Great video - I need to set it up again but I swear I got a WiiU and a Wii to play Gamecube local multiplayer games together (Kirbys Air Ride) through the Virtual Broadband Adapter in Nintendont and with a tv for each console. Really amazing how more unfolds from these consoles over the years

I have a 2TB Western Digital external hard drive with a Y splitter that is only formatted for the Wii U. I didn't know you would need a second external hard drive for the vWii. So i just ended up putting a couple of my GameCube backups on the SD card. I wasn't considering modding the vWii but then I thought what the heck, I'll do it. And I did it.
I was going to come on here and chekc out the video and offer the Mayflash device advice, and nice tro see you already covered it. I had this problewm, when I did it, I did not know. I ordered a random brand adapter and yes, you are veru right it did not work with Nintendon't. I fif not try it but some of the internet was saying the official Nintendo one would work too, but I never tested this as they were not available so only expenesive used. SO I returned and got a Mayflash adapter and it is perfect, works on Dolphion pc and works on WiiU very nicelyt. There is nothing more awesome than playinghg with real DK bongos on a WiiU!
Finally, I can play all the Pikmin games on the Wii U.

You helped me hack my wii u. I just found a way to download games with the key codes for Wii/GameCube. The game can be installed on SD card and then install on Wii u through nuspli. The game will appear and once you click on game it will find nintendont on its own without you manually going through nintendont. The two games I downloaded also let me use Wii u console to control. If youd like me to explain so you can make a video that be no worries. Be my way of saying thanks. You also don't have to set all the names to game iso for the system to accept

I have a Nintendo GameCube controller adapter but it's the one that was sold for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I also have a Nyko brand adapter that I bought because there weren't any of the official ones. I actually tried using my Nyko brand adapter with Nintendont but it didn't work. Then I tried the official brand which was successful! Speaking of GameCube games, there's also a program called Wii U VC injector which allows you to convert a Wii or GameCube game to a Virtual Console game. That is AWESOME, especially since the Wii U never had GameCube games for the Virtual Console. And with Smash 4 out, and the GameCube controller adapter, it would have been great to play other games with that controller but unfortunately it was only compatible with Smash 4

I used WiiVC injector to install some gamecube games on the WiiU homescreen in the past, but I was never satisfied with the picture output of GC Games. Does using Nintendon't directly offer some Video options for better picture quality?
There are indeed video options in Nintendont. I kept the video short to just keep it beginner friendly. But yes, you'll have the flexibility of making tweaks to your settings to maximize your GC experience.

Thank you for the video I am playing gamecube games now but now I can’t download my roms as disk file images like I used to. Can you please assist with this? I’m using the same rom websites as before but something changed where they download as 7Z files or zip files that are empty when unzipped

You can actually run them the same way as shown in this video. Files need to be in .ISO format

Okay so I’m so confused. What size SD card can I use on my WiiU? I put a 32gb cause I thought that was the max size I could run. I’m running a external 2TB HD with all my games on it, but can I run a larger SD?
Yes you can. You just have to make sure you format it to FAT32. I'm using a 64gb SD card and it works perfectly fine. Still have access to all 64gb of storage.
If you're asking of you can run games from the SD card the answer is no. You will have issues in game while trying to do so. You have to use either an external HDD or a USB flash drive (not recommended as it's know that the system can corrupt the files on a flash drive.)
@@ylb1000that is not right. I'm using a 128GB Micro SD in a SD adaptor and the games run absolutely fine.

Not sure. I know for certain the Mayflash one does. They're the same folks that make the "Dolphin Bar" for the PC that lets you use full Wiimote compatibility with the emulator. I like and trust their products.

I had the same issue, I renamed the loader file to boot and it fixed it

2TB is the max the Wii U can support externally, to my knowledge.
I've been using an external 2TB HDD on my Wii U & it works fine.

Hi I need some help I have forward your youtube video but when I put in the sd back into wii u and go into wii channel and homebrew and into nintendont and hit SD there is big writing in red WARNING sd/games/was not found. my game folder is on the sd card what am I doing wrong?
Two possibilities come to mind. One is that the folder on the root of the SD card might be named "game" rather than "games" with the S added. The other is that the files, which are named game.iso, might not have "Show File Extensions" turned on and are accidentally named game.iso.iso, which would cause them to not be recorgnized. Try turning on Show File Extensions to verify this, and if present, delete the extra .iso in the file name. Hope this helps!

Hi! Do you have a tutorial on how to get the gamecube controller to work with for example mario kart 8? I can only use the gamecube controller with smash wii u and no other games.
The only Wii U game that supports GameCube controllers through an adapter is super smash bros, it simply wasn’t made for any other game.
Nintendont will only work with an original adapter or the may flash adapter that this guy just showed you
What about Official GameCube Adapter by Nintendo? My copy of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U came with Official GameCube Adapter.
It's probably ok. I don't have that specific one to test with. I can vouch 100% for the Mayflash one though. They're the same folks that make the Dolphin Bar.

@@thanosmeme3542 Well I did get it to work with Nintendont forwarder but I’m trying to play Super Mario Sunshine and it uses the analog triggers of the GameCube controller which the gamepad and Wii controller don’t have. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a solution to this other than getting a controller

the files on the github meta.xml and icon.png. they are not downloading the links are taking me to either a text screen or just a page that says nintendont. anywhere else i can get the files needed please?
If you haven't solved this yet, what you need to do on meta and icon is open them up on a different tab, then simply right click the page and press the "save as" option for each one. This will basically download them and save them as their respective formats on your whatever folder you pick.
Not sure why these weren't just download links but whatever, just wish they gave a heads up.
Hi, i recently jailbroke my ps3 and when i was in multiman, i think i hit reboot and it just shut down, now when i try to turn it on it gives me a green light(but no beep) the controller wont connect, theres no display, and i cant turn it off without pulling the plug. Any advice?
hate to tell you but you probably bricked your console and there's almost no way to unbrick it
