the word hungary was formed from the word "hun", a asian steppes somewhat mongolian tribe, and the word "gay", to show that they have all the steppe attributes, except for the qualities (toughness, etc). Because the word hungay was too short to be confortably pronounced in hungarian, so they added an "r" between 'a' and 'y'.

Scientist gave different explanation to the similarities: - The Gypsies came from Romania, so they brought with them the old Romanian language before it was artificially changed (latinized) - at the end of the 19th century (after 1880). I don't know. These Gypsies seem to be not of Indian origin in majority. They are more similar to the population that is known today as Romanians. So the other explanation is that: - These Gypsies came from the Balkan Peninsula, from the same population which migrated north and were known in the history as Wlachs. This means that these Romanian like language speaking Gypsies and the Romanians today have common ancestors, which explains the similarities between the Gypsy and the Romanian language. - A third explanation reflects to the fact that the Gypsies in Romania were slaves until the middle of the of the 19th century, and they were sexually exploited by the Vlachs, what resulted in a mixed Gypsy-Wlach population, known later as Romanians. That explains the darker skin of the Romanians. But there is no evidence that the Gypsies who speak a kind of Romanian language in our state are the descendants of these Romanians. My opinion is that the so called Balkan Gypsies and the Vlachs have common origin, and the similarities in language between the two groups can be explained with the same ancestors. Whichever explanation you accept: the fact is that what we know today as "Romanians", are the results of a historical relationship between Gypsies and Vlachs, between Asian and Balkan populations. So the expression of "ROMAnia" is a correct name chosen for your Vlachs-Mongol-Turkish-Gypsy nation, being a mixed Asian-Balkan population.

Actually, The Hungarians have less then 10% Asiatic dna from their early ancestors. Hungarians in the modern era carry Slavo-Germanic dna and a little bit Celtic and small Latin blood. The majority Haplogroup r1a and r1b which is Western Germanic and Central Slavic. Although there is of course some Avaric/Hunnic dna but it is low now
