Time to Start Rebuilding - Mountain City, Johnson County TN - The Hillbilly Kitchen

- God is providing and miracles are happening! The rebuilding has begun from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and workers are now wanted and needed. The churches in this video are direct contacts, if you would like to go help. They especially need people with trucks and trailers to haul away debris, evocation equipment even tractors with buckets, specialty tradesman like plumbers, electricians, drywallers, HVAC tech, foundation specialists especially for mobile homes, landscapers, roofers, pavers with dump trucks....
Good affordable travel trailers are needed for emergency shelter for those who have lost their homes. Temperatures have already dropped below freezing and the Red Cross has closed the Emergency shelter. If you have one that you can get to Moutain City or one that is close enough that we can get it there even if you can't afford to donate it PLEASE contact me at hillbillyhurricane24@yahoo.com. If you want to go work you can also contact me we are going to be putting together a few work parties.
This area is poor and sparsely populated. The news isn't covering it and the politicians aren't visiting. Homes are gone, lives have been lost, churches were washed away, roads are gone and homes are cut off. Many people are still without power. There are families living in tents and the harsh mountain winter is coming. The people of Johnson County are strong determined folks, who are doing everything they can to help one another. Every farmer with a tractor was out helping. Every neighbor with a chainsaw was cutting the endless downed trees.
We and I mean all of us together are going to do what we can to help those who survived by the disaster of Hurricane Helene. You are their hope. All of the money sent to The Hillbilly Kitchen PayPal is going towards housing for survivors who have lost their homes and materials to repair damaged homes so they can be moved back into. I am not taking any fees or expenses out. We will also be organizing a few work parties. If you are interested in providing some labor please email hillbillyhurricane24@yahoo.com

I'm in the same boat as you... but I can pray and I have been praying. My daughter and her husband went up to North Carolina and did volunteer work thru Samaritans Purse for a couple of days. Thank you Becky! So encouraging! I went to Newport today to see my son for his birthday. Leaving i saw 4 military trucks loaded down with debris, haulin it off to the other side of town. So encouraging to see help come from all around. My heart was just breakin to see all the stupid social media sayin no one from the gov was gonna help. Lies. People helpin people. Its so good to see. Bible says mens hearts will grow cold from all the lawlessness. But Im just so grateful right now to see just people helpin people. GOD bless y'all. I am truly blessed just hearin it. I cry because I do not have the funds to help. I am in Waycross GA and we were without power for 10 days in my RV camper. BUT so blessed no loss of life and little damage to camper. I was blessed. I can get the awning, stabilizer/jack on one front side fixed, along with replacements of foods after my bills are paid on SS. Those are all small material things compared to what people in TN and Carolina’s lost. And I pray for all of you and for the people who lost lives and just about everything. I just wish I could drive up there and help. 😢. But bless all that can help. 🙏🙏

You might first want to check out the US Mens Academy then cintact them about some of your Mountain City and Trade projects. They may have some ofmthe skill sets, man power, etc... that you are looking for (ie rebuilding foundations); or be able to give you a referal.

As far as rebuilding all the people at BEAR independent and grindstone ministry's unfortunately say the ground up there is too contaminated to be able to rebuild on
Yes radiation, the mud sludge is contaminated. Please be careful!
We need to help yes, yes yes. Please listen to Bear Independent. He explains what they were finding and potential hazards. It seems there are poisons and stuff you need a Geiger counter to monitor what had washed into to river.
Americans taking care of Americans
I know this seems impossible But Through God, all things are possible. I have had a thought for a while. What they need is teams to go down with large saws. Recycle the wood from the fallen, trees to rebuild homes. This would be. So that there is not such An economic impact on the lumber cost And because they are working on Time.
Sensitive due to winter They can build tiny homes with small wood burning stoves . To give these people A place to live temporarily. That will be sufficient for even ones with children. On the clean up if they can SalvageAlready cut lumber From the homes that have to come Down will be A bigger plus on cutting time And Money
