Making Clear Ballistic Gel - From Start to Finish - Very Easy - Long and Boring

  • It was time to make some new home made ballistics gel so decided to show you how I make it, from begining to end, and how easy it is to do. I'm using Custom Collagen SuperClear Gelatin this time instead of Knox Gelatine. Knox has that yellow tint to it so let's see how clear this gel will actually be. This stuff is expensive...at least twice the cost of the Knox for the same amount so I'm hoping it will be just as good. I think I should have used either less water or more gelatin. I guess we'll find out.

      Wicked easy to do. This clear stuff was a bit too expensive for me but wanted to give it a try and see how it looked. I still have to pull the pellets out of it, chop it up and melt it back down again. We'll see how cloudy it gets after a few re-melts and re-molds.

    I’ve watched a few of these videos, yours seemed to dissolve much better than others I watched, cold water being the key, did you use out of the tap cold or did you chill the water first?

    • @jeffersonrosson
      @jeffersonrosson 2 роки тому

      My grandmother always dissolved things in cold water first. Cornmeal, corn starch, wheat flour, etc., precisely so as not to create these pellets when done in hot water.

    Nice. I used expired biscuit dough. And that grub screw I loosened (that I shouldn't of) made my invader a bolt action for a week or so, but I finally just banged the the stock screws that weren't screws but were push pins, and allen wrenches the hammer spring tension screw and now it catches the decant and tightened down for good the grub screw. I don't know everything. But we learn by sharing and trying. Happy Holidays. How bout if it's really true a .25 gos further then a .30 cal -951-

    • @KiJenProductions
      @KiJenProductions  2 роки тому

      I want to test that theory too...see if a .25 will penetrate further than the .30. It was one of the things I wanted to try originally when I got the .30, but the .30 was a problem out the gate. Hopefully soon though.

      The main difference between NATO and FBI calibrated gelatin is density.
      NATO gelatin is a 20 percent solution and FBI is a 10 percent solution.
      NATO ballistic gelatin must be harder because it is only used for full metal jacket (FMJ) bullets.
      FMJ, since hollow-point ammunition may not be used in the event of war.

    • @KiJenProductions

      16oz of gelatin to 1 gal of water. I think I only heated this enuf to re-melt it down a second time with the double boiler.

      @@KiJenProductions All have sinned (including you and I) against a holy and righteous God and you cannot get into heaven if you’re corrupted by sin. Jesus Christ came down to this earth and lived a sinless life to suffer and die in our place because of our sin. God poured His wrath upon Jesus instead of us so that we can be forgiven. Jesus rose from the dead. Whoever repents and puts their faith in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross, will be saved from hell. There is nothing we can do to earn our salvation because Jesus paid it all.
