This song belongs to one of the most underrated albums in the history of rock. When I was a teenager growing up in Colombia I was lucky enough a friend introduced me to it and I fell for each and every song. Long live Journey.

Steve Perry doesn't sound like this anymore. He does have some solo albums out tho.
Steve Perry has the range of a high tenor and solid alto and is considered a countertenor. He is a rare tenor altino, a rare form of countertenor, a voice that many consider incomparable.
The only countertenor I've ever heard who doesn't sound like a girl.

i flat out disagree. freddie can match him. i love steve perry but freddie has a larger vocal range. steve can go slightly higher, but freddie can almost match his highs, and far outclasses him in lows. but imo they are vocal equals.
