FYI, the herbal notes on my bottle of bonded dissipated quickly with a little air, and gave way to more dessert notes, like orange creams. Great bottle. It also destroys similar priced ryes in terms of mouthfeel and richness.. I paid 31.99 for mine. :) You should compare it in a Value Rye Blind with OF Rye, Redwood Empire Emerald Giant and a couple others. I really like the Emerald Giant, and it competes with the Jack depending on your preferences, except on mouthfeel.richness.
@@apeekintime I would agree with that as my first impression too. But my bottle of the JD bonded rye changed dramatically after a week of being opened and sipped on. It became much more dessert note heavy and less of the green/herbal/minty notes. By the time I compared it to the Emerald Giant, the EG was the typical rye spice and herb bottle, and the JD was the sweet one. But agree, the EG is much lighter. depends on individual palate and how long your JD bottle has been opened, but between the first pours and now, it's almost like a different bottle completely, atleast for me. When it comes to palate and nose, they're a tie for me, but the jd has a richer mouthfeel and texture which I prefer.
This finally hit stores in NH the last couple weeks. Picked up a bottle today for shits and giggles and I'm very much impressed. I liked it more than the 2 different single barrel ryes I had. And I liked it more than the normal bonded. And I don't usually like Rye much.
Not sure why you guys never acknowledge the difference in neck pours versus the tail end of bottles but you know more than me how much of a factor it is with bourbon.
I totally agree. I personally believe that the true flavour of a product is only achieved after drinking down to the shoulder and then revisiting it a couple of weeks later. The neck pour is just not an accurate representation of the spirit.
@@ryananderson4315 Just started getting into Bourbon recently and it's easily my favorite so far. Incredibly smooth, and it has that banana bread smell and taste I love
Same. Any time I want a good rye for a great price I grab Turkey. And honestly I take it over a lot of other more expensive ryes at this point cost aside. In my opinion it tastes how rye should taste. Not a lot of the dill or orange peel notes I get in most ryes, which is great for me, but in your face rye grain .
Crazy good for the price big fan to all bonded series except for the triple mash drinkable but probably would pickup a bonded or bonded rye variant before the triple mash...
I also want to throw out there that Traverse City Whiskey North Coast Rye and Valentine Distillery Mayor Pingree Rye are phenomenal for 35-45. Mayor Pingree is actually one of my favorite ryes of any price (that I can find)
Definitely a very good bottle at this price point. I’ll definitely buy another bottle. For some reason I’m not a fan of the bonded bourbon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Just got one this weekend $40 here in Colorado such a solid rye I love the smell and palate too. 🥃👍🏻I'm wondering if Jack Daniels will be phaseing out their regular Tennessee Rye which is 90 proof
Has anyone compared this to the travel retail limited edition JD 107 proof rye “Bold & Spicy”? That’s one of my favorite ryes and I’m really hoping this new bonded is a good replacement. 🥃
I wonder if the next JD age statement release could be instead of another higher age statement bourbon, like 13-15, is a 10 year rye. Would make some level of sense for them to add a 10 and 12 rye to their age statement lineup to go along with 10 and 12 bourbon, and then maybe in a few years we get like a 15 year bourbon
I was going to buy this rye until I noticed it was only 700ml rather than the usual 750ml. Typical large companies producing smaller products and increasing prices.
Jack Daniels is such a powerhouse. They’ve got an inventory that probably puts most whiskey producers to shame. I look forward to some more of the specialty products from Jack Daniels. They are killing it and I don’t mind old number seven every once in a while.
I was never a big Jack Daniels person myself, I actually prefer Jim Beam. Having said that, I have been getting more into some of the JD stuff as of late.
Love how JD is putting out a variety of spirits these days.
If they would just make the whole lineup easily findable, and they could, they would be number one.
I can get full liters of OF Rye in KY for $26. You can't beat that taste to value ratio
Killer band Porcupine Tree. Phenomenal drummer.
Definitely the best value for a rye. Sagamore is up that way too.

🐈🐈COOKIE🐈🐈
I mean at this point can we just put Cookie Cat on the intro and let the little dude give his tasting notes lol.
This stuff is $30 here in the Los Angeles area and one store is selling it for $16.99. Amazing value!
Was just about to say this. Local store is selling it at $27.99
$41 in CT wtf.
What store in LA?
My wife went into labor during your one of your live streams about a year and a half ago we haven't stopped watching you guys thank you for all you do

I picked up my Pipe Dream CS from work because of you guys. Haven't opened it yet though.
Love the OF 100... Looking forward to trying this. 700 ml tho...?
Brown Forman woke up their sleeping giant of Jack Daniels. Its like they were just coasting; making sub par spirits till now.
You guys are hilarious but informative at the same time. Just got this today in Honolulu for sub $40. Thank you!
That rye is by far the best of the bonded they released and I will be keeping it on hand
30.99 for 700ml and 39.99ml for a liter here in TN, it’s an A all day! Cheers fellas!
Got it for like $35 at Binny's in Illinois. I like it a lot.
I'll have to give that a try. I'm starting to see it around my area.
Not sure why you guys never acknowledge the difference in neck pours versus the tail end of bottles but you know more than me how much of a factor it is with bourbon.

That box is fire!!!! Anything JD puts out outside of no 7 is fantastic. Love the bonded bourbon, can't wait to try this
How’s the 94 proof single barrel?
@@ryananderson4315 they are pretty good. If you are going for a single barrel though the JD barrel proof single barrels are incredible!!!
@@ryananderson4315 Just started getting into Bourbon recently and it's easily my favorite so far. Incredibly smooth, and it has that banana bread smell and taste I love
Thanks all the Jeff Arnette and now Fletcher
I picked up this bottle randomly at a Hyvee this weekend. Super interesting bottle. Glad I grabbed it. I paid 34.99 in Central Illinois.
$37 here in VA. So good.
Amazing for the price. I can get for 25 bucks locally at Walmart Liquor.
Can’t wait to find this. Not available in Virginia yet, but will sell at $36.99. Seems like a value win!
This is pretty easy to find in Florida. I haven’t picked it up yet, but I obviously need to. Jack Daniel’s can’t miss lately.
This available near me for $29.99 for the 700ml and $37.99 fir the 1 liter.
Just found this this past weekend. yeah it’s fantastic. 😎🥃🔥🥃🥃 $45 here too.
How would you rank 13th Colony rye versus these two? I feel that has some complexity too for an affordable rye.
Looking forward to trying this. The SB BP Rye is fantastic. Cheers guys!
It is a great bottle, found it for 34 in Illinois
These were released on Trial in Utah, and I grabbed the bonded jack, and the triple mash, but missed the rye. I do hope it comes back, for sure.
Slip one in the back...LMAO
I reach for that Wild Turkey 101 rye as well for a value pour.

I really like the standard 90 proof JD Rye ... so I know I'm going to like this.
Fully agree!@@Cosmos_Mariner
Adding to my buy list! Random question where did you get the live edge wood shelves you have?
32.99$ in Las Vegas for 700 ml and 52$ for the lt
Redwood took a price increase, $33 at Binny's these days and still worth it.
Great review. I am very surprised you picked it over Old Forester.
Crazy good for the price big fan to all bonded series except for the triple mash drinkable but probably would pickup a bonded or bonded rye variant before the triple mash...
Their bonded bourbon has really grown on me, especially for the price. OF Rye is one of my favorites. I'll be looking for this JD now!
I also want to throw out there that Traverse City Whiskey North Coast Rye and Valentine Distillery Mayor Pingree Rye are phenomenal for 35-45. Mayor Pingree is actually one of my favorite ryes of any price (that I can find)

I bought 2 yesterday at Costco for 30 ea
So is the bonded rye better than the single barrel ryes?
Do you guys have anything from Iron Fish Distillery here in Michigan? Their Mad Angler Rye is amazing
Awesome because I love Rye Whiskey 😁 Going to have to keep a look out for this one and I'll let you know how much PA is charging for it.
Got it for $31 at Woodman's in Illinois.
For the $30 I paid it's very good! Enough going on, decent punch, great sipper!
I love watching you guys at 1 am while drinking whiskey and eating pizza.
Sounds delicious wow!
Please tell me the bottle is 750ml and not 700ml...
I got a lot of mint off the bottle I picked up. More so than I do on other ryes.
Just got one this weekend $40 here in Colorado such a solid rye I love the smell and palate too. 🥃👍🏻I'm wondering if Jack Daniels will be phaseing out their regular Tennessee Rye which is 90 proof

700ml Shinkflation?
Yeah, that crap needs to stop.
@@chrishauser5505it's only going to spread, not stop
Great bottle for a good price. It’s pretty close to OF 100 Rye.
I was going to buy this rye until I noticed it was only 700ml rather than the usual 750ml. Typical large companies producing smaller products and increasing prices.
The way their single barrel bottles look really are among the best in the biz.
Jack Daniels is such a powerhouse. They’ve got an inventory that probably puts most whiskey producers to shame. I look forward to some more of the specialty products from Jack Daniels. They are killing it and I don’t mind old number seven every once in a while.
New special release is good not phenomenal....I got choc covered banana with cinnamon toast crunch on back..good but worth only about 70 bucks imo
FINISH HIM!!!!
HERBALITY!!!
Vampire: "hopefully this isn't just pegging my microphone..." why am I not surprised he chose the word pegging?
Is it worth $30 more to get the Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye?
I feel like at this price, it's an absolute winner.
Got to buy 3 bottles for $41 👌
Not in ohio yet. Cant wait to try manhattan with it

Is that 750 or 700?
700ml
700ml or 1 liter here.
I was very disappointed. Not bold/ spicy enough for a rye
Of beats jd rye. Jd has a sourness.
Dan invented "herbality" today.
Noice
I’m slowly becoming a pretty big Jack Daniels fan. Looking forward to picking up one of these bottles reach Videos always guys.
I was never a big Jack Daniels person myself, I actually prefer Jim Beam. Having said that, I have been getting more into some of the JD stuff as of late.
First!?
Why does everyone bitch about floral/minty/earthy rye taste? Rye should taste like rye. Not taste like bourbon
