I really appreciate you guys you're awesome since starting washing you about six or so months ago I bought the P-51 Mustang and the F-18 Hornet new to flying it's awesome found out at 54 years out not really good at climbing trees only happened once for the F18 now I fly at the veterans cemetery in Exeter Rhode Island just ordered the Finland boat the FT012 boat can't wait to play with that as well keep flying hi guys I recommend you to everyone I talked with how about RC

my kid is basically a beginner...he's12 years old and he had this plane a couple weeks and now he's flying it around the whole field in a knife edge and whatnot... learning so much with it...

I usually dont give suggs but check out the Eflite Pitts 850mm, I have about 12 planes, and it is, by far the most outstanding plane I have ever flown....and it's on sale right now...whoop whoop!

Abby!!!! You got this, girl! We're cheering for you every time you fly. Nate, how great a bargain is this at its selling price? This one seems to want to be inverted. I'm surprised I don't have one. The Clipped Wing Cub is somewhat comparable with a bit faster roll rate and maybe a tiny bit more punch, but no flaps to slow down as well as the Valiant.

Finally a couple of calm days here in OKC too, so I went through two batteries each day in the Carbon Cub S+. I’m still learning and have a ways to go!

I really love that plane. Beautiful design, nice colors and a very well rounded plane it appears. I normally don't like top wing aircraft, but that one is very well done. Abbey, I would be afraid to fly as high and far as you do for fear of losing orientation. You should teach a class on it here because I don't understand how you can tell what direction it's going in sometimes. 😉
Nice flying, both of you. Just to be clear about the spiral dive, left stick = down & left, right stick = up & right. So that means; zero throttle, left rudder, down elevator, & ailerons spinning the plane clockwise. Have I got that correct? Thanks Saylors.

One question, is safe mode a common feature on Remotes or only on the DX that your using on this video? Also, do you have a video on how to do tricks? Roll over, knife etc.... I must say to you politely. That this is old news. But you and Abbey sold me on the Drocon Bugs #3 or the MJX bugs 3, or the force 1 bugs 3. You are so right. If you really want to fly a drone . 2019 RC Airplane Awards:
Best beginner plane: Hobby Zone Aeroscout S 1.1
Best second plane: E-Flite Valiant 1.3
Best third plane (skill wise): E-Flite P51 D Mustang (or any of the other 1.2 electric warbirds.)
So far i have done the Aeroscout and am ordering a Valiant and DX8 for Xmas for myself! The goal is to try to P51 next after Valiant.

I'm a noob.. the battery you posted is a 9.9v but on the horizon hobby site they recommend an 11.1v. Does it matter? Also, can i use a 3200mah instead of 2200 on this plane? And can I connect batteries that are EC3 on here? Thanks so much.
Hi Nate and Abby, I enjoy your videos and have a technical question.....can I fly in a public model flying field without any affiliation with the AMA or a club? I live in Brooklyn NY and the park department inspectors said I could use the public field when the club members were not there. The club members said I need to be a AMA member to fly in the public field. What's your opinion on the matter.

To be honest, I dont own the Turbo Timber but I have seen it fly. It looks great! I can say this for a fact though: if you owned the Turbo Timber, I would strongly advice that you still buy the Valiant 😉 It is THAT good of a plane! So versatile!! Not really harder, but different yes. Sort of hard to explain, but USUALLY when the wing is on top like this they are more stable 👍⚓😎

Hey guys greay video. Off topic but i coukd use some help. Im in yhe market for my daughter this xmas.. i have the senton blx short course which i love. 50mph out of box is awsome. I want for her something comparable to the senton 2 or 4wd dont matter. And 1/10 scale. I thougjt a ways back you guys should one that was similar but right around the $130 range is there something you could recommend to me having it be ready for lipo would be nice to. 2 or 3s lipos. Any idea i would very much appreciate. Thank you

Hey guys, I just got a couple of the ZOP batteries I've been using for my JLB J3 speed, is it common for soft packed lipo to swell a bit under use?.. I've only had hard packs until now.
Hey Dog, just curious.. through the 7 years weve been doing this, weve never recommended those batteries, so why did you buy them???
Mainly because they had been reccomended to me and they match the capacity and discharge of the J3's stock pack, but also because they were relatively cheap.. never had soft packs before. So just thought I'd ask if there are any things I should take extra care over
If Abby is going to fly higher you have to buy a P-1000 with 100x zoom. ;)
Buy the Timber wheel/tire set, and throw it on the Valiant. Transforms the plane into a very good bush plane.

Abby, you should really try Realflight 9 sim. You can download the Valiant (which I made) for free and It has "safe" also. If you crash it in the sim,no big deal. I don't work for them, just like to model. I really like your videos. BTW

Love this review and I love my Valliant! I could not agree more that this is a perfect intermediate plane, I went from UMX timber and Waco to this and the power and weight is so cool.
I had my club president set mine up for tame flying, he is in his late 70's but R is hounding me to go back to original settings. After seeing what can be done from this video, I agree!

Its a great plane, I have it also. There are several video's here of the Valiant just losing its motor. Seems the glue that holds the firewall in is not that good, it will come lose, especially the way Nate is throwing it around. Take the cowel off and Foamtak the firewall in, just to be safe.
