I lost a couple of stone during the process. Not only was I doing Invisalign, at the same time I started walking 10,000 steps every day, and also left my office job, instead spending a lot of time outside. Suddenly very active. This all had just as big an effect on me as Invisalign did, and while certainly orthodontic work can change someone's face, actually I found myself looking in the mirror and seeing my teenaged self. As in 'the slim guy I used to be'.
Yeah, you just click your fingers and… Nah, it took a year, a bit of pain, a lot of hassle and a lot of willpower. But yeah, looking back it feels like a click of the fingers :)

I did indeed. Seems very quick to me - your teeth will be hurting the majority of the time that way - soon as they've settled, they're moving again. But they're the experts, not me :)

He's made a dirary about his Invisalign experience if you check his channel. To answer your question it took him about a year and he wore them day and night as you need to wear them for 20-22 hours per day :)
... Is no one else really noticing that before, he didn't have and overbite, and now he does? I believe it does make them straight. But what's the point if it also gives you an overbite?? You can clearly see the difference at 0:05 & 0:19 (Not hating, I'm just warning of the side effects)

As it says in my other Invisalign vids, I was given a choice: Have teeth taken out and have no overbite, which would take two years, or keep all my teeth, have IPR instead and have a slight overbite, and only take one year. So I went for keeping all my teeth. They're mine, after all. This is how nature wanted my teeth to look, which is fine by me. The great thing about Invisalign is that a computer shows you exactly what your teeth will look like after treatment has finished. I was very happy with the projected results, and even more happy with the real ones. Hope that helps, and don't worry, it was a fair question. Cheers :)
Thanks for the inspiration. I've been insecure about my teeth my whole life, so I never smile, which probably makes people think I'm pissed off all of the time, so I really want to do something about them. I think Invisalign might be the way to go.

@@abum7md705 That is sadly true. However, I would say I stuck religiously to the instructions and accordingly got the projected results. I know in some cases some people do it properly too and it doesn’t work out, whoch is very unfortunate. However I’m hearing a lot of people thinking it’s OK to not wear the trays for important events or even not wear them for some whole days. It has to be worn 22 hours every day or it will go wrong. Every single day. I do believe if you follow the instructions perfectly, the result should look like the clincheck simulation.
I can eat normally, and none of those foods are a problem. I don't bite really hard with my incisors but I don't want to hurt my mouth, which I think is just normal.
I still use retainers at night, every night, and I still have fixed retainer wires behind my teeth, top and bottom. I don't notice it at all. I mean to the point where I'm running my tongue over them as I type and can't feel anything odd. It's just normal. But by the end of the day, my night-time retainers do feel a little tight when I put them in because teeth literally move during the day. After 20 or so years I should imagine they'll be more used to their positions, but basically if you want your teeth to stay where they are - wherever they are - then you need retention.

This was at the end of my first run of treatment and you’re right, it’s because I didn’t have any teeth removed, only reduced in width using IPR. It would have taken 2 years and four teeth removed to have a smaller top arc. After the course of refinement the overjet was reduced. Either way, I can bite at the front and chew at the back, and everyone says I’ve got great teeth, so it’s all good 👍

But yea, with that being said, I totally understand being not confident with your smile, cause I have overbite so believe me I get it :") I'm currently binging all your invisalign diary and considering to get one! IPR is ‘interproximal reduction’ which means filing down the sides of your teeth to make them slightly narrower, so that a crowded mouth has that little bit more room to fit everything in. That allowed me to keep all my teeth instead of having extractions, but the trade-off is that my mouth is still slightly crowded, resulting in a small overjet at the top. Looks like veneers + gum lift after the invisalign
Yes it does! But it wasn’t. I only had Invisalign done, with IPR. Nothing done to gums, no veneers, no extractions, no whitening.
