Great video! I was surprised how much the .50 expanded in that first gel; I thought it would've "just" poked a 1/2" hole and gone straight through. More surprised it didn't blow clear through the whole lineup.
It all comes back to bullet type and construction. Rifle rounds, even heavy rifle rounds like .50 BMG, are somewhat unstable, being long, narrow and fast, leading to massive tumbling.
Matt really acts like he enjoys shooting that high point.
Matt isnt a fan of hi point guns but that rifle actually surprised him how much better it turned out to be contrary to his expectations. Which is why he somewhat enjoys using it. Its like when you know you got a cheap product but it feels and works way better than expected, you'd have a smile on your face too.
I mean yes hi point is an ass choice next to anyone else in about every category but Matt seems like he gets the ones that don’t mess up and jam etc. For the price plus it’s a 10mm I’m not hating on it. I bet a lotta folks wouldn’t mind something like that around the house, lotta one shot and penetrating power with low recoil out of a rifle barrel. Me personally I like my .556 s&w m&p mini ar wit the bfs III flat binary trigger, a lil mounted mini reflex red dot, magpul angled grip on a lil bottom m-lok rail, just got the single point tactical bungee sling and it’s got a 60+1 quad stack wit some back up 30 sticks. I may have sunk a lot into the lil bastard and I still got a lil more to yeet into it over time but it’s worth it because it’s made in my image and I know I’ll be able to efficiently use it god forbid that I ever have to in any way but fun at a range but I won’t hate on anyone’s options especially if it’s fitting a budget and they know theirs works

The 10mn is honestly a pretty comfy reliable rifle. For me anyway. To the best of my knowledge it's the only hipoint worth a rats ass

I think I've seen it stop a .50 with another either ceramic plate on top, or soft armor underneath. can't remember which.

@@fcsdps6593 Don't forget that there was a cinderblock and pieces of wooden boards in the middle of the vest. This helps with BFD and stopping power. Also, who knows what that round was, what speed it was, how heavy, etc.

well he does have a point in that the rifle bullets get slowed down to a point where thes dont fragment anymore. might make surgery a lot easier and thus save your life.
You forget that was a mini ak so smaller barrel equals slower round , normal barrel, more rifling and longer barrel = faster round …. The 5.56 was a decent length barrel though hence the pen through first layer

It's actually a great advert for the company - considering most body armor cannot continually stop rounds hitting the same location (or close to), yet this armor IS stopping multiple hits in one area.
Exactly what I was thinking. Sure, against most military grade rifles, you're toast. But in 99.9% of civilian encounters, you'd be very well protected.

The mini draco is shooting the 7.62x39 about 350fps (about 400ft/lbs of energy) less than a full length AK. I think there would be a dramatic difference if he shot the torsos with an AK rifle.

@@dipgrizzly25 military arms channel did a test and the mini draco with the 7 inch barrel shot the 7.62x39 at an average of 1940fps. The 16 inch barrel shot it at 2306fps.

@@tomnewsom7986 There have been SO MANY TIMES I've wished he had a phantom camera, or something similar to pick up HIGH SPEED. Recording at 30 or 60 frames per second and then just slowing it down makes it looks choppy and you miss key frames. Maybe this comment will get enough likes so Matt will know the Demolitia has spoken! 🤔😂👊🏼

Also, maybe make a versus AK and AR? But not classic: use all guns on the chassis. For AK it's 5,45, 7,62, 9 and .12 cal. For AR 5,56, Beowulf, .308 and etc. There are more calibers and guns, so needed to know the best!

It’s either a .45 LC or a 44-40. Those were the two most common calibers back then.
