I loved the part you did the finishing process... The icing on the cake to really sell the Visual Effect. Thanks so much for the quality tutorials you always make for us. Soon I'll be as good as you are. God bless you real good 🙏🏾
oh my god dude i thought i was so cooked😭i'm working on a project with my dream company and they asked me to superimpose something wihtout a green screen, and I've used after effects twice before😭😭😭but this is such a great tutorial I'm not scared anymore SO GREATFUL THANK YOU SO MUCH
Hi, could you please tell me how to revise/fix in the middle of tracking? I've tried manual tracking, but when i tracked until the end of timeline, suddenly the front part all drifted, i also happened when i used the "Adjust Track" method. Hope you can explain this problem. Many thanks !
when you are setting up the perspective corners, how do you grab the square and the actual corner at once? Do you have to manually grab the square first?? Also its so easy for my mouse the size of the square versus moving it
When I go to the project tab to drag my clip to the timeline the go back to project, Mocha disappears and when I reopen it and choose select tracking data, there are no layers in the message box that I can track to
How would this process differ if you are trying to replace a screen without motion? (ie. it is just a stationary screen or still shot of a screen). Also what would you do if the screen replacment needs to be done in the middle of a scene and not from the beginning to end?
Question: when I'm turning on 3d on the layer (in your case it's a video game), it's not placing in the position of the solid layer created with the camera like in your video. It's like sticking at the center, though with correct movement. Any ideas how to fix it? I'm using 2nd method.
try holding shift when you're parenting it to the solid layer - this should make the video layer snap to the positioning that the solid has, after that you should be able to just adjust scale and position - hope this helps!
It used to happen to me to when I started working on Green Screens. You probably did not Key it properly. 1:16 watch how he adjusts the Keylight Effect while viewing the result in Alpha mode to get a perfect Key... that's the secret 😊
What if my screen (phone screen) has a hand in front of it every so often touching the screen? How do I replace it without the tracking affected by the interruption?
I would use the mocha method and try selecting all points except for the section with the subjects thumb - as long as it has a good portion of the phone to track from you should be all set. Alternatively you can use the 3d camera tracking method as well if the camera tracker has points that aren't obstructed by the subjects thumb
My superimposed video layer goes flying all over the place when the shot starts playing, instead of staying in place. Any obvious thing I'm missing? (I'm using the second method because the client just gave me a stock video shot with no green or markers or anything.
@@linestodesigns You're so great for responding on a Friday night (monday deadline). I wasn't holding shift, but just tried that, same results. I must have watched this middle section of your video 10x and tried from scratch 10x, same thing, video layer just goes flying all over the place instead of staying superimposed on the TV screen.
@@linestodesigns you know what - I just realized that you had used both the Track Matte AND Parent & Link pick whips, and I hadn't been using the latter. I'm really sorry if that was obvious and dumb - I'm a video editor and only know the basics of motion, this is the first time I've done something like this for a client. My video is still drifting and not totally staying put, but it's better than it was.
No logro entender por qué las personas que hacen tutoriales de AE van tan apurados. La última parte me interesaba pero va tan rápido que no lo pude seguir.
Simply the best screen replacement tutorial! Thanks so much for putting this out here! You saved us!🙏
Thanks so much! Glad it helped

Can You Please Make A Video Tuts On Newspaper/Paper Surface Tracking In Mocha.
Amazing ❤❤
Thanks!!

Same process only you would skip the motion tracking part of these tutorials - thanks for watching!
Can you add more points to perspective corner pin?
yeah stretching the video in the first solution, is it fixable?
what if the screen is curved though like a tV?
Hey!
Would you please provide me with link to video samples that you modified ?
Best regards

Everytime I use the keylight effect it always makes my footage noisy, I have a great SR but it the noise just kills the entire project. Any tips?
Okay as soon as I typed this I found a setting in the keylight panel and chanced it to source instead of soft color
I always find some green edges popping out at some point of the edited video. The tracking never comes out accurate. Any solution for that?

What if you have a moving shot tracking L to R and we have more than one green screen monitor that must show different content?
You can create multiple track layers 👍🏼 thanks for watching!

When you pick whip it to the solid layer are you holding shift? This will make the layer change its parameters to that solid

For some reason my corner pins are not staying in place when I track forward 😭 they just go completely off screen do you know why?
same bro
Which method are you using? I find the Mocha method much more precise and accurate than Ae's built- in tracker.
No logro entender por qué las personas que hacen tutoriales de AE van tan apurados. La última parte me interesaba pero va tan rápido que no lo pude seguir.
But how do we create the SOLVED stamp? 🤔 🤭
Never ever works like that, those keys randomly just decide to move somewhere on their own.. :D
lmao is funny how knew they client caused the problem 🤦♂
It’s always the ones who say “Fix it in Post!”
Good but you speak much too quickly and the images too
Thanks for the feedback!
