Dan goes “in theory we should be able to guess what distillery these are, because it’s either Kentucky or not. So it’s a pretty narrow pool”
Dude “Kentucky or not” could literally be anything… dude cracks me up
Dan: *Makes a Covid reference*
"You can't say that we'll get cancelled"
Dan: *Makes an redhead/Irish joke*
Never change Dan, never change.
Someone in the comment section called Brandon a leprechaun a while back that was the reference 😂
This is a great idea... Brandon needs an employee of the month picture up at Evernorth. I love this concept.
Was laughing the whole time during this taping in the background. Sean with the thats what she said 😂
Just happy to see that Sean got a video edited for Thursday after you two had such a rough week 😉🥃 Cheers
I'm from Ohio, and always felt our whiskey got slept on. Great Bourbon round these parts, delicious ryes, too. No shade to Kentucky, but each place got it's own flavors and styles they bring to the game.
@tombingus3984 what are your top 5 bottles to get from Ohio?
Depends on my budget and mood. Middle west has a great and relatively inexpensive rye. Tom Foolery's single barrel pops up in my dry bar a lot these days. Everyone here swears by this stuff, red eagle distilleries, which is good, but imho a bit expensive and a pain to get and track down, so I mostly just drink it if someone else offers, but its a great experience on the tongue.
Tons of wheated whiskeys down here as well, they're really big. I gotta be in the mood for those, but I had abottle of something that the seller claimed was Old Miami river (had issues with her later, so it may have been something else in the rare bottle) but that was a wheated whiskey thst remains in my top 5 whiskey experiences.
Don't know if that helps, but there's a lot of variety out here, and I just think the buckeye state ought to be considered with the big ehiskey states like KY, TN, and now LA (Curse you, sazerac!! *furious fist waving*)
Love the Middle West products.
Ohio products tend to have a youthful taste to them imo. I think it's a Rick house and climate thing. I've tasted delicious things from Ohio but in the end they all seem to have one thing in common, they need a little more time in the barrel.
Middlewest Pumpernickel Rye Cask Strength, Watershed Bourbon Uncut Unfiltered, High Bank Whiskey War Double Double Bourbon, Middlewest Port Finished Bourbon, Watershed 6 yr Bourbon finished in Nocino, Middlewest Wheat Whiskey Cask Strength. River Roots had so many amazing bottles but it’s an NDP. I haven’t had Tom Foolery.
Yes, it is the best - at least stuff aged between the 35th and 40th parallels. Haven’t found a decent bourbon aged in the south (or TX) yet.
Still Austin makes really great bourbon. St. Augustine in Florida. Crittenden in Mississippi. JT Meleck in Louisiana making rice whiskey. Murder Creek in Alabama. There’s some real hitters out here.
@@b1gsteve251 - I’ve tried all those except the last, which is funny because I am in AL. Ok at best, imo - most are overly young and just have a characteristic I don’t care for.
Youse guys simply make me laugh! Keep the faith! 🥃
Awesome video. Y’all need to cast the net wider next time. I’m from Wisconsin, so do some higher aged whiskey. Driftless Glen has 9 year store picks out. J. Henry Patton Road is cask strength bourbon. Put some Frey Ranch in there.
My 3 favorite budget bangers are all made in KY, partly from legacy buildings lowering the price- Old Grand-Dad 100, Early Times 100, and Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey at 90 proof. $21 to $31. I will try the new liter bottle of Green River, but my hopes are not too high for it even though it is cheap and partly uses 1885 buildings in Owensboro KY. Generally all outside of KY considered good like Still Austin are over $31. Different story if you are willing to pay $50 plus. You might find one that fits your taste better outside KY. Also after effects, especially how you feel the next morning after a reasonable amount.
I need one of those flight boards. Can I get one shipped down to TX?
Your Essence bottle is sooo good I don't know how you can pinpoint this one
Idk. I feel it’s. Anumbers thing with Kentucky and Indiana. They make so much that most of it is great. But then you have states like Texas where some are great and some are not but there is so few that it turns the tables quick
Love to see Brando in a ND leprechaun suit🍀😂
Bourbon 4 is baller
6:06 😂
Been sipping on Kentucky-Tennessee bourbon - whiskey for over 50yrs, Kentucky is THE BEST...WELL, IMHO ANYWAY 👍😉
What's the best where you are from? That's stocked in stores?
Would love to be able to get my hands on something from Evernorth. Night Stalker and Spirit Walker both sound like fantastic lines.

C. “I don’t know that one!” Dan
Literally guessed it was Wild turkey lol
Didnt miss 1130 by much!
Sean got it done in time. If my SD card didn't corrupt the thumbnail photos 7 times it would've been on time
Yeah that 10 year Overholt was not very good. 🤷🏼♂️
Where can I get the scooby doo style shirt?
Soon
@@BourbonJunkies Made my day!
neh, THE WORLD!!!!
WOO HOO
you would have to survey/ test a very, very, large number of whiskies to see if ky is superior. but the truth is it that best is subjective and depends on so many factors (mashbill, still, wood, barrel size/ treatment, rickhouse, location in rickhouse, and age to name just a few) & you just wasted 10 min of my time. 😂 thanks.
idk why you would do 2 ryes, that seems kinda odd tbh
It’s about trying to hide the non Kentucky whiskey
Kentucky was the best 10-15 years ago not anymore.
Ah so every blind is going to have their own brand in it now.
We didn't put it in there or know it was (hence it being a blind). Gotta relax a bit buddy.
Is Shawn the worst brand ambassador ever? You can skip "brand ambassador" and go right to "human" on that one Dan...
Sooo are you guys opened on Tuesdays ???😏
For you!
Kentucky is the best
