Very informative video, well lit and very well photographed so I can actually see what you're doing. Much appreciated. Thank you.

I just installed mine and would like to utter a word of caution in that the screws they send are as soft as chewing gum and will strip very easily. I replaced them with a sturdier grade from Home Depot. They're size M5 .80 X 35 to save anyone the trouble.

Great fuel cap replacement; after a broken key on my 701 it was my first choice and glad I made it. Arrived in the UK within a week .

Vanasche products are spendy, but worth it. Very high quality. great workmanship and made in USA!

Absolutely. It's great to support a person making stuff for a small group of people too.Great aftermarket support, too.

I own a Husky701 2016 and I get a gas leak from the cap when I do wheelies
You think if I get one of these it'll help stop the leaks?

I guess it would be inappropriate for you to stop doing wheelies? :P This gas cap does not leak at all. It's fully sealed and you'd be relying on the breather valve by your exhaust to let fuel out if you overfill it or tip it over.

Have you had any issues of leaking with this cap? Thinking of getting one?

It bottoms out so you can spin the cap to remove it without binding on the safety cable.
    As you discovered!

@@AdamChandler86 Interesting...the camera angle must have fooled me. I have have ordered the R&G Racing Fender Eliminator for my 701 LR...hope to install it over the weekend. The Vanashe Scotts Damper Frame plate around the ignition key...is that the new and imprpved design or something you modified yourself....I had their original design, but am waiting for the version before I can finish my Scotts Damper install. I went with the slightly higher Vanashe risers....very comfortable for riding while seated....but I am reading they may contribute to a less than optimal stance while standing in the attack position...so I am thinking of switching to what you have installed.

I’m glad we’re chatting. Yep, it was the OEM but I’ve since replaced with Rottweiler about 2 weeks ago but that video is still “queued up” if you will :) If you click the 701 LR Playlist on my channel, you can watch all of the videos. They’re ‘live’ just not ‘published’ if that makes any sense? --- This is the old Vanasche or original damper BUT it’s working okay at the moment but, like you, I’m waiting for the redesign.

No complaints here. I ride a lot of dusty dirt and mud and no issues. I doubt I’ll ever need the safety line as they screw on super tight.
