I did a digital detox by accident. My husband was late paying the internet bill (perhaps subconsciously on purpose) and it got shut off. I was quite angry with him not to have online access. The house was so peaceful with no internet signals and no devices on. We instantly connected more as a family. Read way more books. It was only about 5 days. We should do this again. Go to library if one needs to do something online. I made sure to apologize and thank my husband for that peaceful week.
Great video. I just got the book Digitial Minimalism on loan and have been hanging around subreddits like /r/digitalminimalism and /r/nosurf, teetering on the edge of deciding whether to do it. I think this video is helping me to commit to that decision, thank you!
This is great Demir! I can definitely relate to having a fog like state when I am constantly on google as it becomes information overload, some of which has no relation to anything that applies to what I am doing in the moment. I love this and look forward to reading the book. Thanks for Sharing!
Wifi signals constantly on our person is not healthy. Does not promote good sleep. People literally sleep with their phone, under pillow, in bed with him/her, beside on night stand. I do not bring my phone into bedroom. It stays downstairs. Also terrible for kids upbringing to have the phone more important than the kid. Every time the phone makes a sound, mother/father looks away from child and immediately to the smartphone. Very sad.

Thats sooo true.
I am sleeping 8-9 hours and i feel tired.
Don’t sleep with or beside your phone. Turn it off. Keep it away from you. Turn off house internet to sleep. Unplug all cords near where you sleep.
Gotta say, I am watching this in 2020 and when he talked about coming up with a business deal for 2020, my heart sank just a little bit.
the way u speak is really amazing .well done sir
Thank you Lara!

Awesome, let me know if you decide to try it! I liked that I could make this challenge suit me as an individual.

I stumbled upon this video searching digital detox for infants/ children. Very relevant for adults too.
Good job, Demir! I'm going to need to do this.
Thanks Llewellyn! Let me know how you like it.
I wish I were born in the age before the internet and cell phones
Really profound one.....
Thanks Srinivas!

this seems like bs, hair exactly same every scene.... shame.
I find the phrase 'digital dementia' deeply offensive. Comparing to this terminal disease is offensive. Shame on you.
