TY Matt as My Wife is Extremely Ill and is suffering from a Life threatening Disease and You made Her Happy with seeing the Parts of the World she’s not going to be able to see ( Thanks so Much )
When you mentioned colt it really made me reflect on life a little. I just learned about him a couple days ago and about what happened. I am so sorry for your loss.
Enjoying this series. Lived 5 yrs in Sitka. It's where the ceremonial transfer of sovereignty of Alaska from Russia to the USA occurred on Oct 18, 1867 (Alaska Day). Hope you got to tour the town a bit.
2 years ago I stayed in McCarthy and toured the Kennecott Mine as well! Then we trekked for 6 days through Wrangell-St. Elias. Beautiful place and the best scenic flight. I encourage everyone to take a trip there. Love your videos! I'm in flight school currently in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to get my PPL!
Amazing scenery; never get there myself probably so Thanks for Sharing !! Glaciers were awesome and the visit to the old mine was just what I would have done. You guys have such an interesting life. Enjoy it !
Almost like being there. I lived six years in Alaska but never took bush planes out to the wilderness. A lot of flights into and out of Anchorage. Two summer jobs on the North Slope oil fields flying on the company owned 727. Nothing like what you experienced. Thanks.
4:51: No, I do not need to imagine growing up with all of this, because I actually did. I have many fond memories flying with my dad in and round Anchorage, Homer, and Seldovia when I was young. It inspired me to get my pilot's license. However, after 18 years of flying, I have yet to make the trip back to the Last Frontier in my own plane. For years, I've been saying, "Maybe next year." This series is making it difficult for me to say that again. Thank you for sharing. I am also looking forward to seeing your trip to Grand Cayman, but I suppose that will be in your next "Season" (so to speak.)
You my friend are living on the edge. If you would hav e gone down in the bay, you would have fallen off the edge and lasted about 10 min. Thanks for sharing.
The river is the Copper River, great, world class salmon. The mine was the Kennecott Copper Mine. Athabaskans hunted here for decades. In the '70's, when I lived just west of there, between Chitina and Kenny Lake, it was a ghost town. Good to see life again.
I ❤️ looking at old buildings like that copper mine that closed in the 40’s. Some history in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for sharing. See ya on the next flight, Matt.🛩
Matt! I did it today! I go at the middle of April for my first flight! My G.I. bill will pay for the entire license as well!!!!! Super excited right now. Training at Lunken Airport!
Stunningly beautiful scenery, thanks for sharing, Matt. I love your channel, you are an inspiration for me! That huge copper mine complex is so neat, I think I could spend a day exploring the area!
I really enjoy your flights. The way you describe the whole trip, it makes me feel like I am with you in the plane. Thank you so much for sharing the view and the whole cockpit flight experience. Great!!!
This is some amazing views! Those sunsets and rises and the glaciers and the sky. It must be incredible to fly around like this and see all these things. Great video.
This just had to pop into my feed. A 3 year-old video, making me want to go to Alaska. My airplane is down for annual and now my cabin fever just got worse.
You explored the reduction mill for the copper mine. Look for tailings on the mountains and open pits. Those are the mines, which can be arguably more enriching to explore.
I don't want to be "that" guy but when I was training for my private the instructor would pull my throttle and ask "where are you going to land?". I know you don't always have a choice but when you're sight seeing I just couldn't think "where are you going to land?". Having said that, great video and I don't question your skills as a pilot so I would be interested in your response. Thanks and keep on flying.
Awesome video. Great photography/videography. Nice touch with the license plate at the end. Sweet reminder of your friend. Thanks for sharing your adventure in Alaska with the rest of us.
have you ever thought of building out a book of 10 destinations or something, sell it and then fly it and promote on youtube? I'd love to visit some of these places you've been!
Really Interesting Video Matt. That old mine was well worth the walk. It looked like a crazy film set. The Glacier flying was really stunning too. Thank you for posting.
Fifty years ago I flew a lot of the same places you are going to ,got lost a lot back then we didn't have much in the way of navigation equipment ,Just well used chart. saw a lot in a 46 Luscomb.
Wow!!! Spectacular vLog my friend. Very neat seeing McCarthy, AK through your lens. I used to watch the Discovery Ch. program that was filmed there. Very nice tribute 4 Colt. You the man sir!
Your videos are AWESOME, especially for someone like me - who flies 100K+ miles annually in commercial jets, but has never set foot in a Bonanza! I'm often trying to retrace your flight in FlightRadar24. I see you are a bit behind in posting your videos - it would be awesome if you could post a link to your flight in fr24 or FlightAware so we can retrace and replay it.
Its absolutly stunning what mother nature has to offer... In addition with your amazing videos it doesnt get any better, except doing the exact same thing myself... But that probably wont happen :) Keep it up;)
Beautiful scenery indeed ! But one question: no swim vest, nothing to survive in case the engine quits near the glacier ? There’s no landing possible except in the freezing water.....
Yeah, pretty casual approach to the safety of his passengers. Stupid, in fact. Survival in ice-laden water up there is about 3-5 minutes, if you get out of the plane. I hope you discuss these factors with your passengers so they have a say in these antics.
Sounded awful tired through parts of this be careful pushing yourself too hard, fatigue can hurt ya. Planning a trip in 2021 your videos are invaluable.
Awesome vide. Love the splattered bug on the wing camera. Those things are as big as birds, and there's a lot of them, all over your wind shield. So they have 'big strike' as well as bird strike in Alaska?

Why do Boomers randomly Capitalize Parts of Their text Like This?
migkillerphantom please reconsider this as his wife is suffering from most likely the new virus.
@@migkillerphantom probably because his phone is kinda crappy. And seriously man? this dude's wife is possibly on the verge of death.
@@migkillerphantom Because assholes like you with no life need something to complain about. THAT wHy He DoEs IT!!!
@@migkillerphantom this comment thread needs to lighten up. It seems like Jack might have a lot of humble wisdom that you could use.
17:12 "So, Don't run into a mountain." Always solid advice.
Granite filled clouds will get you every time.
Until you mentioned it, I had forgotten about the passing of your friend Colt, I think he would be proud of you for this Alaska/Russia trip...
That has to be one of your best VLOG's to date. Incredibly beautiful scenery.....
When you mentioned colt it really made me reflect on life a little. I just learned about him a couple days ago and about what happened. I am so sorry for your loss.
These videos of other people visiting Alaska makes me realize how lucky I am to live here.

now that was one hell of a spectacular vlog!
Almost like being there. I lived six years in Alaska but never took bush planes out to the wilderness. A lot of flights into and out of Anchorage. Two summer jobs on the North Slope oil fields flying on the company owned 727. Nothing like what you experienced. Thanks.
I see it every single day. Never gets old
Y’all out did yourselves in this one! Wow! The views! The adventuring! This is the time I wish there was something better to smash than just a 👍!

Jim Perkins sack up and do it!!!1
it's the same with anyone who wants to travel, "maybe next year". next year never comes. get off your ass and do it.
@@dave928 this year is last year's next year.
That random Bonanza with all of the bushplanes XD. Nice touch!
The scenery with the mountains, glaciers and water is absolutely spectacular!! Coming from someone who lies on the prairies!

Love the plate @ the end.
Same here!
Stunning trip. Your video editing is remarkable. Thanks for taking us along.
In the vlogs you've made of your journey to Alaska you have upped your game. Even better scenery, camera work and editing. Beautiful.
The river is the Copper River, great, world class salmon. The mine was the Kennecott Copper Mine. Athabaskans hunted here for decades. In the '70's, when I lived just west of there, between Chitina and Kenny Lake, it was a ghost town. Good to see life again.
Someone this was one of the most inspiring & incredible videos on youtube. Amazing scenery & awesome camerawork mate
Wow. Best one of the series so far. Stunning!
Wow, that was so beautiful. The rapid recession of the glacier is frightening, it's mind blowing just how big it is.
I ❤️ looking at old buildings like that copper mine that closed in the 40’s. Some history in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for sharing. See ya on the next flight, Matt.🛩
Perfect video. Watched it numerous times and never gets old. Love the music by Bonnie Grace, Call the Herd.
All of your videos are always great, but the drone footage here was really kickass!

Your best work yet. The Alaska series is my favorite
This brings new meaning to the phrase "taking the scenic route."
This just had to pop into my feed. A 3 year-old video, making me want to go to Alaska. My airplane is down for annual and now my cabin fever just got worse.
Guys, thank you very much for the video. Probably something I'll never see in my lifetime. Thank you very much.
The glaciers and sunset is just amazing
awesome video, as always, Matt. Thanks for sharing. Great cinematography.
Another awesome Trip Ladies and Gentlemen, Thank you for taking Us in that great adventure one more time. Fly safe out there.
That C-150 taildragger parked in front of you was a plane I flew when I was in Fairbanks. Glad to know it is still in Alaska!
The quality of these videos are insane! I really like the choice of music too.
That's bucket list stuff right there! Great video!
Cool to see my dads two planes in the background as you were taxing. All the footage of your adventures up here in Alaska has been awesome!
Breathtaking, absolutely breathtaking!
You explored the reduction mill for the copper mine. Look for tailings on the mountains and open pits. Those are the mines, which can be arguably more enriching to explore.
awesome video thanks again for sharing

Great shots of the glaciers and then the copper mine.
Great video with excellent editing. I love how long you hold off that nose wheel on landing!
Very cool!
this is sets a new precedent in your vlogs. flying to abandoned places. does Centralia Pennsylvania have a close airstrip?
Ive really enjoyed this series! Great editing, use of camera, music, etc. Good stuff

So at this time of the year I'd the sun set only for a few minutes up there? Beautiful.
Got seaplane rating at Lake Hood . That was a great time.
Great job man! Loved the vid and am loving this series!
The old runway at McCarthy was more my style back in the old days! Maybe 1,500 feet available if you clear the trees by ten feet!
You guys are living the life!
Hey Matt, love your videos, however please remember rules for using drones and filming in National Parks.
Awesome scenery.
Super cool awesome views!
Sounded awful tired through parts of this be careful pushing yourself too hard, fatigue can hurt ya. Planning a trip in 2021 your videos are invaluable.
It's almost midnight now, so it's a good idea to start our engine and roar out, waking everybody up. Okay.
The vlogs are spectacular
Nice drone shots!
Great video again! The scenery was beautiful! :-)
You should fly sometime to Madison! Wisconsin Aviation center has an awesome diner for breakfast and lunch, its called the Jet Room
Sitka is beautiful!
Cool stuff Matt. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry to see you overfly Yakutat. WWII hanger there and also fuel service.
another awesome video... Great Job 👍👍
Awesome vide. Love the splattered bug on the wing camera. Those things are as big as birds, and there's a lot of them, all over your wind shield. So they have 'big strike' as well as bird strike in Alaska?
That smudge on your go pro keeps making me want to clean my glasses
