My main gripe with HDtracks is that you can only download your purchase one time, so once downloaded you have to make copies and store them on different devices in case your hard disk breaks. What is the point of allowing only one time download when the files aren't copy protected any way?

the 128kbps aac song files that apple used to sell on itunes were m4p files

Wow in 1998 an mp3 song at 64kbps or 96kbps on a dial up connection would take up to 20 minutes to download but it was fun. Then DSL came along in late '90s and with it Napster... Then iTunes with 128kbps aac which sucked bc you could only play it in an authorized computer. Then we got 256kbps aac without DRM, and Amazon MP3's and Google music too at 320kbps. I bought a lot of albums from them when they had great deals of $5 albums, some were special editions. Then some really special albums get the treatment of HDTracks.. now this is the real thing... The least quality you get from them is full CD quality... 16-bit and 44.1 kHz. At least 800 to 1100 kbps. But then some very special albums get the treatment of 192kHz/24 bit I've seen 2500kbps and higher. One song it's the size of a whole mp3 album at 320kbps... people say how can tell the diffrence if you don't have thousands worth of equipment. My simple answer is, I don't have thousnads worth of equipment, but I love whole milk, i grew up with warm milk just out from the cow, and I can tell the difference between whole milk and skim milk, basically water with a little milk in it.

Oh yes that reminds me. The file settings thing. Did you do that in the managor? Or on the site itself?

When you buy stuff, do you have to messs with the downloader at all every time? Meaning it loads a page and do I have to interact with it every single time or only 1 time to choose format location and so on? I only ask cause I'm blind and it didn't seem too accessible.
