Hey Paddy awesome video. Purchased the Suntan itinerary but did not receive any links or email regarding the download... feeling sad cause it feels like I got scammed here..
I just returned from 2.5 weeks in Thailand and followed Paddy's Thailand Trailblazer itinerary. I spent 4 days in Koh Tao at the end and skipped Koh Pha Ngan but the rest I did, and stayed in his recommended hotels too. Feedback: - Bangkok / Carlton Hotel: Solid place, I recommend a street food tour instead of Hidden Bangkok personally, but don't spend more than a couple days here - Chiang Mai / Chiang Dao / Glamping: Fine but not super worth the extra drive to the glamping spot IMO. Wish I'd gone to Doi Inthanon national park instead. The elephant Cafe doesn't let you down to them anymore so you just feed them from a platform, also not worth it. We did a sanctuary in Koh Samui instead which was much better (there are also great ones near Chiang Mai). Def do a reputable elephant sanctuary. Was easy to rent a car and drive around here! Also the QUU Hotel was a dream, highly recommended. - Phuket / Old Town / Nai Han beach: Skip IMO. Went to a night market. The beach was fine but tbh all Thai beaches are similar enough. Had bad service at the restaurant Paddy recommended so left and went to locally famous Go Benz Rice Porridge Phuket - recommended!! - Koh Phi Phi: Fine, kinda Cancun vibes. Commercial. Go here if you want that. The boat tour was the highlight but again, very commercial. Rasta bar Paddy recommends is cool, watched some 13 year olds fight in the ring lol. I don't recommend the PP Princess resort, it's quite rundown. - Railay: Cool and worth it! Looks beautiful. Better vibes than Phi Phi and Phuket. Nice little hikes / viewpoints. - Khao Sok National Park / Panvaree the Greenery: My wife loved this. I felt so-so about it. Paddy makes it sound way easier to get here than it is. We spent over $100 USD to get a private transport to the area because it's in the middle of nowhere basically. There's only one thing to do when you get there: kayak around the lake. That is IT. One night is plenty here. Bring a book to read. - Koh Samui: low point of the trip. Granted, I don't have a motorcycle license so I didn't rent a scooter. I think that makes or breaks Samui. The transportation is expensive (by Thai standards) and inconvenient. SUPER commercial here. The only thing I enjoyed was an elephant sanctuary. The jet skis are $$$ to rent so didn't do it. I think one day is plenty here. - Koh Tao: BEST ISLAND EVER!!! Omg this made our trip. We spent 4 days at Ban's Diving Resort and did a bunch of diving (wife got her cert) and had a blast. It's a tiny island and extremely walkable. Great food. Friendly. Inexpensive. Can't say enough good things about Koh Tao. Especially if you dive or are curious about it, this is a must-do. If anyone has questions lmk. Overall I'm happy w Paddy's recommendations for the most part. Just check into the ferries and transport ahead of time and have a realistic sense of how long it takes to get from A to B to C.

I went for 22 days solo in 2019. I started with 2 days in Bangkok (Wat Arun, Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and just walking around). I hired a van ride to Ayutthaya and rented an Air BNB bedroom from a nice Thai family that did not speak English, and it wasn't an issue at all. I left the 2nd night, and jumped on an all-night sleeper train to Chiang Mai. I did 2 full days in Chiang Mai exploring the night markets, hilltribe villages, Doi Suthep, and waterfalls. I then took a cheap bus ride over to Chiang Rai, where I did 2 full days. (White Temple, Blue Temple, Black House, Wat Huay Pla Kang, tea plantation, Myanmar border town, Golden Triangle, Karen Hilltribe/Longnecks, and the now famous cave where the 13 kids were trapped inside in 2018. I flew out of Chiang Rai on the third morning there, and landed in Phuket. I stayed 2 nights at Patong beach right on the ocean, checked out the insanity of Bangla Rd, Big Buddha, crazy monkeys, more temples, more beaches, insane seafood of the gods. I took a ferry to the Phi Phi Islands for 2 days which included an all day boat tour of the surrounding islands, and Maya Bay, with snorkeling, and epic sunset views. (seriously best photos I've ever taken on that boat at sunset, and from Phi Phi Don viewpoints. (like blown up and framed on my wall forever good) I took a ferry to Ao Nang where I only regrettably stayed 1 night at, but again captured a stunning sunset among my best ever, and also attended the Krabi King Cobra show. From there I went back to Phuket, and decided to just have 3 lazy days in the Nai Yang area near the airport. (much needed by this time) After all that chill time, I flew back to Bangkok to rage it the last 3 days of my trip for New Years Eve. I did 1 day in Chinatown, and the last 2 days in a 5 star hotel in one of the suites overlooking the Bangkok skyline. Oh... and those 3 days back in Phuket at the end, were spent hanging with a Thai girl I met at my hotel. She went to Bangkok with me, and we brought in the new year of 2020 while fireworks were flying off in the city at midnight. ;) Only in Thailand... Life happens there!

I went to Thailand in 1972 (before you were born Paddy). It was just after I got my medical degree. A good friend and fellow student (from Thailand) invited me to visit his family. His Father was the Chief of Police in Bangkok. At that time Thailand was a Police State (dictatorship), so he was a VERY important man. Everywhere we went we had a police escort/bodyguard. No-one would let us pay for anything. I found it very embarrassing. I would love to visit again in more normal circumstances.
@@impsireHe was refering to the old man in the original post. I was born in 1972 and can say by posting this I am joining the club. 7 plus 7 plus 7. Hahahaaaa
I was born in 1976 It was the last year that there were protests to drive the dictatorship, but around the country there was a Cold War. In the country at that time, there were many Chinese immigrants entering Thailand. In Thailand at that time, nature was very rich, in any direction one could find food. My family has a fishing boat. When the boats go out to sea, there are many antiques from under the sea, most of them from ancient Chinese junks in the Gulf of Thailand.
Love your itinerary. I had a friend visit while I was living in Chiang Mai. I had zero experience or knowledge of most other areas, so ....no recommendations for her and her husband. If I had your suggestions...might have been a better friend. Thanks for your hard work putting this together!
Hiya Paddy. *Congratulations 115K* Love this. I Love Koh Samui. All great recommendations. Hard to choose just one. Great travel itinerary. Beautiful footage. Gorgeous drone shots. Great video. Have a wonderful week, Paddy.

My recommendation is pick a few different places that interest you and stay longer than a few days. If you keep bouncing around its hard to get immersed and you spend a lot of time travelling which isnt the most fun. My next 2 week trip is Bangkok and Koh Phanang.
WOOHOO! Having watched every single episode you have put on UA-cam …this is a BANGER as a standalone Vlog. It’s especially amazing and stands out for ANYONE needing that “instant” holiday travel itinerary. Having been to most of the places you mentioned, I was sitting there going YES YES YES this! The itinerary flows so well & I can see how much work you have put into this punchy high paced Vlog (although I like sloooow travel and would much prefer a month for each of those ideas) If someone was planning this they just need to click on all the other amazing vlogs if they want even more inspiration! Went to Thailand in 2017 for two weeks. My itinerary was a bit slower. First night in Bangkok, then fly to Chang Mai for four days. Then flew to Krabi, three days in Ao Nang then across to Railay for one night. Back to Ao Nang then up to Bangkok for two nights. Worked pretty well, and I got a good taster for the country. 2 months does sound good tho, maybe one day between jobs. Nice vid

@TheCurtisdavies I actually added an overseas mobile data plan with my provider so I never had any issues with GPS. I went to Bangkok for 3 nights and wandered everywhere, and even booked in a Muay Thai fight ringside for $80. Great experience! Then booked an in-country flight to Koh Samui for 2 nights, then ferried to Koh Pha-Ngan for 1 night in a hostel(first experience with that and definitely not my thing), and a night in Koh Tao also in a hostel. Was supposed to be 2 nights but had to cut it short as the ferries do not leave until late morning. So I took a ferry to Chumphon for a night and was able to find a taxi to take me to the Panvaree in the Khao Sok National Forest. Definitely recommend. I stayed there for 2 nights and decided not to go back to Samui to fly back to Bangkok and go to Pattaya. I ended up taking a much needed 2 day rest in Surat Thani, and booked a flight back to Bangkok to fly back home. Great street food cheap, got an hour Thai massage every other day for like $8. I was exhausted from so much running around and adventures. I still want to go back to visit northern thailand and the Phi Phi Islands. Unfortunately during my time there was the hottest time of year, and Laos, northern Thailand, and Myanmar were all on fire, so there was a good amount of haze. But excellent experience and have to thank Paddy for this video and the digital itinerary suggestions for helping create an awesome adventure.

@@dennynisevic7848 12 in 1975 means I‘m 59 in 2022. Simple arithmetic. How old are you? Seven? Hahahaaaa
Thanks for your hard work putting this together!
thanks Beverly!
Hiya Paddy. *Congratulations 115K*
Love this. I Love Koh Samui. All great recommendations. Hard to choose just one.
Great travel itinerary. Beautiful footage. Gorgeous drone shots. Great video.
Have a wonderful week, Paddy.
Thanks so much!
Fantastic Paddy … Quick and easy for new travelers and been before travellers to the kingdom of Thailand 🇹🇭. Everything you have done I definitely agree you know exactly what your talking about. Im
looking forward to seeing more . Great 👍 work Mr Doyle .
Many thanks!
thanks
hey man, i’m thinking of going thailand on my own this winter for a few weeks (whilst i’m off work) can I ask, is it easy to do it alone? I always overthink of things like if I got lost when on the mo peds? or if I broke down? stuff like that plays on my nerves 😂 thank you so much for any help 🙏
@@Rose_19911 hey Thailand is one of the best countries to travel alone . You will meet so many amazing people and other traveler’s so have a wonderful trip and stay healthy.
OMG Paddy you made me dizzy running from one spot to the next, Great information. Pro tip, Just go to straight to the Trailblazer! Who needs sleep. I first went to Thailand in 2000 for a three week holiday, I ending up staying for three years. I love Thailand. Great video very enjoyable!
Thanks Thomas 💗
how does one even stay for that long?
Is it difficult to do it visa-wise?

Leaving TODAY for Thailand!!! Running all over, my son lives in CM and we are doing 2 days in CR then flying to the islands for 4 days. Hanging out in CM with him and I get there for the lantern festival !!!! ✈️ here I come!!!!
I’ll be in Thailand for a month in December, visiting south & north I’ll be using your recommendations. Thanks Paddy.
What a great idea. I wish I had your itinerary the first time I went to Thailand, it would have saved me a heap of time researching. I think all Travel Agencies should have your guides on hand👏😊
Next time!
As Thai thank you so much to Paddy for your loving my country and wellcome .
Spot on Paddy! I’m watching this from Why Not Bar in Bang Saphan on the beach. I’ve done all three types of travel and I’m here to until May you hit them all on the nail well done sir. I can personally vote for hidden Bangkok tours but if you have a little bit extra pay for the interpreter and I missed out on a bunch of information but it was still beautiful. Thank you to you and Gary and all the other wonderful UA-camrs I’m stocking you all lol. I never want to leave Thailand thank you
Thanks 🙏
this is the video I was looking for and could not find for long time!
Super thankful for such information.
we are coming to thailand over 2 weeks for a month. And we are definitely a trailblazer kind of people. will make use of these information very gladly. Continue what you are doing because you are doing great :)

Great video, Mr. Doyle. Wonderful overview. My first time in Thailand was a full month of getting lost. A few visits later after a few years, I had my own next-level adventure . . . getting married into a family of restaurant and plantation owners at a temple with monks chanting ... Instant second home(s) in paradise ... I'm a well-fed happy camper!! 55555 ... Now for some well informed adventures, thanks to you, sir. Cheers. dcb
Glad it was helpful!

I have just came back from Thailand. It was an awesome experience.
Thanks for the inspiration we are now planning 3 weeks in 2025 and i have a feeling it could change our lives !!
Wow, this is some phenomenal content, a big THANK YOU !!
I am not going to watch any more videos to decide on what to do for my 2 weeks plan. You are the best 🎉 💫 so helpful!
Paddy thx, you are inspirasjon fore me. I have my location in Koh lanta now. And i Love it. From North Norway. 5 weeks ago now, and i Will stay. Keep up Your Good Work🥰showing Thailand to all of us
You’re amazing. During the pandemic/lockdown you were my lifeline to a life I used to know, now you feel like a friend i‘m so happy to follow. Thank you for everything P.
Very informative and fun to watch. Your recommended thailand visit itineraries are impressive.
This is very helpful paddy! It’s funny, I’m going to Thailand next week and was about to do the „full Thailand tour“ in the exact way like you mentioned it, so now I’m even more convinced to the trip like this! Thank you :)

Yeees this is the video I've needed!! Going for 4 weeks in January your my favourite thailand based youtuber :)
Love this video. You recommend the two-week trip in Thailand is great!
Applause!!!

Worked pretty well, and I got a
good taster for the country. 2 months does sound good tho, maybe one day between jobs. Nice vid

@@Rose_19911 yeah I didn’t have any serious problems. Only thing I’d say is try and get in a taxi with a driver who speaks some English. Things can get tricky otherwise
LOVE THIS VIDEO PADDY!!!! We’re going to share this video with all of our friends and their children too! (Well at least the the ones fresh out of college:) Thanks for sharing this….good luck with your travels into Laos😉
We’ll done Paddy! I enjoy every sec watching your video. From time to time my colleagues from another country ask me what to do or see in Thailand and my life is too boring…get up go to work eat Pad Krapao and repeat. Now I’ll just share your video. And hope to see more from you.
I started planning my first trip to Thailand for next summer earlier this week. This is very convenient! Thank you!
I m flying Wednesday from CANADA. first time solo backpacking and travelling to ASIA. I am excited and at the same time ///I am stressed lol but I am ready for whatever ...! ready for the journey/

In Thailand, especially in the cities, i think all is easy, but in outer area, gmaps are helpful but language will be a barrier, unless you speak Thai. Are u planning on using motorbike as well?
I Visited Thailand in 2015 and 2006 and my best experiences was Ko Chang island 🏝️ and Ko Phi Phi island with combining a full day at Maya Bay (the beach movie done over there)
I can’t wait to travel to Thailand again. It is definitely one of the best places on planet earth for a relaxing vacation and awesome experience.
Another amazing video, thanks Paddy. You've given me some great ideas for my next visit in three weeks time.
We are just planing a trip in the north. Riding the Mae Hong Son loop as well as some of the Northern Monkey itinerary.
Yesssssss paddds!
Been following you since Australia and this has been such a helpful video !!
100% doing the southern one. Maybe a miss one or two of the places though so we can really nail and absorb each location fully!
Good luck!!
Fantastic presentation of Thailand and its hidden wonders🥰

Ummm....WOW!!!! Speechless information in one video! How did you do this, Paddy?! I know it's alot of work and thank you so much for your hard work! I love every second of this video. WOOOOW!!
Can't go wrong with these itineraries, Paddy! Well done. I would add that when people are relaxing in Thailand, to listen to your drone footage vlogs as a soundtrack. Your music matches so well with the surroundings, it would enhance the experience to have it on the headphones while walking on the beach or enjoying temples and mountains!
Couldn't agree more
luv your video's!!! We're coming for 6 weeks starting from the 11th of december. Looking forward to do a lot of things on your list 😋
..another good one, Paddy! ...Keep it up!

You beauty, thanks for this, exactly what I've been trying to sort out for several weeks, you've consolidated it all for me!x

2:55 Hidden Bangkok Tour
7:12 Koh Phi Phi (1hr-1.5hrs on speedboat from Phuket)
8:05 Phuket
16:16 Phuket
17:09 Koh Phi Phi
I just love you. You & your vlogs are outstanding. Much love from Canada.
I have to thank you for your itinerary suggestions. I'm halfway through my trip and about to leave Samui to head to Pha Ngan for a day during Songkran. Still have a couple of nights in Tao and Panvaree to go to before heading back to Samui to Bangkok and head to Pattaya. It's already been an incredible journey to this point!
Have fun!
@@PaddyDoyle. I was talking with your fashion designer friend about an island you described traveling to and had to walk across to see the beautiful cove with the beach. But I can't seem to find if that was the one in Phi Phi or one of the islands around Tao.
@PaddyDoyle. ah nevermind. My buddy told me it's Maya Bay. I will see it next time.

Go to Thailand for 6 weeks and stay 10 years....love that!!😊👍

perfect thailand planning trip ..simply fantastic!!
Can you do a budget-friendly version of this! Accommodation is abit on the expensive side, especially for Asia. Cool choice of places though!
you can find 10 dollar room in every village/town...even less! no problem.
