The first time I saw a piggly Wiglly was in 1980. I was stationed at Fort Polk. P.W. quickly becam my "Go to" store. Its sad to see them closing down. I'll subscribe now.

Piggly Wiggly! Theres one in Warrenton, GA that we go to when we visit my granny. It was a former IGA and it got changed to PW about 6 or 7 years ago. Its super small, but I love that hometown country vibe it has!

I'm from Tennessee but I live in Iowa. One time I went back home for Thanksgiving and in Memphis it was 40° and our highs in Iowa were like in the single digits. It was nice wearing a t shirt and flip flops
I've been to piggly wiggly. I used to shop at one when I lived in Georgia. They have a brand of I used to buy there that good.
The state of Wisconsin has Piggly Wiggly grocery stores too. I went to one in Green Bay,WI during the early 2000's plus they were a sponsor during Milwaukee Brewers radio broadcasts during my time in radio. I was a DJ/board operator in Michigan's U.P. when the station I was working for was an affiliate of WTMJ 620 AM. I think Piggly Wiggly also was a sponsor for Packers football too. Anyway, the store I went to seemed very clean and had a nice selection of items to purchase. Nice video. It's a shame this one closed.

Great video, Wallie!💕Years ago when I was a little kid, they had several Piggly Wiggly grocery stores all over East Texas! I think that I remember that my grandmother used to shop at one of them. I don't remember what town it was in where she shopped! I enjoyed watching!

I remember the old Piggly Wiggly liquor store in Clearwater Florida. That is now a save a lot, but the liquor store still remains abandoned and kind of deplorable.

This is the second Piggly Wiggly store in my life. The first one I saw was in Missouri when they had that tornado in 2011. I think that store got ruined in the tornado ☹️. When I saw that one, I thought it was a restaurant because I've never heard of Piggly Wiggly until the of the day of the Joplin tornado. I hope you find peace and happiness in your life, Wallie. 🙏.

Great find I never seen any Piggly Wiggly near where I live so I guessing the location are only in the Carolina's and in other states. I never knew that Piggly Wiggly was in New York that's super far away from the other locations.

Piggly Wiggly is pretty big in Wisconsin, there are 2 stores in the area that I live in. The staff there are really nice! And they have a pretty good selection in their deli.

There's two others near by as well that have been repurposed or vacant again, one is a Roses and other was recently a KJ'S.
They have one in Gallipolis Ohio but it is still open
Your in my neck of the woods. My friend used to manage this store in Cayce. Harvest Hope food bank used this building a while. Piggly Wiggly is now almost defunct. The ones that are still around are serviced by C&S wholesale and piggly Wiggly warehouse in Summerville is closed down as well. There used to be a sports bar right next to this PW and my friend was always having to always call the police with problems with drunks linguiring around outside the store. Oh and BTW that's the best Bojangles in town to. Fastest service, hot and fresh food always. There where the Sonic drive in is at it used to be a pawn shop and the owner had a huge confederate flag hanging and was very prejudice. They tore that down to build the Sonics.

Never been to a Piggly Wiggly. When I did come across the name somewhere years ago, my first thought was that is was a made up name of a grocery store, not a real grocery store. Cool find and nice looking area. Enjoy your visit.

Marsha Brown here in Virginia we have a few Piggly Wiggly because of Food Lion is much better than Piggly Wiggly. You might find a Piggly Wiggly Baltimore Maryland or Washington DC
I lived by a butera store owned by Piggly wiggly. A decent store. Not the greatest... A former Dominick's. Funny how TN grocery stores have better produce than any Chicago area grocery stores. Also it's much cheaper
