I build boats for a living 25 plus years so far. We build from 40 foot to 65 foot. I couldn't imagine building and the amount of time it takes to build one of these yachts. ❤

Do I take issue with the fact that there are people who can afford to have one of these yachts as their personal water craft....sure don't. Well done. Most people are only concerned with the superficiality of Yachting, and not with the work, skill, and time that goes into manufacturing a finished yacht. In your next project, you may want to elaborate further on why many owners choose to convert existing explorers, over buying new yachts (usually they have a longer range, and are more durable, particularly their hulls).

I was a marine tech for the last 55 years. Watching the new marine engine release's each year and the styles and profiles of hulls you could see and understand how and why they cost so much. The word " Boat " stands for. Bring Out Another Thousand. but in these case's it would be another million. It would be nice to own a big boat but with it comes the maintainence and all associated cost's.

I'm inclined to think that a large portion of the yacht is built elsewhere by various subcontractors. As far as I know, no shipbuilder makes their own engines.

Just before that thing went into dry dock, it looked like a horny Mad Max fantasy. Then it became a shiny toy of a tycoon with the appetite of the Very Hungry Cat. The world is going to end in a thousand ways, and this is one of them.

The engines shown are MTU"s built in Friedrichshafen Germany, not at another Heesen facility. Just a clarification
