To summarize:
Get more air into the engine and out of the engine. Make that air as cool as possible.
Adjust the fueling to match the increased air flow.
Flash in a tune that will harmonize the new conditions.
Make sure the powertrain, engine mounts, brakes are up to the task of handing the additional power.
I think for whoever just bought their gti, the best bang for your power is an ecu tune. And dsg tune if you have the dsg. The car comes alive with the ecu/dsg tune
The thing i would add is get off the stock tires. Man i just did not like the Bridgestones the car came with
Engine transmission and pendulum mounts would be a great next upgrade. I have a audi a3 8p and it made the car feel way more aggressive.

CTS dogbone works real good. I have one on my 2020 gti way less wheel hop. probably the most underrated mods for under 100$ for the MQB/Ea888.3 platform.
Engine bay is really dirty 👌🏻.

What you're referring to as clutch chatter is really gear lash, and it's because of the single mass flywheel, not the clutch.

@@Emanpix There are a lot of GTI folks who use the wrong term. I did as well. There is a thing called clutch chatter and that's not the noise you're hearing when your clutch is engaged and you're idling. I have a spec clutch and smf in my mk7 and did a lot of research on clutches before install. It's gear rattle or gear lash. Just trying to help people use the correct terms.
Snipped from ACT, they have a nice write up on it: Gear rattle is not to be confused with clutch chatter or out-of-balance vibrations; both of which are conditions mostly felt and generally, not heard. In general, gear rattle is not harmful to the transmission, but can be an annoyance to the driver.

I have a 2011 MK6 GTI anyone know what company has the best tune for these cars? There's so many options but i want no regrets.
stratified is good, thats what i have on my 2012 mk6
@@e36cuz do i need to buy a cobb access port or just the $150 tune? I see there's a bunch of options there. Asking because im pretty new to tuning.

I just bought a 2011 MK6 GTI COUPE DSG Auto last week and thankfully my old man has been tuning for 20 years. He hasn't touched one of these yet though so looking forward to what he can do. Exhaust already done intake next then tune.. I'm 46 and I love it makes me feel like a teenager again. $12500 AUD.. CHEAP THRILLS
@@brettleonard8602 you're so lucky your dad tunes i wish mine did. I got mine with a manual transmission for $7,000 it already had an intake and exhaust setup i just removed one of the mufflers and it sounds so good now im dying to get it tuned but its so expensive.
Why did u detune the gti?
I just want the light assembly with the red stripe and being halogen headlight
Got cha that I know you have to buy whole new headlight but could be wrong.
How much is your car dropped by and what suspension are you running?
I was on racelands here I’m not sure the drop I had them maxed out so I think it was 3inch!
What difference does it makes when you drop the car? I mean, is it just for the look or is there another purpose for doing it?
@@DirectionExcellence 2 weeks late but, The lower the car is the lower the centre of gravity is which makes for less body roll and thus more grip to the surface meaning you can take corners and serve at higher speeds without over/understeer or rolling over like an SUV or lifted truck/4x4
