Hi @thesplitwheel ...i am in te same situation, after the rc300 i bought me this 600.... but for me its not working to switch the record imidiatly.. before i was ablento put a loop on track one, overdubing it and than switch imidetly to record on track II. thst was even possible between bars, and on the 600 i cant. even with this settings... how are you? you know this problem? or didn't you use this dirrect switch between recordings? thank you
Thank you so much for your video!! I just got an RC-600 today (upgrading from an RC-30) and was really frustrated with the loop settings but watching your video helped a lot.
With RC-5 I can set auto record, duration of loop (4 bars eg) and bpm; arm the looper and it will start recording 4 bars when I start playing, and will continue playing the loop when 4 bars are recorded. Obviates the need to get timing exactly right on clicking buttons. I can’t figure out how to do this on RC-600. Can you help? Ugh.

Quick question for you Marc (and the audience). I'm still struggling with my live looping setup. I want to lay down a rhythm track, anywhere from 4-8 bars. This will play through the whole song. I want to be able to add layers of other rhythm components mid-loop, say from bars 3-5. Currently when I do this, my consecutive loops start at the same point as the main loop (bar 1), and therefore are out of time. I note I can overcome this by switching record/reaction to 'dub' as you have above, but then I don't want the dub mode on automatically for consecutive loops. I want to create 6 individual tracks that can be overdubbed but won't align to bar 1. Essentially, I want all 6 tracks to work like an independent looper with overdub, but not the automatic overdub that seems to occur when record/reaction is set to 'dub' as above. Many thanks in advance.
Hi Marc, Just bought one. I used rc 30 initially, but needed more tracks for more layers. How do I access the vocal effects for the mic? I am using mic 1 for harmonies, and vocal licks. For the straight melody, I use a separate mic thru boss ve 2 vocal harmoniser pedal for and bypass the rc 600 completely, so as not to pick up unwanted vocals while adding layers on other instruments. Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Steve, North Wales, UK.
Hey Marc, thanx for this setup video. I was wondering if it was possible to turn of the blue and red blincking light (the big circle) newt to tap tempo button. Im thinking of buying this unit, but I really hope that light can be switched off..
Great set up guide I just got the 500, but am thinking of going to the 600 Here’s my question- if I want a percussion track on the song loop I’m making, do I record the percusión to a track?
is it possible to assign two fx bank to two inputs and use them simultaneously. I play guitar and sing at the same time. Both my guitar input and mic inputs need fx. I can make only one fx bank active at a time which is assigned to one input; another input does not receive fx. How am i suppose to get two fx banks for two inputs at the same time?
It’s not gonna “break” if you don’t update the firmware. But it could glitch out and have other issues depending on which firmware version you have. They’re constantly fixing bugs etc.
Question to any BOSS RC-600 users: have you run into an issue where you lose all the settings you put into "loop" under Memory 01 as soon as you switch from Memory 01 to Memory 02, and then switch back to Memory 01?
Actually I think I've just figured it out... I was saving incorrectly! I was pressing the two buttons to save but missed the third step, but now I see an "Executing..." when it actually saves properly 🤦♀
For some reason I dont have all of the same options as this. Anyone know why? I have Play Mode, Measure, and Loop sync but not loop length. And I can't adjust the measure setting. Its stuck at 2
Hi man, i thought you will bring me the solution with this video, but i still have a stuggle... setting up everythink like you said, but when i go dirrectly from a overdub (track1) DIRRECTLY to record on track II, it wont start recording imidetly... it keeps me waiting for the next full bar... :-/
Just Brought an RC600 after using an RC300 for years. Just right where you've placed this tutorial. Thank You
Nice!!

This is by the far most efficient setup video I have found since I bought this. Thank you!!
Well that’s super kind!! I’m so glad it helped👍🏻

You sir, just saved my life.
I remember I almost sent this thing back to the store because I couldn’t get it to work. Back then, I wished someone had made this video for me!!
Thank you my friend. I needed this type of efficiency.
Yeah!!🙌🏻
Thank you so much!!!!!

Dude, I watch your stuff all the time man🤣
Do you need to save everytime you make any changes liket the ones you made? (thanks for the tutorial, great work)
I think I’m overly cautious and just save every time, just in case🤣

Not sure about turning it off, but you can assign almost anything to any button.
@@MarcAllredVideos Allright, thanx Marc
@lunAcoustic, I saw someone turn off that blinking light in another video, I'm pretty sure it can be done.
Great set up guide
I just got the 500, but am thinking of going to the 600

You either record your own track or use the onboard percussion track.

This is great I did that for each track but it won't save my settings how do I save them like this
Do you have to do this for each memory setting? Is there a way to do it globally?
Not sure about that one.
Will it break or not work if you never update the firmware?
It’s not gonna “break” if you don’t update the firmware. But it could glitch out and have other issues depending on which firmware version you have. They’re constantly fixing bugs etc.
How do you save these settings? 😅 I’m completely new to this but I don’t want to have to change this again for every track or every time I power down

When I follow your steps, I miss the "Sync Mode - loop lenght" button, how can I find it when it doesn't appear automatically?
Not sure about that. I’ll have to look into that.
everything wasn't carect it means nothing i use 6 track
