Oh this is the song that Khusugtun played on Asia's Got Talent. I much prefer this version. The deep voice and the golden eagle sounds just knocks it out of the park. And this guy is the lead singer of The HU, even better!
Now that's interesting. He isn't shortening the string in the first part by pressing it against the neck; he's putting his finger on the fretboard and using the back of the knuckle to change the tone. As the hand moves down the neck, he does the compression down to the fretboard.
Since I discovered HU, I have been fascinated with this guy in particular two strings on his instrument look how much variety he gets this guy is incredible and his throat singing enjoyable!!
