As a mom who stepped on lego's for too many years and I bought my son his 1st bass when he was 12, this thing is kick ass! I am beyond impressed, thank you I truly have a huge smile on my face right now!
I agree. There are tons of people who build guitars, but watching this channel is always very enjoyable and inspiring. He works in a planned and meticulous manner. It is also very enjoyable to listen to the melodies of the guitars he has built.
One of the coolest looking basses I've seen on youtube. Piezo "compromises some tone" is an understatement, though. Great project that emphasizes style over sound.

You played. And it sounded incredible ...sounds great to my ears. The fact you play these at the end of your video shows...it works is real deal.

I don't think it compromised the tone at all... It has some good bass and mid tones, with crispy treble. It's like a jazz bass with some personality of its own. I liked it!
I really like how you are always experimenting. You are always pushing the edge and trying new materials. Nice work. I personally would have liked to see you seal the body sides with some type of binding material to make the edges smooth.
Nothing wrong with your bass technique. There’s a whole historical approach to bass as a true descendant of guitar, and those people often use flamenco-style picking. Anthony Jackson, I think, plays with that style in a truly virtuosic fashion. Love your work, man. Thanks for sharing.

i think it looks and sounds awesome. i love the body and headstock shape. the white epoxy fret board resembles pearl inlay. im not a fan of the open Legos around the edges but this is pretty amazing. great job.
Just recently built my own Explorer style guitar. Came out a lot better than I'd thought it would. Guess you could say your videos were sort of an inspiration.

Let's just give this man an applause. Made everything from ground up, body , neck. Fredboard with truss rod. As for the fret board, Bendon small has a white flying V with a phenalic fret board. This Bass looks amazing and clean. No pickup in from makes Bass look even cooler. Great job.
That’s really cool man! I also built a bass guitar out of Lego too. It is like 1/2 scale so it’s not really playable. I built it completely out of Lego,(the body,the neck,frets,the headstock and tuning pegs). Just wanted to share that because legos are very cool as a guitar and extremely unique. Great job! 👍

To be honest, I was never a fan of LEGO toys but this video popped up and got my interest even tho I'm not a subscriber. I watched it to the end and gave a Like cuz I respect his dedication and I think this is an Art. Well done,Sir... This is a masterpiece and you are an artist.
Recommendation: Incorporate the lego studs into the design. For example, you could use a 4x4 round lego brick on top of a 6x6 round lego plate for the volume knob, and use a lego brick for thumb rest. Traditional pickups, set into a lego brick where the magentic poles are in the studs would also really tie into the lego theme.
I wish you would have done a layer of apoxy for the sides that now have lego holes:(( it would have made it look much cleaner But nonetheless; it's awesome! Can we get more Lego guitars with different patterns and colors?😍
That looks super sweet! The only thing I would've changed, which also is great solution for not wanting to add a lot of extra weight, is pressing and bending superthin (white) wood panels against the sides and sand it so it becomes smooth and rounded. It would also hide the wood inside, around the neck part. Then it would be def perfect!

It was pretty hard to watch you play it, but I was expecting that and glad you didn't try to hide your the inexperience with a bass. Which is appreciated to see as a viewer of your builds. 👌🏼
The piezo pickup has a great sound and I am now sort of interested in buying a bass that has one in it. I would love to see someone make a bass neck without a truss rod, but like made out of something harder than a truss rod where you could adjust it slightly, just to make sure that the strings wouldn't be buzzing from it being too curved.
Hey, a tip for the headstock, widen it out. you want to try and get the strings as straight as possible to the tuners. Otherwise the windings on the strings like to catch while tuning.
You can build guitars out of tree branches, pine cones, bamboo stems, reclaimed wood pieces or recyclable materials (ice cream sticks, plastic bottles, etc...). They would be absolutely beautiful to watch.

At the start I thought “oh my god, a burls art video without epoxy” and was extremely shocked until I saw it getting poured
