Nice video, but you left out a lot of important information like: How to close your selection (right mouse click), How to deal with for example a finger that's coming in a shot. Your'e pre comp solid layer
disappeared?? (2:05) A lot of people that are trying to do this for the first time are having problems! I don't want to sound rude, just a tip for next time ;-)

Don't understand how you desappear and appear the Screen replace composition on the clip, you erase it? you hide it? Because when I do the tracking, it is far away from the correct place :c
Awesome tutorial, the green screen on the phone is a game changer, I use to have to mask track the thumb.Such a better and more efficient technique.

I understand that people who just start dont get it. But if u have a little bit of mocha expierence but cant get it to work properly normally, the blue box with the S is a gamechanger. I didnt know you had to define the box in where the corner pins would stay. Thank you!!!!

Why is it that when I click the planar surface tool the blue box does not appear?
Not happy with the tutorial, expected a 5 minute tutorial, but get a 2 minute one where he doesn't mention all the steps, and the other 3 minutes are only self marketing
Green screen is not always available. How about an iPhone screen replacement when there’s curves such as the example in this video??

I love how you learn so much from these guys about how to deal with tracking issues or troubleshooting when these dudes in these tutorials fly right through without ANY PROBLEMS, WHATSOEVER... so you are forced to watch 10 other videos on how do to something when you it could have at least been touched on in one, @!#$! video...
Thanks but this didn't work for me since 02:56. This only seems to work for footage that is perpendicular to the cam, while in my footage the phone has a bit of z rotation of it is seen a bit from the side. The tracking didn't work

If you dont have a green screen how would you put the screen behind (like the keylight method)
I had to do this once for a project, the way I did it was tracking the whole screen with mocha

Great tutorial! Damn... I always thought Mocha AE is some kind of external $$$ plugin 🤦♂️
This is my first time using After Effects for this point, believe me you made things very bad and complicated

This didnt work for me at first. Did everything but the motion wasnt tracked at all. Not sure why. But then watched another video and saw the culprit.. When you clicked forward at the bottom, that didnt actual track anything it just played the footage, so you have to go to the left panel and select track motion buttons. So this video still helped, just need some extra clarity :)
where did solid pre comp1 go before u add mocha?

Yeah it’s a picture I made in photoshop but it can be any green graphic

Options within Mocha are greyed out.. so i cant even select "perspective" although this vid was edited in 5 mins.. it doesnt give a good breakdown

It’s nothing special. Just made a green solid graphic and opened it in photos. You could just a photo so something green if you really wanted

don't waste your time if you are first time using this tool. he's not mentioning what he's clicking or any key that he's pressing.
Oof. Next time make this 20 minutes and explain exactly what you are doing. This video reeks of bait without any real theory involved.

Too fast :( i lost some basic movement (that you dont show) and i can't get it right to the end...
a tutorial involving mocha, this should be fun, im not experienced with it
you fly right through the solid/pre-comp crap which makes the video useless right out of the gate.
