Sooooo the real question would be. What are the MOST commen issues with this car. As a technician for GM and Honda I can mouth off the most commen issues , what to expect and at what mileage these issues commonly happen
You forget to advise on the common speaker seal leak and boot leak, both can be easily fixed re-sealing. Put water down the window on a flat surface and if water is on inside of door, get it fixed!
Absolute perfect matching first off. Secondly so many people raise these cars incorrectly. Make the rockers all wavy and bent up. Quotes from body shops are $500 or more to fix
As someone that just bought an mk7 and had the inside flood in under 24 hours when it rained overnight: the sunroof plastic can and will crack and let water into the car. Really wish this one was in the video.
The problems mine has had so far are a bad fuel injector, the ladder frame (valve cover) gasket was leaking oil, upper and lower cam covers gaskets leaking oil.
Great input - Thanks. The recording of your voice isn’t the easiest to understand- please consider dropping the repetitive music next time. That gets very annoying when trying to understand all you are saying.
So for stock or even stage 1 power some oem plus feel like a sachs stage 2 would do fantastic. Anything more going to a stage 2 e30 and beyond a southbend stage 3 clutch seems to be the most popular and best choice for the platform
2nd gear is kinda fucked in mine. Whoever had it last (pretty sure it was 1 owner) abused it, slammed it, and it does not agree with the roads where i live. I need a new 2nd gear for sure, so light tranny rebuild, to RAISE the car, a new front bumper, splitter, maybe some real carbon canards indtead of the foam ones that were on it 💀, and a new oil sensor. Not the pressure sensor, the level and heat sensor. Bottoming out smacked it. Thankfully the ebay parts i see are $30 and not the oem $300. I'm told it's an easy replacement.
Hello, good luck for your channel, from your experience, I can ask you something, I have a golf 7 2.0 tdi and my car, when it is in low rpm, feels a vibration like a tunnel or like a subwoofer, what do you think is something that I can fix? that doesn't make me feel comfortable

Water pump, water pump, water pump
You also want to look for aftermarket mods like a CTS intake. Car was most likely driven hard.

Thank you!
Really helpful info for a first-time MK7 buyer! What springs are you running? Ride height looks great; not too low. 👍🏻

@@dramchaser1022 geez... thats terrible.
Would you recommend buying then? Cause I was about to buy a 53k mileage one.
The sunroofs in the Volkswagens love to clog and leak it’s so annoying
The worst. Had the issue with my wagon right before selling it
Very informative video! thank you!
Great to hear!

Do you drive with the roof box on all the time?
I do as I have to store A lot of stuff there due to lack of space
@@DAriasi should get one and stickerbomb, then coat it. 👌
Good informative video but that music is really annoying.
What clutch do you recommend for a high mileage car or if you were to tune it?

Actually informative.
Is the VW Golf R on sale in the US?
Yes it is!

I heard never get a sun sunroof on a Volkswagen because it can be a super expensive nightmare
it's the same for every car not just volkswagen, always a risk
bros advice is “the car should be new” lol
True
I wish I could get one with like 20,000 mi with those are super expensive way overpriced
Hey dude what kinda drugs you taking you talking far to fast 😂😂
I’d be more worried about the dickhead after market air filter!
Don't buy a car with a DSG transmission! When they break it costs a fortune to have it repaired!
Tbh they aren’t really prone to failures like that. Most times it’s people not maintaining them correctly. I love it in my s3!
lol automatic
😂
The best thing to do is just dont buy one
So true
Next time fix your voice before you start recording a video… so inconsiderate
I’m the worst bro ugh
