Ah, Dragonforce, the very definition of imagine being a Guitar Hero at the sweet age of 13 years old. This group has a special place in my heart
i rly like this comment. Ive always wondered why do i like dragonforce so much... now i know
It's because of "Guitar Hero", is why I'm a "Dragonforce" fan.
@@shojoe same
Every time I hear this song I go back to those sweet times spending hours playing that game with my siblings
Liar, everyone hate Dragonforce in Guitar Hero because they are final boss
If this song does not make you want to ride forth and overthrow an evil king, you may not have a pulse.
Litreally agreed
facts
I'm riding into battle on Puff the Magic Dragon with bong in hand. My fat white ass pulls no punches.
As it turns out, this song kicks on right after you beat an early boss and are driving your custom-built Druid Plow through the twisting hallways of his crumbling castle at breakneck speeds, looking for a way out.
hey don't be like that to the undead liches (and all that rhymes with it :D)
This song is the definition of "goes way too hard for no reason" 🤣
It just keeps getting more insane as it goes one and I love it for it.
Literally every dragonforce songs
Exactly man hahaha and that's why we love them
The official music video doesn’t even include the 2nd part of the instrumental section.
lemmy was the definition of that
I remembered Herman even said that this song is unnecessarily complicated.
Fun fact: Herman Li broke his string at the very end of the song, which is why it has that unique sound.
music went so hard that the instruments couldn’t even handle it
I’m surprised the damn things didn’t catch fire from the friction alone!!!🤯
I never knew that 💀
@@nemesis1830 the durability didn't last.
Kudos to the one who built that guitar. A normal one would be in pieces by the first half of the song
Everyone always talks about the speed of the guitar in this song (which is incredibly impressive), but I don’t usually hear much praise for the drums, which play just as strong a part in the extraordinarily hectic tempo.
Yeah the drums are my favorite part especially during a car concert.
As a drummer I have made respect for that man.
No doubt, the drumbeat is what makes this for me.
The drums are fire fr, it really brings the whole song along with the other instruments
Agree with you. Signed: a drummer
Listening to "Through The Fire & Flames" for the first time is a transcendental experience.
Yeah but first time is like what am I hearing/watching the 100th time is just...... I can't stop ....i love this with all my heart... It's really jaw dropping I heard first time when bro got this game and I said " yeah you suck at this... But what is this song it is awesome!" " is this a real song...?? Someone literally played this on a for real guitar/ drums?...the whole thing is a real song???!! Nah for real... Though? You are lying . I really can't express how much joy listening to this song gives me!!!!!
its 7 minutes of pure ecstasy
If you ever hear this song all of a sudden, you know you are about to enter a pre-boss fight montage.
People don't understand how emotional and powerful this song is. Really understand the lyrics. Its about life and living on after pain. This song makes me cry every time I listen to it.
And people say metal is Satanic....I had a feeling that what the lyrics where about but I never really looked into them properly....I just tear up when I see people enjoying or getting excited over something we love! Makes you remember the first time you heard it if that makes sense
This came out when I was in highschool. Me and my friends were in a band, so naturally we attempted to cover this. Our drummer gave up halfway 😂
His calves mustve been on fire honestly 😂
The fact that he got halfway is impressive enough xD
NO ONE EVER TALKS ABOUT THEIR DRUMMER lmao
As a drummer I can hear his anger and sadness as he gave up… braver than me though, I didn’t even try
Lols
The only thing better than experiencing this EPIC song is experiencing it with first timers. Another aced compilation, Derek. Fantastic.
I dunno dude, I think DragonForce and Guitar Hero 3 did an excellent job of introducing it to new people in a very epic way. Still ringing the high from becoming a 'guitar hero' it throws you straight into this insanity.
Herman Li is a legitimate legend. His Twitch and YT content is almost as good as his playing...and what he did for Jason Becker was just unbelievable.
I also like Stevie T's stories about his experience with Herman Li and Dragonforce.
What did he do for Jason Becker ?
@@thedicktator40 He spearheaded the auction to sell off some of Becker's more famous instruments to raise money for his ALS care...he organized podcasts with well known players so they could get their hands on the guitars and play them, thereby raising their value...he was relentless with it. He ended up helping Jason by raising over 600,000 dollars...
@@johnjohn37371that hit me right in the feels. Herman is a man amongst men!
@@johnjohn37371 damn! The coolest man in rock just got cooler.
NPC -"Sir you can't slay a dragon with a guitar..."
The End of this song
NPC - "Your loot sir..."
Speed metal is an acquired taste but you can not deny their talent. The lead singer has a beautiful voice it’s contrast with the speed of the guitars is weirdly beautiful. I’ve always been in awe of the guitarists talent, it’s even more impressive if you watch their live video that shows a camera shot from the top of the guitar. Dragon force is a truly underrated group of truly talented musicians.
They are technically Power Metal, but I do agree that they better fit the definition of speed metal better than Motörhead
9:39 Finally some love and recognition to the drummer (Dave Mackintosh btw) who was a beast in this song if not the entire album (Inhuman Rampage)
I have an old "Guitar World " magazine that claimed this was the longest transcription of a song they ever did(maybe they've done a Dream Theater song since). Everybody freaks out over their guitarists, but I fell the drummer doesn't get enough love. On their breakout album, ALL their songs are at this tempo. I can't imagine how the drummer didn't die from exhaustion during their first set. Mad props.
Dude, I'm just WAITING for a misstep on these vids but your game is fuckin TIGHT. Another excellent edit and I'm just shakin my head here at the mastery. You've got the right touch, my man. Well done, again.
The best part of this video was it looked like EVERYONE was enjoying the hell out of it. Nearly made me cry ❤
I always feel like that when I see people enjoying something that we like
I can't help but smile when I see people enjoy music like this.
I’m not a metal fan by any means and have been in love with this song since my buddy showed my in highschool. It’s incredible. Transcends genre.
I remember finishing Guitar Hero 3 at my friend's house and going to the kitchen to eat. When we heard a song starting, we hurry back and start playing what became my favorite music ever. Such an impact on my life
That was when I first heard them too, right after I beat 'boss' on Devil Went Down to Georgia, and found the song on youtube.
Was never a DragonForce fan but I do enjoy seeing the talent in this song credit where it's due
Your editing skills are becoming phenomenal. Know it takes a lot of work. Thank you for you content!!!
I hung out with Herman Li from Dragonforce, in the sound booth at a 5FDP gig in London, England. He is so humble and such a top bloke. Then, a few weeks later, at the same venue, the wonderful
Kentish Town Forum, North London, I saw Dragonforce on a double bill with Epica. Herman put me on the guest list. I framed my VIP laminate [yeah, in my 60s and still 15 at heart when it comes to metal].
Great for you, man! I hope you relive those memories every time you look at that laminate!
Love seeing people from all walks, all music tastes enjoy this music together.
Always thought this song transcends the genre. I never enjoyed metal and could even say I hated it in highschool, then one of my friends showed me this song. Genuinely got emotional. Incredible song
I’ve watched the video like 10 times. I’ve heard Through the Fire and the Flames more times than I can count but I love seeing everyone before they hear it and thinking “man y’all have no idea what is coming” lmao
The only thing more awesome than listening to Dragonforce is seeing them do it live. Seeing Herman actually WRECK a guitar with a solo is awesome.
Herman Li and Sam Totman on guitar - super talented
I love this channel. I've been playing drums for a long time and seeing people experience new music in such a positive way touches my soul.
this is another great reaction compilation, keep it up man, i'm loving these. can you please make a reaction compilation to "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, there are a bunch of great reactions to that song.
I second that
Yes! Please do one and honor THE METAL GOD
Just casually necking beers in metals most epic guitar solo. WELL PLAYED, SIR. well played
DragonForce. A sonic assault. Loved every second of the song. Prepare for a mind blowing dual guitar solo.
The wildest thing about that song is that the guy who composed every single aspect of the song EXCEPT for 2 parts of the trillion solos was the guy drinking the beer...
Sam Totman is the literal definition of a musical genius.
There is so much to appreciate about dragonforce and this song in particular. I love seeing the stunned silence as they take it all in. It's fun to see reactions from musicians in particular. I was lucky enough to introduce my husband to this song tonight- he said the technical ability reminds him of the band dream theater (who are incredibly talented as well).
You know I've never actually actively listened to this song before. Always was just a Guitar Hero song and a meme to me. So I feel like I'm experiencing this for the first time with these reactors.
Edit: also had no idea the other guitarist just stopped and drank his beer while Herman Li was doing his solo in the music video. I bust out laughing.
These reactions are great. As a metal head I have to say, I enjoy watching non metal heads be turned on to it.
I’ve been playing guitar for 20+ years and I *_STILL_* can’t play this song except the rhythm sections. lol.
Nice job!! That drummer is fire! And the guitars of course...
I appreciate the humor you put in this. Fantastic video.
Thanks for having us in this, Love Dragonforce and your channel. Keep doing what you do
Faces were quite clearly melted.
Love your compilations, I see familiar faces and new ones, and then I have a whole new batch of channels to check out, love it! Peace from Ontario!
Immaculate compilation, my guy. Keep up the good work!
Derek, you never disappoint! Another spectacular edit! I noticed you put in some new techniques! Great job!
Great edit as always. Keep'em coming as long as you feel like it I will be here watching.
Amazing editing as usual. I got something to always look forward to see. Keep doing an amazing job!
Yeah! Your editing was again on Point! As someone who liked watching reactions very much, I know at what part of the song I'd like to see their faces and you nailed it!
Again, great clip Derek. Great song choice. Keep'em coming...
Those reactions sent me back so hard, most of them are exactly how I reacted when I first heard this when I was a teenager, what an awesome compilation bro
Same. Was never a metal fan at all by I remember fondly my friend showing me this.
We feel the pain of a lifetime
Lost in a thousand days
Through the Fire and the Flame
We Carry On!
Aside from all the speed debate, it's a very good, catchy power metal song and it's a boost of energy.. it deserves all the praise
Could never pass this in Guitar Hero 🎸 😂
Used to choose this on multiplayer so I could play expert without failing at the beginning 😂
This editing is TOP NOTCH. Good job dude!
thanks for the video, please do keep them coming.. excellent editing and content !
Power metal is almost indescribable - such pure, clear vocals... surrounded by utter CHAOS on the instruments😁
your Edit rocks. Thank you man..
I'm equally impressed with their guitar playing speed as I am with the fact that they didn't get their hair caught in the strings of their ax.
Never seen it before. Enjoyed experiencing it with you. That was fun ;d
I love how by the end of your videos everyone is grooving or headbanging to the song. Rock on!
This. THIS is why I love metal.
There isn’t a single genre of music that can make you feel so goddamn powerful.
Music touches the soul, and metal rips the soul out and tells it to keep going.
Yo todavía me emocionó al oír esta canción, la conocí en el final de guitar hero 3 y desde entonces esta en mi playlist ❤
Love this channel. Love the reactions.
Do not listen to this song while driving, you end up at 150mph
It has been a long time since I have been excited to hear a pair of guitar phenoms going together. Tons of great musicians but this duo with the double solo's was awesome.
The slight vibrations of the whole picture at the more intense parts was very chefs kiss!
The best description I've heard for Dragonforce is that they're a bunch of guitar solos that want to be a band... and they make it work.
Amazing edit, again! 😍 You definitely tired of the amount wins with your vids, Derek 😂 Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷🙏🏻
Good job. As a DragonForce fan, i salute you.
The only bad thing about the video is that it cuts parts of the song to make it shorter. Gotta hear the whole song the way they meant it. When I first heard them back in the ‘00s I thought man that too fast, but it grew on me and then after seeing them live I was hooked!
fantastic. keep em coming man
loved it!Phenomenal video
Damn seeing some of those reactions from years ago again in this compilation, and channels that aren't active anymore, pulled on the heart strings.
Holy fuck thank you so much for showing the other channels names of reactors i don go out only to work n buy food stuffs, so watching shows and listening to music with others online like this for other opinions without having to leave is awesomeness
Keep em coming! I'm hooked!
Youre getting so good at editing these. The solo part made me laugh out loud. Babymetal next?
NO!
Baby metal is corporate trash.
Babymetal?That's not music.
@@samhilton4173 Hater much? Good music is good music.
@@metaldiamond So only you can say what good music is?
POV: It’s 2007 and you just purchased the new Guitar Hero video game. Fast forward a few months, you defeated Tom Morello, Slash, and The Devil himself to unlock this masterpiece as the grand finale. God, I would give anything to go back to those simpler days!
Great song, so much fun to watch these reactions. On a side note - this song was ri-goddam-diculous on Guitar Hero ...
To the creator of this super stitch, phenomenal job bro absolutely phenomenal 🤘🏻🔥💥🙏🏻💯
Nice compilation. Good work.
This was sick!🤘🏻😆 Another excellent choice, Derek! It’s reactions to extreme talent that make reactor channels so watchable. Check out Steelheart - I’ll Never Let You Go - the reactions are gold😂
I brought this album when it came out in 2005 and rocked out to this all the time. All these years later I'm watching this... I feel OLD and quietly stoked 🤟😊
I listen to this every day to get hyped!
Never been much of a power Metal guy but Dragonforce is just 🧑🍳💋
I'm waiting for the reaction video of "Into the Hellfire" by Lorna Shore. The one-take vocal playthrough is god-tier
To be honest is just a guy make pig sounds.
@@guts9160 and singing is just talking but louder and longer. and playing drums is just hitting things at patterns. and playing guitar is just pressing down on the strings while strumming at specific intervals. and surgery is just chopping people open but being careful.
@@SteamPaladin Random death metal song but with pig noised at the end thats why people like it...
@@guts9160 Fun to see how wrong you can be in a single sentence ^^
@@guts9160 lol no that would be gutalax try again lol
When I hear Through the Fire & Flames all I can hear is the memeified versions layered on top of the original.
The hold my beer moment is epic
This is just awesome
I’m a 60 yr. old grandma and have this song in my playlist. Excellent guitar 🎸 work. Amazing song.
The speed of the drummer is incredible as well
As much as I love this song the music video version does cut out what I think is the best part of the song. First off does cut a chunk on the solo off but most importantly there's a part between the solo and the final chorus that's slow but epic tha builds up the ending perfectly.
(Lyrics)
Now here we stand with their blood on our hands
We fought so hard now can we understand
I'll break the seal of this curse if I possibly can
For freedom of every man
This song still gives me chills everytime I hear it
I was so excited to watch this!!!!
Bro, I love it! I know these take a lot of time to make but you need to give us more!! Liked & Subscribed, let's go for Electric Callboy - We've got the moves
Hehe I'm really glad someone pointed out the drummer, that's the guy I remember most about the band after "wow fast guitars" because he looked so normal but was just blisteringly fast and I really like whatevr it is when they do the big loud drum thing that goes down into the bass
I love playing this on guitar. It’s fun major scale power metal🤘
Always love seeing these banger compilations. This was a really good one, will we ever get a Prince reaction comp? :D
Great pick to put together
I was wondering when someone was going to get to this band. I'm not a big follower of them. But I knew a compilation with them would be good.
The guitars , drum , singing skill is whole new level
Saw them in concert in Portland 2008….EPIC!
A new compilation!!!!!!! hell yeah, here we go
Incredible
Dragonforce's Axemen will always be GOATed in my book along with all of the band! I had a blast watching them live years ago in a METAL Music Festival here in our country! And this song blew everyone away when they played it on stage, it dissolved our drunkeness and exhaustion almost instantly we all stood up from the open grounds and ran towards the stage area!
