There’s an abandoned Arby’s in my home state of Michigan, on 3021 Washtenaw Avenue, one from the mid ‘60s that had a giant cowboy hat sign in front on two poles, slightly smaller than the one in this video, abandoned around 2008. I had a nightmare of being inside it, with rats crawling around my shoes. It’s fully exposed to heavy traffic, so I won’t risk going inside.
No way! Thanks for shoutout and you're welcome on this gem. I've been through the city a lot and this was always there. Thanks Wallie, you just made my day and I hope I did the same for you on telling you about this gem.
To add: There's a few other places that I know of, but I'm trying to get a good camera myself so I can do videos like this. But again thanks on doing this video, really made my day and I hope I can find something like this again for you. Always willing to help someone!
You dont necessarily need a good camera for this type of video. You wouldn't believe how many top channels do the majority of their filming on an old iPhone. That would let you get some videos out to possibly make a little money to put toward the actual camera you want. Good luck
Wish someone would go in there and restore it, it looks very vintage back when the restaurants had character and they had their own distinctive looks. It's in bad shape but luckily it was open and you were able to explore inside.
We have one Arby's in town that still operates in one of these old buildings (barn shaped, maybe?). I remember going there as a kid in the eighties when they still had the giant hat sign. Lots of new ones have sprung up since then with more modern buildings, but I think it was the first in town.
Early to mid 80s arbys decor looks a lot like 1910 in marshfield wi before the remodel. Kinda shocked to see all the equipment left behind like the scales fryers and even the beef oven. Very cool to see. How do I know all this? I'm a GM of an arbys lol.
I remember going to Arby's for the very first time in 2006 and I've seen a few empty Arby's in the past couple of years and I wish those that have closed can reopen than to let it rot and fall apart.
This is a really cool Arby's. Too bad it was vandalized and no playground 😢. One of my Arby's in Clearfield, PA, had an outdoor playground in the 90's that I loved playing on as a child, but, it's gone now and seating is in it's place 😢.
That place clearly closed before Arby's slogan was "We have the meats" Wouldn't surprise me if it closed when their slogan was "Arby's is different" and still had the 5 for $5 deal 😂
There was an old 1980s style Arbys in Pigeon Forge Tennessee i ate at about 5 years ago. They even still had the giant neon Arbys sign out front. The inside of the restaurant looked very similar to this one. Last i was up that way it looked like they had remodeled it to the more modern style. It looked just like the one i grew up going to when i was a kid. Wish some of these fast food places could keep some of the old retro looking locations around. 😕
Epic! Looks like they close the last time and never reopened the next morning. I remembered seeing those old style Arby's around Phoenix. Now most of the old style are gone. Now they are now in more modern buildings. When I was in high school I worked at Taco Bell and the franchise that I worked for bought one of those old style Arby's and turned it into a Taco Bell. That was in the early 80s.
Years ago,and there was an old school Arby's on East 8MileRoad and Gratiot on the Detroit/Eastpointe City Limits. The old school Arby's has closed permanently years ago. The old school Arby's has been demolished and it is a vacant lot to this very day. The Arby's have never served Breakfast at the Detroit and Southeastern Michigan locations.
I lived near there as a kid. My family would eat there so times. I'm sad it closed but the whole area is run down now.my mother worked across the street. The had the big old style sign. How sad.
Arby's had breakfast for a long time. I worked at one in the late 80s, and we had breakfast. One of the big sellers was French Toast Sticks. Not sure when they stopped having breakfast though.
Wow, talk about going back time that is cool as it be can and I know it is sad to see it closed like that but that was still cool to see that kind of Arby's:)
@@ambikawolf664 What's so special about my channel? I don't have any videos of my own. Afraid of running into copyright issues and claims. So, I don't post videos. I just watch and comment.
Nice find, really cool those signs were still inside. Hopefully someone saves those signs before the building gets demolished. I have a friend that collects stuff like that and I've always enjoyed them.
Hey Wallieb26 these an old Arby’s in my town in California it turned into a different place never updated inside I’ll get you some pictures you’ll love it.
The signs were from back in the day when both Arby’s and Hardee’s used that brown, orange and yellow color scheme. Back in the days when people drove station wagons and parents smoked while the kids were in the back with no seat belts.
Old building but probably not closed down but 10 years. I worked at Arby's when I was in high school in 1987 and it was more up to date than this one. Good video
Arby's in my city of Cheyenne, WY do Breakfast. In fact, the hashbrowns are on the breakfast menu, it's (last time I checked) the only part of the day you can still get hashbrowns.
WallieB26, really enjoyed your awesome and cool abandoned Arby's! So cool seeing an old Arby's and the doors not locked! Can't wait till your next awesome abandoned video!
I TOTALLY Remember When Arby's USED TO Look Exactly Like #Bojangles & Had That 10-Gallon Cowboy🏇Hat🎩 On They're Signage! The 1st Arby's I EVER Saw As A Kid, Was in Ashville, Near Builtmore! Now We Have One in My Town!
Got to say I don't remember the last time I was in an retro Arby's like this, just freaking wow. I remember that color for the signs wow. Freaking cool brother. 😎
I recently found an arbys that looked just like that one in milton rd washington but its closed sadly but if you ever end up there i suggest to visit there
bro i want the Arbys hat from the giant sign lol wish we could have seen the signs. they looked super retro too :) this video was fun. love your explorations
Maybe you could research the property owner and ask about acquiring some of the gems inside which will end of in a landfill one day. Great exploration!!!!
This place is identical to the arbys i use to work at, it opened in 1959 just to give people an idea of how old this place is since you can imagine they were built around the same time. The location i worked at just closed a few months ago. *fun fact: theres an Original taco bell down the street
Wallie B: If you can get to Kent, Ohio you should explore the abandoned Arby's. It's an even older style Arby's than this one. It used to have the big hat sign out front, but it is gone now....
Amazing so many things were left behind and still haven't been taken or destroyed completely. Looks like they just closed shop and went home one day and never came back.
I wish I was able to restore and preserve the building. Vintage buildings like these deserve to be preserved for people to come visit.

Good thing the Retro Decade Revival Project can help with that.
Me and friends snuck in there last night through another window the window he went through is now boarded up
This place should be turned into an Arby's museum. What a blast from the past.
I completely agree.
Me and friends went in there last night its so vintage in there I remember getting food from there when it was still open a long time ago
I totally agree 2.
Wow! That is frozen in time! Awesome find!

Arby’s needs to expand again, I live in Oswego Ny we used to have one.
Yes! I know where exactly it is and it’s been closed since around 2013! What a beauty of nostalgia and just straight up awesome! Great video Wallie 👊
where is it at i would like to go see it my self

Arby’s did serve breakfast in the early 90s. It’s too bad they didn’t have one of those signs that was shaped like their hat.
You are on a roll with getting into places.
I do love Arby’s and I miss the old school designs buildings Thank you for sharing this video.
Definitely old school 🏫 just by looking at the signage and the way the sign is painted
Thanks 👍 Wallieb26 have a awesome 💯 night

Fun fact that arbys was a hardees before arbys!
By the looks of the light bulb in that one light it was a cone light which was early 2000s so sometime then I’m sure
Looking more like 70s signage and the lobby could've very well been as well.havent seen that kind of building in decades.😮

In oxbow Oregon/Idaho there is a abandoned little school I reckon was abandoned before I was born. And I was born in February of 2003
