If I was Emily, I'd be super grateful to Jessica and Bert for all they are offering. With the lack of accommodation available (and the price), a possible job that she can fit around the children with alaska apparal, and lots of support from family living nearby I'd be over the moon, but she couldn't even offer a thank you or smile looking around the flat, even if she's tired from the travel.

moragellis3040 I noticed the same thing. Not even a smile. Tired and exhausted I would have been so elated and shown so much gratitude for all the preparation and great touches. 😮 to have such a beautiful home ready.🤦‍♀️😔 I feel really sad with the NO reaction of Happiness!

Keep in mind we maybe see just a few minutes of their life on camera. How do you know she didn't cry or showed her emotions off camera? We don't know that. Maybe they wanted to keep that private and off youtube. Don't be so quick to assume how someone feels or has reacted. I have noticed Emily seems abit more shy on camera at times.

@@esthersaldana9772 and I just got agreeing with you I don't want to hurt the Summers because they're the most wonderful people but Burke kept asking her mother kept asking her do you like it and she's like she won't even say thank you or nothing nothing oh my God I would give my right arm or my leg to have such a beautiful place and they spent a ton of money

By the look on Emily's face she'll be heading back to Arizona soon... hope it was just the stress of flying, but she was not thrilled with the apartment. I'd move to a coastal fishing area in Alaska myself, not inland... but the prices are for the rich and famous. Nana was a big part of the SomersIn Alaska for a few years, your kids are going to love having her back...

After 23 years of being a full time mom, all 3 of my children moved out and Away within 6 weeks. The closest was 3 hours away and the furthest was 12 hours away. I cried everyday for 3 months, then I slowly did a redo to my house and repurposed their bedrooms…tv room, extra bedroom. So I could go into those rooms or walk through my house and be happy again

I hope your sister realizes how blessed she is to have you and Bert near by. North Pole looks like a great place to live. To answer Bert's question I would like to live in Alaska for at least one year. Just not sure where. I would like to visit different areas and then decide. I definitely would like to visit North Pole and Fairbanks.

My experience sunk deep and lastingly into my heart. I have happily returned to visit over the years. I am 76 years old now and would return to Alaska in an instant. I’m from London, UK so I’m used to the big city life, however I would love to move to somewhere remote. There’s something about the calmness and under-indulgence which is so appealing. Love your videos!

When I was 20, I moved from central NY, to northern FLA. Best decision I ever made. I do agree... try before making the leap. Good luck and best wishes to all.

My husband's family all still live in their home town, now their kids and grandkids are all in the same town, going to the same schools generation after generation. It's a big world out there, go explore it!! From talking to them, they're not too aware of different places and what they offer, just different things in life.

Absolutely! I’ve lived in The Philippines, India, Argentina and Honduras. Growing up I always wanted to move - somewhere but mostly overseas. My career ended up taking me to these countries to live/work for 11 years. I was living in the Washington, DC suburbs so yes, far different living. The developing world is very different but eye-opening and wonderful albeit all the frustrations and challenges. MST of my Facebook and IG friends are from outside the US and the friendships I’ve made are now lifelong. I’ve been stateside for 4 years and am itching to move, but it’s not likely at this point. In the past 28 years I’ve moved EIGHTEEN years. 😮 I recommend it! 👍🏻

The first few weeks are hard. But it’s amazing when you get used to it. Cooking is hard for 2. But you will love it!

I still live in the town I was born and raised in. I don't think I could ever move anywhere else but never say never. All of my family is here and I can't imagine being so far away from them.

Moved from my hometown in Southern California almost 20 years ago to Rural Missouri. I love it here. It’s a slower pace and the small town atmosphere was great for raising our kids.

I was born and raised in Central Florida. At 33, I moved to New Brunswick, Canada with my Canadian husband. I've lived here ever since. Also, I moved here in November....just thrown right into the winter weather too. I've been here ever since. It was a struggle because I didn't have any family close by.
