I'm a 71-yr old retired RN. Had cancer at age 44 & had 2 ports. The first one got infected & almost took my life. The 2nd port was fine, but after the chemo my oncologist had it removed ASAP so I didn't have any further life-threatening incidents. Praise God the cancer never came back. I'm very happy that your port has not caused you any problems, so you can make your decision without rushing or pressure. Blessings and hugs to you both from central Florida.

❤I think this is one of my favorite videos!! Calvin's news caused my voice to raise in praise. Thank you, Lord! Loved how thrilled the girls were at their gifts! I've never heard Addison talk so much and so excitedly. Avery was so happy over her toy as well. Her little feet were kicking up a storm. Guess it's time to start getting two surprises at a time, Nana. Lol! 😂 Prayers for the next test Calvin but I feel good about it. I don't think the Dr would even offer to remove the port Until all the reports were back and all was well in their experience and educated opinion. I don't think if they were even a bit suspicious they would risk you having to have another port pit in. I'm no doctor but these are my thoughts. ❤❤🙏🙏

Very glad for Calvin’s clean scan! Always so good to get them behind you. I’m a cancer survivor of 22 years. Things are very improved now with the ports. Mine was outside of my skin and my husband flushed it for me. Addison and Avery are precious little girls.

Glad you had a good report 👏🏻🙌🏻. I had Leukemia 22 years ago. I had my port took out. I didn’t want to go and get it flushed out every few months and take any chances of infection. If necessary you can have another one put in. Hopefully you never Will🙏🏻❤️

Thank you lord that all is well with Calvin. I know how it feels every time my husband has to go see the oncologist. It’s been two years as well. He still has his port but I really wish he would have it removed. Grandkids and great grand kids are such a joy.

I say this to you…..you are Blessed. Miss Marie I can relate to you and that Walmart electric cart. I can walk good, but not for distances which causes increased pain for me. Your grandchildren are precious and bring back so many memories for me. I am so happy Calvin that you received good results with the CAT. I will pray for good results with the EGD. I know the good Lord will be there with you. As far as the port, that’s debatable but wait until you get the EGD and go from there. I have provided port care as an RN, but never had one. The good news is that your CAT was normal, I know you will be fine with the EGD, God’s Blessings……..😊🎚️🙏🚘🗽👍

Good news topped off with a fun afternoon with Addison and Avery. I got such a kick when Addison saw her phone. She was so happy. They are lucky and so are you to be blessed with the time you spend together. I think God plans these things, and praying helps. Calvin, seniors are so susceptible to staff in medical settings that I would in the near future remove the port, especially if you are a good healer. I love your entire family and enjoy the girls so much. Thanks for sharing them with us. ❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼

Calvin, I have had my port for two years and was told that it can stay in indefinitely. However, since receiving chemo (I finished Jan 2023) for ovarian cancer I go for bloodwork every 3 months as well as port flush. My doesn't bother me so I am going to leave it in for awhile. The only time I get concerned is when I have my annual mammogram because I don't want it crushed in the process. I do tell the technician about it so they are careful. I prefer the blood can be drawn via the port instead of the arm. Unless I have issues I will continue to keep it while I am under medical for the next few years. It also gives me the opportunity to get together with the nurses who took care of me during my treatment period (the Lord provided well for me and I am very thankful). Happy to hear you had a good report. Praise the Lord!!!!!

@@SouthernCountryLiving The Dr . told my hubby to add cherry Kool Aid to it, but that didn't help much. Two big bottles, one the night before & the other the morning of the scan. A little more before the rest. He isn't a happy camper at test time

What a great day of celebration! Thank the Lord for Calvin's results! Addison and Avery are so cute! My Dad always carried a pocket knife and that reminded me of him always being there for us. He passed into the arms of Jesus in November, 1999 and I miss him so much.

Calvin, my now adult daughter had Leukemia when she was 4 yrs old. She also had a Port which they removed after she finished her treatment 2 yrs later. You will have to do what best for you about having it removed. Glad to hear about the good test results😊

It’s so funny to hear what temperature is cold to people in the south. In northern Indiana it would have to be in the 50’s for long sleeves and 40’s for a jacket. 😂 My husband got good news at his eye appointment, we have the other eye surgery scheduled & hopefully it will go smoothly. 🙏 So HAPPY for good results Calvin!🥰

Shopping for baby clothes made me think of Sears. Whenever I had a baby shower or birthday, I would always head to our local Sears store. They had a great selection at great prices. Yes Calvin, I had lymphoma in 2013, an 6 weeks after my remission I had my port removed. I hated that thing an mine always felt like it was twisting. So the surgery isn't long or that hard. Praise the lord on ur remission ❤!

I watched your video for crockpot cubed steak. They always turn out tough, frying them. But, I’m thawing some to make by your recipe, tomorrow. I cooked some in the crockpot a while back but didn’t keep the instructions. They were really good. I’m sure we will love these. I just subscribed to your YT page.
