What conquered the Carpathian Basin about 1000 years ago was a union of (migrating) nations which even by then already included Europeans like Slavs who joined the Hungarians on their way towards the West. And by now the Asian trait has almost completely disappeared from the Hungarian gene pool. Their genetics composition is closest to Czech and Slovakian and has no more Asian haplogroups present than other Central/Eastern Europeans.
