I hope it is fantastic because the Aeroscout minis were such a disappointment... (the remotes were the worst part of this mini planes) I hope I can get one of these someday.
I'm an oldschool RC'er ..started in the 70's...just this year decided to get back into it...with all the new digital radios...I am finding all your vids not only USEFUL..but fun to watch...cya in the air!
This aircraft can take multiple hits from a 50 caliber machine gun, as long as the servos in battery compartment or not hit it stays in the air…. I fly these for the United States Army and let soldiers shoot at them for practice with the avenger weapon system M3P 50 CAL. I’ll be honest I didn’t think it was going to stand one hit but I have an aircraft in my office with four bullet holes in it currently, not patched up and she flies great.
I bought an AeroScout RTF after watching your videos. Got familiar with the plane in Real Flight. Went out to the beach and found a dry salt flat and just did my first two flights as a total beginner in full nanny mode. Had a great time! Thanks for all your information.
I got one about 4-5 months ago and I bought it from y'all's link The one thing I don't like about it is it takes a second for the motor to spoll up but that can be fixed by programing the ESC The one thing you guys don't point out is the RTF has telemetry Love my AeroScout It is definitely a great beginner plane and as you progress it is very capable of pulling off some cool tricks I would suggest it to anybody wanting to get into the hobby and for $200 for the RTF version you can't beat it Nice flying Abby 🔥👍✌️
I've been flying my AeroScout for 3 months now and it is amazingly good. This video sold me on the plane and I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. And I too thought it was bit on the ugly side until I flew it. Now it's a thing of beauty.
I never flew an RC plane before. I took the advice and bought the Realflight trainer software, I am glad I did, I crash landed so many times in the computer until I got the hang of it. By the time I took my first flight with the Aeroscout S2, I felt comfortable. I must say it is easy to fly, I flew it for several minutes in a city park(with safe mode on), but there were so many trees and close by power lines bordering the park I was very nervous I did several laps and landed with crosswind barely missing a restroom building. I really enjoyed it. I have to find a field to fly over so I can freely fly. Thank you for sharing, your video inspired me to fly, now I have a new hobby!!
I really, really, wish I had seen this video before I bought my first plane. I think my first few flights would've gone much better. Thanks for all your videos.
The Aeroscout is not only an AWESOME trainer, it is capable of some fun aerobatics manuevers once you are confident with it. I learned to fly at 70 and am having a blast with it. Despite some major crashes ( easily repaired with the hot glue gun) I still have the original motor and prop, thanks to the 'pusher' design. The Aeroscout has the most controllable stall I've ever seen, it mushes a bit then recovers with ease with a little power. Love, love, love this plane! Thanks for the great video review!
@@christalcott1832 with the 3s 2200 you get 5-10 minutes with heavy throttle. Light on the throttle you can get over 20 minutes. I don’t know the exact glide ratio but I think it’s decent for a trainer.
this video is perfect. im trying help a buddy into rc flying. im told him to watch this . cause this is what he needs something that wont turn into a lawn dart thanks for the great vid
You Guys! your channel just keeps getting better... way to go.. I'm going to purchase one of these and using your link..... also I love the drone footage or your flying Its a much nicer view.
From watching your past videos on the AeroScout S 2, I ordered the RTF kit 2 nights ago ! 3 years ago I tried flying a Zohd Orbit, gave up, bought a Champ and could not get the hang of it. Bought a few kit planes, never assemble them. Bought a Sky-King 1 or 2 years ago and flew it 3 days ago for the first time. I keep crashing by constantly going up/down, up/down. So I am confident that with the AeroScout I can finally learn to fly !!! :-). Since November I've been flying fpv and getting somewhat good at it. I do not know what it looks like flying since I always have the goggles on and not good at flying LOS. This plane is going to be awesome ! Thank you guys and I recently became a patreon :-)
I recently got into the hobby and crashed 2 different planes. One was the Sport Cub S2 which was damaged beyond repair. The other was my Carbon Cus S2 which was a bit scuffed but otherwise ok. It was pretty discouraging. I discovered your channel not long ago and you both have encouraged me greatly. Watching this video made me decide to start again but with this plane. The carbon cub will wait until I am better. Keep up the great work. I’ve become a fan.
If you haven't already, check out Flite Test. They are great guys who are extremely passionate about rc planes and specifically getting new people flying. They have a 13 or 14 part series for beginners that I learned a lot from. Good luck with your new plane.
Great plane!! I learned on the E- Flight Apprentice STS which basicly has the same functions and modes. I am now into jets. I'm am 65 years old and feel like a kid again. Love the hobby. You guys are great
You guys are absolutely right. This is a great plane to practice...even if you're more advanced. Great also to just hand the controls over to a friend or observer cause it is easy to recover.
got this as my first - too big and powerful and crashed it badly - switched to warbirds and Cub Scout which I recommend for beginners - after much confidence building I came back to the Aero Scout and repaired it with much special glue and some duct tape and got it safely into the sky - love it - the dxs transmitter that comes with it is very solid and I have been able to fly umx planes best of which is the conscendo 👊
I’ve had an aero scout for about 4 months now with lots of hours flying. It’s my first plane and I couldn’t recommend it more! It will help you learn and progress! I do all kinds of acrobats!
I picked up an aeroscout on your recommendation and am delighted at how well it handles fairly high winds... wind that would blow my champ into the next county.. thanks!
Nice job guys! Keep going back and forth between the AeroScout and the Carbon Cub S 2 as the pick for my next plane. I'm flying both the Sport Cub S 2 and UMX Turbo Timber. I'm ready to step it up a few notches and treat myself to a new plane for my 77 BD coming up in August. I see pros and cons for both models.
With this and the Viper they're calling them S2 but it's not easy for a newbie like me to know exactly what the changes are. If you could run those down that would be a huge help!
I also want to say I love your channel hands down the best RC channel on UA-cam! Because of this channel I bought the aeroscout and was able to fly it very well! I had a bad first experience with my first rc plane that was before I found this channel. My ignorance because I thought that I could just hop in to a 64mm A10 warthog and fly with easy because I'm experienced in all types of drones and thinking that I nose dived into the concrete within 30sec. So I gave up flying until I found this channel which made me decide to get the aeroscout! I love it helped me understand fixed wing flying, thank you #rcsaylors keep up the awesome vidz!!!!!
I bought a Conscendo, after watching your video. I bought an Arrow's Husky SE with the 4S after watching your video. I pretty much ruined the Conscendo about a month ago and decided to get a plane to really learn on. So, I bought the AerosScout S2 and use my transmitter with it.. I've had 27 take offs and landings with no damage and I enjoy the plane. My 10 year old grandson is very good at gaming and I let him fly it on the Real Flight 9.5 simulator, and he did very well. So we're going to do the AeroScout together at the airfield before too long. I really like your channel and I like all of your videos and all of the information you share. Thank you very much for all you guys do. It's almost like you guys are 1st responders for beginner RC pilots. Thanks.
Nice video well put together. Good to see you again a be glad you're doing well and flying again. Loving the great days lately looking forward to more videos.
This was the greatest 'Abby Special' ever! Oh man what a fun video guys. You two do it the best. I had to laugh- Nate screwed with Abby the whole way down- then declared her the jerk! And Abby? Didn't deny it- just laughed. Then declared "you can tell we're married". Guys, that makes for a very very fun and entertaining vid. And you keep them informative for us. Always. Abby, your flying is different in this video. You seemed exceptionally relaxed and were flying 'free form' as opposed to doing 'beginner circles'. Nice flying, BOTH of you guys! Be well :)
This is a fantastic video. I'm so jealous of your flying field , having a place like that to fly would make it much easier for me to learn and progress in the hobby. Thanks so much for all you efforts to promote the rc hobby. Abby, great job.
Great plane I like mine thanks you guys I got mine back in the springtime I just got my AMA license. I have mine because I seen you guys's video before springtime and I bought an aero scout Now I have 9 planes I also bought the nx8 radio love it I also purchased a couple of AR 631s. You guys have a good weekend to come!!
Just got mine yesterday in rtf, though binded it with my Nx8 ( bnf was sold out ) my 7th. plane, but needed it to practice in int. And exp. Mode 🤓👌🏻 Love your channel, it got me into flying late last year. Thank you for reaching Denmark (hope my english could be understood 😂)
Love the new channel....... "Abbey's Aviation" (also featuring 'interference ' fron Nate)! Great job guys. You make me smile. Keep the great content coming! : )
I am disabled And had no trouble with this plane. Until I hit a car at full speed. Lol. Big dent in door plane in pieces. Sad day. Got a night vapor now. Love it. Getting a Habu for Christmas. Love your videos.
I actually enjoy and get a lot of info from your video's. I was excited when your wife was going to have a video showing an rc she really liked but for whatever reason you can't seem to just let her make a video without talking throughout it. I'm not sure why this is because you have tons of videos with you talking 95%of the entire video. I believe you have honest truthful reviews and that's why I'll continue to subscribe and recommend your channel. You're both human beings and we make mistakes I love that you show when you do have mistakes and possibly why it happened. Showing how you fixed the mistakes is a great idea as us viewers have probably encountered the same problem as well. Watching as you both have become better and better has been quite fun. NATE you are a great Pilot sometimes you don't trust yourself.. YOU SHOULD! Thank you for the years of hard work I look forward to watching more of your great videos. Ps maybe let Abby be in a few more of them if she actually wants too!
Absolutely agree. I think my talking over Abby at times is due to two things. First is simply force of habit. Secondly, Abby asks me to be ready to talk if she feels there is too much silence. While she does love the hobby just as much as I do, I simply have that gift of gab as they say, lol.. 😂 Abby is actually leading our boat week this week and killing it! 👍😁😎⚓️
2 of my Favorite “Jerks”😜 Really love your videos. Got back into the hobby hard n fast over the last year and hoping I can get my wife interested also so I just took your advice and bought my wife a Aeroscout. Got it set up and ready to go so here’s hoping.👌 ABBY KEEP FLYING NATE KEEP TALKIN AMAZING TEAM! DONT WORRY ANOUT WHAT PPL SAY. KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING. LOVE IT! Might post a video if it doesn’t go tooo horribly. She may even call me a jerk. That’s how you know someone really loves you.😜
I got my wife to solo on one of these. She flies the umx Ultrix in SAFE mode without any second thought but was very nervous to fly an actual airplane. We got one of these and I flew it first and trimmed it for level flight at half throttle. When I was showing her how to set up on approach to land, I cut the throttle at 75ft altitude on final approach. I held the radio out, hands off the sticks, and it practically landed itself except I added a tiny bit of flare right at touchdown. It only took 2 or three more flights for her get the confidence to solo.
Great job Amy You convinced me I am going to order the AeroScout plane right now. Unfortunately I have a $100.00 gift card from Amazon so I can't order it from your website. Amy I am a beginner and I just wanted to say your style gives me a lot of confidence
After watching this several times (Aeroscout) with you guys then Gary, I started liking this look more. Believe it or not I STILL haven't maidened my Mini Apprentice yet! But I think for another bigger plane, this would be the one.
Great informative video, I rejoined AMA too, plane looks like great pusher prop type with room to advance skills. AMA requires full line of sight too, they are really responsive to questions,
Cool plane, maybe If I get back into rc I’ll definitely get this plane if I want to fly. I like it’s features especially from beginning to advanced and that panic button is a awesome idea. Nice to see you flying planes Abby!, hoping will see Abby fly more too. You both are very awesome people. Thank you for sharing
Great video Abby. You didn't say what the top right switch was used for? Also, does the RTF model come already set in SAFE, or do you need to bind it.. (subscribed)
Hello, Abby, I'm staying in France and I'm going to buy this plane, because I'm a beginner. I subscribe to your channel. Your videos are superb. Thank you.
Love the videos where Abby takes the lead! Great facts and detail. It is a true hobby grade analysis 🥰. It's not a video where you transferred parts/receiver wrong and claimed two messed up boats.
I love this plane as a beginner also. You need to stick up on fuselages and servos. One half way bad landing and the front wheel/rudder servo is stripped. Better yet, take the wheels off it and hand launch. Replace the servos with emax metal gears and it will last longer. The body will crack so buy some good glue. Great plane to fly aerobatic too, and cheap!!
Good job! BTW-took the TRUST test for FAA certification through the AMA. Scored 100% the first try (it's easy and required by the FAA to stay legal). I highly recommend the RC Saylors and the AMA!
The key and cool advantage to all the trainer planes offered by Horizon Hobby is the intermediate mode (in addition to safe/AS3X/panic button). In all the other BNF models you get to choose "only" between the safe select mode and then the AS3X/experienced mode. In the AeroScout, the new Apprentice S2, the Apprentice STS, the Carbon Cub and the Habu STS you also get the intermediate mode to help new pilots transition from safe to AS3X (I did not add the Sport Cub S2 to that list, because I find it too small to learn on.) We have 2 trainers and the rest are BNF. What would be really useful for your watchers would be if you would show some stick movements that correspond to the movement of the plane, i.e. how to turn, roll, loop etc. in AS3X only! I am sure that video would be a hit! Thanks Abby and Nate, always cool videos!
My first and only plane, love it so much! I'm progressing with it and my two boys are starting to fly beginner mode, it's awesome. Oh, less Nate and more Abby is a nice change of pace! 😉
Thanks for the video guys!! I think at some point when I have enough money by the end of the summer, I'll think about buying the ready to fly Aeroscout because it looks like the super best beginner friendly plane!!!😃😃😃
Very nice flying Abby. Today's video was brought to you by Abby's online rc flight training school. With side commentary by Nate. Because we all know Nate Can NOT, NOT commentary 😂😂😂😆😆😁😁😉😉😉. That is one full service airport. It has UFO🛸🛸🛸🛸 crop circle landing, circles 🛸within circles🛸. There were also trails leading into the woods for dropping off to the, Been probed🔎🪚🔧🪛🔍🔨⛏🩺🧬🔬🧪 Recovery 🛏🛏🛏🛏🛏 area.😄😄🤭🤭🤭. Also noticed on the runway if you don't stop it's a long drop.🛬🛬🪂🪂. Good training video. ⚓⚓👍💚👍💖👍🛸🛸🔎🛏👍⚓⚓.
TOTALLY AWESOME job ABBY!! The PLANE is COOL, too!! NATE, you're HONESTLY tall!! GREAT SHOW SAYLORS and thanks for teaching this dummy MORE about how to fly!! 💟👍😘
Saw you guys at the 2022 Horizon Hobby Fest! Always wanted a plane! Really want an EDF.. I gotta start crawling before I can run! I bought this plane at the show after trying it there and watching your video.
After flying this plane for. Couple of weeks, I have to say it is absolutely fantastic! It is an absolute dream to fly and completely takes all nerves out of flying. Absolutely recommend this plane to ANYONE that is looking to start flying! You will absolutely LOVE it!

Definitely a great option for a plane to learn to fly on. The Aeroscout has taught a lot of new pilots to fly RC. Great drone chase shots!
I loved the tutorial on how to do loops and rolls! Fantastic guys!
Haha! Sounds like a good summary of this video 🤣😂😎⚓
Loved the drone shots, they make the videos slicker!
Thank you very much! 👍😁😎⚓
I am disabled
And had no trouble with this plane. Until I hit a car at full speed. Lol. Big dent in door plane in pieces. Sad day. Got a night vapor now. Love it. Getting a Habu for Christmas. Love your videos.
Hope you had AMA!!
I love my Aeroscout. Got to get it out & go flying. Excellent flights Abby & Nate!! 😊⚓⚓
This is a great airplane. I have the bare bones Esky Eagle. Very stable even without all the bells and whistles of the Aeroscout.
You guys make me smile
Love my Aeroscout. The plane that got me flying. I maiden my Viper 70MM today. It was awesome 🤩
2 of my Favorite “Jerks”😜
Really love your videos. Got back into the hobby hard n fast over the last year and hoping I can get my wife interested also so I just took your advice and bought my wife a Aeroscout. Got it set up and ready to go so here’s hoping.👌
ABBY KEEP FLYING
NATE KEEP TALKIN
AMAZING TEAM!
DONT WORRY ANOUT WHAT PPL SAY. KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING. LOVE IT!
Might post a video if it doesn’t go tooo horribly. She may even call me a jerk. That’s how you know someone really loves you.😜
hi guys, hope all is well, thanks for the video 👍WOW the RTF version is an insane deal, I want one of these hopefully I get can one in the UK
I never thought i would want to get a rc plane but this one I really want to get
I got my wife to solo on one of these.
Thanks. Been looking at this plane for a while. Going to get my wings in this plane. So EXCITED!!
Great job Amy You convinced me I am going to order the AeroScout plane right now. Unfortunately I have a $100.00 gift card from Amazon so I can't order it from your website. Amy I am a beginner and I just wanted to say your style gives me a lot of confidence
OK I'm CONVINCED! LOL. Been looking for a new plane for a while and you made it EASY! Great Vid and ABBY IS A PRO!
you two do a fantastic job, love your videos....
Thank you very much!! 👍😁😎⚓️
That thing is awesome!👍
another great video thank you.love the drone chasing.you make it look so easy you almost again make me want to get one
After watching this several times (Aeroscout) with you guys then Gary, I started liking this look more. Believe it or not I STILL haven't maidened my Mini Apprentice yet! But I think for another bigger plane, this would be the one.
Abby well done. I love it when you present your RC gear, and great flying too! You rocked that thing!
One of my favorites. I built a FT foam board kit too. Great size and a lot of fun.
What really cool shots of the plane.. you guys or girl.. do a great job on these videos..
I watch them offen..!!
Great video, I want to start RC flying. I will go out and but one. Thanks again.
Thank you.
How big are the wheels? You fine folks do a fine job on all your reviews I make sure I watch every new one that comes out
Great video. Very informative and well laid out.
Love the videos where Abby takes the lead! Great facts and detail. It is a true hobby grade analysis 🥰. It's not a video where you transferred parts/receiver wrong and claimed two messed up boats.
My first plane. Great flier, pushers are good for beginners. Great video!
Abby did oh so great today. It has to be her favorite and you can tell she is comfortable. Yeah! Abby.
Just convinced me to get it and great review and shots of the plane while flying! Thank you guys!
Someone should make an fpv kit and sell it with the manual for the rtf version. It would sell like pancakes. I just got the rtf one and cant wait
I love my aero scout!
Good job! BTW-took the TRUST test for FAA certification through the AMA. Scored 100% the first try (it's easy and required by the FAA to stay legal). I highly recommend the RC Saylors and the AMA!
Finally got one ordered ! 😁 Used your link 👍
Sweet!! Happy Flying my friend! You’re going to love it and I’m guessing the kiddos will have a blast too! 👍💯😎⚓️
I love my aeroscout. Flies really nice. I have video chasing one with a drone. That was fun to do!
Great video. This is a sweet flying little plane. Nice job Abby you look very comfortable flying this.
Awesome airplane Abby and Nate and enjoying watching now 👍👍👍👍👍👍😎❤️ video

Excellent video, may have to take a look at this airplane and get back in the hobby.
Hi Love your channel!!!! got this for my son, all good but got to watchout for the front wheel quite easily broken if you don't lands right
it'd make a nice FPV platform , nice flying Abbey :)
My first and only plane, love it so much! I'm progressing with it and my two boys are starting to fly beginner mode, it's awesome. Oh, less Nate and more Abby is a nice change of pace! 😉
Love the drone flying with it
Man that looks like a good place rc planes and fishing in one spot 😁
Thanks for the video guys!! I think at some point when I have enough money by the end of the summer, I'll think about buying the ready to fly Aeroscout because it looks like the super best beginner friendly plane!!!😃😃😃
I think you did a wonderful job and I think it’s a great plains thank you for everything
Is it possible to install a cam in the canopy? Or could you recommend another aircraft with camera?
