Omgg you know this restaurant is also my most favorite in Japan. It’s affordable, delicious, good quality and foreigners friendly. I got the meat and seafood course. The scallops were so good it was big and delicious. I highly recommend!
The ones in Japan were very different from ours, but they were SO GOOD, but quite expensive because sometimes you accidentally order whats not included in the AYCE menu. Great video as always!
You can easily do this at home, as well... just buy a variety of meats and slice them ahead of time. A cast iron hibachi grill is commonly available at sporting goods stores. They are small, efficient, and fit on a table top (make sure you do it outside) -- also great for road trips/beach meals.
These videos make me so hungry! Everything looks amazing. I struggle with having any kind of appetite so I watch your videos to get me in the mood to eat. Thank you so much!
It's sad that your second visit wasn't that nice. Sometimes it's better to enjoy the great moment and don't try to repeat it. But it's good for everyone watching this video because we all know now him important it is to check the grill. Thank you for sharing your experience 😀
Oh, we have several Gyu-Kaku here in the US nowadays. It's very nice to have the option, though the tables are Westernized and I miss traditional Japanese tables. One day we'll be lucky enough for Coco Ichibanya to expand and I'll get good curry again.
When a grill is low on gas, it will be cold... even if you turn the heat to maximum. The staff failed to monitor the fuel level, and should never let it become low, due to food safety precautions (raw meat can be dangerous).
Love it, looks so tasty 🥰. I don't meant to be rude, but I had to turn off the sound for a large part of the video because the people in the backround (maybe next to you) were very... noisy. Maybe it's me, thank goodness there are subtitles. Hope you enjoyed that meal!
@@mashelly____ They're not being rude though so i don't really see anything wrong with their comment. And pretty sure they aren't complaining but they probably just said that they didn't wanna sound rude for saying that the people beside them were noisy

I definitely have to check out this place if I ever go to Japan again. Have to say the background is pretty noisy and that’s rare coming from a video filmed in Japan. Funny thing I can hear Thai at one point which is the loudest among the Japanese chatter lmao.
Gyu-Kaku has greatly shredded fresh meat with high quality, which is my favourite All-you-can-eat BBQ restaurant! Thank you so much for sharing the amazing reviews with the video!!
I used to go to the Gyu-Kaku's in NYC all the time. They had the best all day happy hours at the bars (5$ mega mugs of Kirin were the best!). Since Covid, the prices have gone way up, and all day happy hour is gone. Not worth the effort anymore to go with how bad NYC has become.
When I was a little girl in school, kids made fun of my eyes and called me "Chinese eyes" "Chinese girl" they were too ignorant to know I'm half Native American and half European. I would always get asked "What are you?" 😆 At any rate, I found myself very interested in Chinese and Asian culture. And always wondered, if I ever travelled to China or Japan, would they ask me "what are you?" As well. Or would they see me as one of them. Fascinating. I LOVE your UA-cam channel. Thank you for posting such interesting content. Have a good day. 😊 From Tulsa Oklahoma, USA
I would have refused to pay for extra time for something that was out of my control due to their negligence to check their equipment, but I definitely would have brought it up immediately when I noticed. I already feel most of the burners in these places aren't hot enough to truly grill but it's also not safe for food safety reasons to let it be that low.
Thats what happened to us. We went to a KBBQ and the grill was so low, even though the temp said high. The thing is, the food never got brown. Pale white. Looked awful. Took 15minutes to cook pork which was cut really thin. We never went back. We told the staff, but they assured us the grill was hot. Now we have a fav one that we go to once a fortnight. Love it.
I've not heard great reviews about this place; I guess the locals go elsewhere. I'd try it, but I think my trip to Japan in December has to be scrapped for now.
Really cool you got to try Gyu Kaku as this is my favorite japanese chain that is here in California. Unfortunately though here it is over twice the price 😭
Sitting on the floor would be very hard for people with any kind of hip problems, I could never sit on the floor and people were sitting so lose to you I would never visit this restaurant. I hope that you both enjoyed your selves. Looking forward to seeing your next video.👍🏻❤️
Just ran across this video on my UA-cam recommendations. Will definitely go to this restaurant when I get to Tokyo. Are there any minimum diners required? I'm going to be traveling solo
Gyu-Kaku is also in the US, but the AYCE is way more expensive here than in Japan. $48 per person for 90 minutes($24 for kids, $32 for people 60 or over) vs roughly $25 for the lowest level AYCE that we saw in the video.
@@zgamer200 I wouldn't mind making the trip, never been there before and I hear it has some interesting places to check out so maybe I'll plan a lil vacation there someday! Thanks!
I'm wondering, when you and Mrs. Bacon are going to the restaurants is there workers or customers that recognizes you? If so, they tried to make a conversation with you?

We have a Gyu-Kaku in Orlando, it opened a couple of years ago. It's a little pricey, but a fun experience.
