Will a double room cost between $12,000 and $25,000 per week? Do you give a 20-30% flat discount because there is a liveaboard? What kind of activities are planned and what kinds of water sports and other options are offered? Is this all too early to answer? How much does a full charter cost, $50,000+ per week?

That Bering 82 swallowed up those engines like tiny breath mints. Seeing them in the engine room really shows the enormous volume of this boat.

The stress of seeing your engine hanging on a crane and having to thread it through the eye of the needle to get it in is something else. Doing it on a car is one thing, doing it on a fews times bigger scale on a boat must be so much more stressful. Bering is one amazing company, all employees work together like a well oiled machine and boy do they get the job done !! Amazing seeing the generators installed, but now the engines really make it complete. They really do look small in that massive engine room. I remember Rico working in the engine room on your old boat and it was a tight fit, no more problems like that now. And getting to see everything involved with the construction gives you great knowledge in the future as you know how everything was put together. This is a super build, so happy for both of you.

That was cool. Having to drop them through those hatches made me think of a friend of mine who bought a large class-A motorhome with 4 slides, and was so happy that it came with a really large residential side-by-side refrigerator, he told me he wanted that so if the fridge had issues he could buy a new one in any town and just swap it out. And he was a bit disappointed when I started laughing and said, Nope, you won't be just swapping it out because you have to take it back to the dealership because they have to completely remove one of the slide-outs in order to get that refrigerator out and the new one in. lol. I guess he never really thought about how narrow the entrance door was. lol.

I went to the Cummins training center a few times and one time I was down there and someone asked just how long does a Cummins engine last, the instructor said "until it swallows about 500 lbs of sand" so in marine applications..... Congratulations on the ship and that was a great engine choice.

The two 350 hp engines looks tiny in the machine room. The technical guys did a great job with the crane and chaine hoist. You would never have been able to get this close to the action at most european ship yards for safety reasons and standards, and respect for the guys putting up with nervous owners looking over their necks....LOL

Very interesting, thanks for taking us along! I would have thought the crane operator would be standing next to the engine all the time - with remote controls. That way there will be no risk for miscommunication, the operator sees directly what needs to be done.

Depends on your boss. If your boss has your back in case of problems, I'd have no issues with being filmed. I'm doing my best anyway so it makes no difference. Mistakes can happen, you have to own up to them (and that's when having a good boss comes in, he'll calm the owners and the mistake will get corrected). The owners are paying for the finished product anyway, no need to get excited.
