Yeah, it's directly related with the length of the strings. By decreasing the length of the strings but keeping the same spacing between frets, you change the ratio of the spacing , which makes intervals bigger and totally imprecise (and that's why the bends are bigger too). You basically have almost a whole octave divided in four frets, which normally should be 12.

Someone with your level of influence can really shine a light on the importance of shopping at local music stores and how it can impact the local scene as well as the pro’s and con’s of local stores vs online shopping. We rarely bought anything because we were just highachool students...and he didnt care. We did buy all pf our gear there, but he sold guitars worth more than a car there. We werent making him much money lol. Back in the early 90's he was demoing this mixer thing for us...could master a whole album on CD right on the unit...he was playing music and said he made it on the unit. We asked him what part was him...he says, "all of it, lead, rythm, bass, drums, effects, vocals...and being mind blown. If you were gonna do this, you should have mounted the bridge further back on the guitar. Measure the distance from the bridge to the 12th fret, then after moving the bridge back, you want your nut to be that same distance away. Then you can determine fret spacing, which would be the same as a guitar at the 12th fret.

I think the reason you can’t get sharps and the tone changes so much is because you took top frets and moved them into a bottom fret position. On a normal guitar as you get closer to the pickups the space between the frets becomes smaller and smaller. So just add more frets to sub divide the tone.

To get proper intonation you should have the frets spaced progressively shorter based on length of string. So your frets should be spaced like fret 13 onwards or something close to that
