I had to laugh in part one when you left the mold expansion bulbs on the control sticks they look like old car horn bulbs and could imagine the aircraft making a "honk honk" sound everytime it shot at an enemy plane
Very nicely done. I know this has been a while back but do you remember if the machine gun shrouds came with the kit or was that a custom touch. Thanks.
Yeah I might have to get that kit sooner rather than later.. A Pearl harbor bird or a Tomahwak in 112 Squadron colours.. ;) You thin your Vallejo Primer?
I can't remember if I used to... I now use Mr color Surfacer you see lol. You'll get s much better finish with a lacquer, and it sands much nicer! I learnt that the hard way lol
@@ModellingWeekly I have been thinking about getting Mr Surfacer, primer, 1500 plus the Levelling Thinner.. And I probably will. Just have a big bottle of Vallejo and a smaller Stynylrez.. Plus a couple of Alclads. :) Not had much trouble with the first two. I let them dry/cure for a week and then they sand nicely. Just started to prime a Tamiya 1/32 P-51D with Alclad´s black.. Had i had Mr Surfacer, thinner and maybe that black, I would have used that..
Hmmmmm... nicely detailed build and really well lit, filmed and edited. But 'Russian Blue' for the undersides ?.... No matter, it's a hobby, not neuroscience, right. Best from NZ.
Ian Jackson .... What was the point in having a dig at the Colour, if it was " No Matter "...... ??? Its a great build plus he's taken time out of his busy day to post his work to show us , all for you to nit pick at what doesn't suit you. More and more folks are leaving and not posting as their enthusiasm and confidence gets trashed over crap comments that ..... " NO MATTER " ...... #Theresalwaysone #RivetcountersareusYAWN. Its a fantastic build and really helpful to. Your a very talented modeller . Hope family are well, stay safe Modelling Weekly. P.s .. sorry for moan.
I've been using a Harder & Steenbeck ultra for a while now, which is about £80 - though if you're on more of a budget you can get some perfectly nice cheaper ones!
I hope you liked the video guys! Next video will be a cool little diorama build that you guys could try out yourself!
That is such a great kit. Blows the old revell/monogram out of the water

haha! I was so close to mentioning the irony in the video :D But russian blue was the closest match to the humbrol paint!

Awesome!! What airbrush do you use and how much was it??

Thanks, what compressor
Looks great! Is it a 1/48? Your thumbnail says 1/72, but the description says 1/48?
Ah crap, screwed up the thumbnail!! I'll fix that (It is 1/48) Thanks for letting me know 🤣
Modelling Weekly No worries! I would like to get one and thought you were building the 1/48 just want to make sure! Looks like a great kit!
That's a P-40B/C Tomahawk, not a Warhawk.
It's a warhawk. The tomahawk was the name given to the aircraft by the RAF. This is a USAAF scheme.
The panel lines look like trenches. Another toy from Airfix. No reflection on you but you did say it is a good kit, I disagree.
Fair enough
