The bit at the end where you let the vid run of just the wagyu grilling was so pleasant. The bustling restaurant in the background and the crackling of fire made it very peaceful ❤
Upon a closer listen I think the song that’s playing at 6:06 is Pretty Fly (for a White Guy) by the Offspring, not Come Out and Play. But still super surreal to hear in a Japanese restaurant all the same lmao
I did not think a restaurant in Japan would be playing the Offspring in it 😂. That food looked really good and with those sweet tunes, I think it would be a wonderful place to eat at
@@justinnampui4757 Thank you for that very insightful reply. The entirety of the internet is better for knowing what music you find annoying. Your uncalled for, ignorant negative comment for no reason will be a testament to your inability to just shut up and let others enjoy what they enjoy.
Less than $30 USD for that set for the both of you is a great deal! As it happens, the Sex Machineguns (one of Japan's best, longest running, and hardest metal bands) have a song called "Yakiniku Party" which is a really fast and crunchy thrash metal song about having a BBQ party! How funny is that? What is the name of this restaurant so I can add it to the list of places I need to eat at when I go back to Japan someday? While you're in Japan, you might want to check out JInbocho, the "Battleground of Curry" that Mike Chen raved about as much as he did when he was there several years ago. It's high on my priority list for when I go back there, for sure.
Beef Tongue is a delicious delicacy around here in South Africa. We always get it for Christmas dinner and it tastes amazing - and you know it's cooked correctly when it melts in your mouth.
@@cupcake4798 it's a literal tongue. It's usually cut into roundish relatively thin strips with the taste buds around the edges. When cooked it's very soft and flavorful (most people say it just tastes like beef, but I don't think so. It does taste good tho) and weirdly almost melts in your mouth because it has such a tender texture, and usually served cold with a lot of salt. I don't recall it being a main dish - usually just a side dish or a snack food on a tray. I personally think it goes really well on sandwiches.
hey! I have been a follower of yours for a long time. My grandparents were Japanese and since I was a child I have always wanted to learn more about their culture or Asian culture itself. I live in Argentina, so I am a bit far from knowing what their lifestyle is like and also my grandparents are no longer in this world, but your videos have helped me connect with that part of the culture, get to know it and have more desire to know those places someday. Thank you very much dancing bacons! 🇦🇷🇯🇵
Same. My grandmother was born in Nagasaki. I always regretted not getting to know her better. She could barely speak English. She used to make me sushi. It was a long time before I realized normal kids didn't eat sushi, lol.
I don't feel comfortable traveling due to my chronic medical conditions, but you transport me to other lands, so I don't feel like I'm missing out as much. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!
Lol you let ur medical issues rule and control your life and have adopted them as your personality and who you are. Even to yourself you are just known as that sick person that can't do anything. Maybe do something about it 🤔
This looks awesome. A nice interactive means of cooking with delicious meats and foods. :d I would love to have a visit to one of these places one day.
I thought I was old when I heard Siouxsie and the Banshees playing at a supermarket, but now Blondie in a casual restaurant? Someone give me a cane so I can shake it!
If you have a Korean barbecue near you, then you can experience something like this. Also, if you're ever in Southern California, there are many delicious authentic Asian establishments that would delight you.
Yeah, I feel like there’s a decent amount of good KBBQ in the US, but it also depends on which city you’re in. I had some this weekend and it was super good.
I think I'll be in Japan for Christmas and New Years; at least that's the plan now, but it depends on my latest heart test results. I'll be eating wagyu beef for sure. And lots of sushi, especially when I head to Northern Japan. Funny thing; when my Sister and I were young, my Mom used to make the most delicious ham sandwiches on fresh bakery bread, topped with slices of green onion and English mustard. It wasn't until I was 17 or so that my Mom finally confessed that were weren't eating ham sandwiches, it was beef tongue 😂 She eventually stopped making them because it was a long cooking process to get the tongue tender, and you had to peel off a membrane that covered the whole tongue. I got my Mom to teach me how she cooked it, but it was never as good as hers. In fact I think I was so disgusted by pulling off the membrane that I only made it a few times. Now I'm heading to the grocery store and I'm going to give it another go, this time using my Dutch oven to slowly cook the tongue. Cheers from Ontario 🇨🇦
So love your videos, this one was an eye opener for this Canadian male. Never seen a restaurant like this, food looks awesome and the 80's music playing in the background kicks all kinds of butt.
Nice video the food looked awesome and the juggling between you n Mrs.B when putting in the meat was funny. Speaking of Mrs.B the color of her blouse was super flattering on her made her look even more spectacular. 😍
Tongue is usually eaten in italy. In North italy we serve it with a sauce made with parsley, anchovies, garlic, vinegar, bread and chopped together with a kitchen processor. I love it sliced thin with this sauce.
Nah, in my opinion, u can find a better place to eat. Cuz tables are too small, and u can't eat comfortable( u will get mess with all this food in front of you) Also, this grill is the worst thing, that i've seen. Noone cooks meat on "openfire" ,(u can easily get burn ur skin) including this expensive wagyu slices. I would recommend you , to not visit this place.
Always interesting to see culture who enjoy unusual cuts of meat. I knew that beef tongue is an option with Mexican cooking, so seeing it in Japan is impressive. You are correct that it is an acquired taste.
Were getting a kpot which has both all you can eat hotpot and bbq and I'm so glad to finally experience this kind of dining. Especially after watching your videos.
Our area is finally building a Korean BBQ and hot pot restaurant. My daughter and son in law are just as excited as I am. I just hope they serve other Korean dishes too. I watchvtoo much Tzuyang and watching her eat all that delicious food and wanting to know what it all taste like is so hard! My mouth waters just thinking of it. Lol
