks.
Considering buying this. Are there any flaws not yet addressed in updates? How many extra footswitches can you plug in? Some brands have 3 switches with one cable, others only 2. I have a Korg expression pedal, not sure about compatability.
Teeg I got this working, but I think what I was trying to do was only have track to record whatever I had on it but still be able to play the rhythm on track one. It just seem like having rhythm and all three track was overkill
I have one additional question for you, do you know if it’s possible to route the rhythm track to its own out port, such as the sub out? This might give me the flexibility I’m looking for. Thanks and advance for all your help.
I’m really confused… did you reverse your play/record and stop buttons for the three tracks? (Sorry if I missed this somewhere). It looks like you’re hitting “Stop” and those tracks are playing
You're obviously a very intelligent dude. I like the way you explain things. Much appreciated.
wow, now I understand all the stuff with the Assign possibility. Thank you so much for helping me to get this done. Great help.
Teej, thanks for your posts. I'll try this for the 505Mk2. Appreciated and Subscribed.

Uploading a video explaining how to get the drum intro to play when you hit play. It''ll always be whichever track you select first.
Hi, i don't have a rhythm stop on mine. Any suggestions? I just got mine. The sceeens look different than yours. Thank you. Excellent video.

Great videos - thanks. I notice you have the default STOP switch actually set to PLAY. What is the advantage of that? Cheers 🙏

Hi, very helpful video. I'm wondering about the drum fills. Can they be recorded?

I explained this in a new video!
hey man could you please explain how to change the rhythm level? have been searching for a while now, no clue ! Thanks for the tips, have fun
Uploading a quick video on this!
What stand do you have your RC 600 on? I want to buy the same stand.
Uploading a video explaining what I use. Unfortunately you're not going to like the answer 😂
Since you are setting this up under the main, will this by default, apply to every single memory?
I’m really confused… did you reverse your play/record and stop buttons for the three tracks? (Sorry if I missed this somewhere).
It looks like you’re hitting “Stop” and those tracks are playing
