In this video we've got five tips to help you improve you snowboarding turns. These are the five best tips that I've used to help snowboarders improve their turns! Today I'm snowboarding on Blackcomb mountain and Chris is helping us with the tips. The first tip to improve you turns is to keep you back hand over the tail of your snowboard. This will keep you more balanced over your snowboard and also make your toe turn come around smoother. The second tip is to use your knees through bumpy and uneven terrain. By using your knees you'll keep your snowboard in contact with the snow and keep you more in control of your turns. The third tip is to spray snow evenly though out your turns. By spraying snow evenly you'll distribute the effort evenly over your toe and heel turns. The fourth tip is to practice your switch snowboard tuns. By practicing switch you'll challenge your balance, which will improve your normal snowboard turns when you switch back. Finally challenge yourself by turning on side banks. A sign of improving your riding is when you can confidently turn your snowboard on the side banks. If you have any questions about snowboard turns you can leave them in the comments. Best tip i got from Ryan Knaptons channel. Start riding switch when you feel comfortable spinning down a slope in both directions. It will help you a lot with initiating turns and having better edge control!

Thanks for the tips. Backhand tip really helped especially on my switch riding. Seems easier to initiate toe side. Also I think this has made my carving better on my switch than on my regular side. More confidence riding faster on switch too 🏂

This videos are just great. I'm still a beginner, but they help me a lot.
Great tips! Riding switch is a huge help, but definitely start easy with it. Arm placement is a big deal, it really effects your balance. You should be using your feet and hips to turn. If you are flailing your arms, get lower in your stance.
Your video helped my 9 years old son a lot!! We will watch more together. If you can provide a video just for young snowborders, that would be awesome.
These videos are dangerous to watch when it's early fall. I just ordered a new snowboard and it's not season for like 3 months and these videos just hype me up too much! But they are all great and fun to watch so ill give you that :)
