In this video we'll show you ten different butter tricks you can learn on your snowboard. We'll start with beginner butter tricks you can practice on the flat ground and progress to more advanced butter tricks. A softer flex snowboard will make learning to butter much easier. The key for learning butter tricks is moving your weight over the tail or nose of your snowboard. Next you progress with your butter by trying them on different terrain and by adding spins and twists. Butter snowboard tricks are great to learn first because you can do them on all types of terrain. - Спорт

thanks to trick !
thx m8
Thank you. These guys are wasting too much time talking in this edit.
Kevin is such a calm, patient, non-poser straightforward dude, that’s in my opinion why he succeeded
Pretty sure when I was learning to snowboard I did tripod unintentionally
same but it wasnt smooth
LOL I did too XD
Abe Ramirez how long does it take to learn how to snowboard . I’ve skied for 7 years
Charlie B it’s pretty hard to get used to so about a few weeks of constant snowboarding should be able to get the basics pretty goof
I learned it in a week. Friends of mine in two. It depends, but in order to come down the mountain pretty good it takes round about half a month.
Who else is hyped for this season
meeee
Yasss
Hell yeaaaa
Yesirrr
Yup 👍
3:06 - How I imagine myself as I watch this video.
3:50 - Reality when I try it.
Same 😂😂
It’s super helpful to see someone with skill level a bit closer to my own attempting these butters. So many of these videos have super pro level guys making difficult things look so easy. I found that I was having some trouble with these in a lot of the same ways that Chris was at first, and it was nice to hear the feedback and watch him improve. It really helped me on the hill!
Man going back to this video brings me back to freshman year when I first found this channel.
Those first butters were imPRESSive
*ba dum tss*
Dan Carter haha
When u live in Florida and binge watch snowboarding videos living vicariously through these guys cause it's hot and you know you'd be a sick snowboarder if you had snow
you should slow-mo some of the tricks. your explanations are great, but maybe a slowed down representation will push it to the next level?
Khai Ngo agreed sometimes im like wait i didn't quite catch what he did
I keep rewinding to see details, specially in falls so I dont do the same
I go to Settings / Speed and set it to 0.25 to watch the critical points.
Khai Ngo 12:08
I do that as well (.50) , plus they sound drunk/stoned
Love how Chris suddenly pulled that nose butter 360 to backside 180 out :O
ikk i gotta try that out
You guys have been a massive part of my progression from day 1 to now 4 years later learning all the butters on this vid a vid like many of your others Iv rewatched countless times. I only have access to uk indoor slopes but iv finally booked my first trip to shred some real slopes in Chamonix, I’m going armed with a descent bag of tricks to send in the park thanks to snowboardprocamp so I owe you a massive thank you for helping me achieve a passion iv wanted to do since playing cool boarders and ssx as a kid like 25 years ago. 🤟
7:16 - This is actually a really good point. Doing drops into steeps, we used to come in switch, and roll over into our normal stance. This actually gives you a much smoother transition, especially if the drop is more than a board length, and let's you get right into a carve. You should try the tripod as a bipod with just the back hand. This is actually what we originally called a tail press.
I was doing the penguin walk and my bindings came out 😂
This video was edited so much better than the rest, clean cuts with no dragged on awkward moments. Keep it up bro!
Man you got me hooked on tail presses and nose roles! Learned both in the past 2 weeks and they’re so fun! Thanks for the help!
My buddy Nigel loves the tripod 😂 He tried it in my newest video they look hilarious
Amazing!
Kevin, your style is just so smooth. I hope to be as loose and just overall as cool as you are on the mountain. I love your videos man!
Another year and another watch. Thanks for setting the vibe for a snow day. It’s all about having fun

Dude, thank you for all your videos. They really help me

This is a great video explanation of all these basic tricks I'm actually trying to learn myself... Subscribing
Been watching your videos for months and only just noticed you have the Process Off-axis...which I bought two weeks ago! Has reassured me it was a good choice :) Looking forward to getting her on the Italian slopes next month. Regards from the UK, keep up the good work
2:30 Penguin Walks tire me out big time! I always need to catch my breath afterwards lol. Always a sad time when you find a flat spot on a run.
Decided to start snowboarding this season. I can’t wait!!!
Thanks again guys. Looked like a super fun day.

Awesome going to try some of these the next time I go
Awesome video guys. I know all of these however if I was relearning or learning again they would be awesome tips. Get an MFM Butter in a video though. Took me a while to figure out but so so fun and super stoked when you get it!
Well Colorado shut down their ski resortes and this was my first season ever!!): but thanks to all your videos I learned how to snowboard within the 3x’s I went up the mountain in November-December!!
Thank you for the great video👌🏻

Which board would you suggest out of the Gilson Pioneer or the Never Summer Funslinger?
Sweet video. Headed to winter park tomorrow to give um a try.
i'm definely try to learn those this winter
I just recently started learning how to snowboard. Yesterday would be my 3rd day. I do have a slight skateboarding background however without your videos I do not think I would have excelled so fast. I want to thank you for the hard work putting these videos out. I plan on copying and pasting this message to all the UA-cam videos that helped me so don't be alarmed if you see this on multiple of your videos.
Nice vid guys, helped with the office blue Monday.....(Case of the Mondays lol)... went to the park last week. got the boxes dialed... after a few bails and watching the box vid again at the park...hahaha. as Chris said, needed more speed.... cheers guys...
Last day of the season tomorrow. Gonna try all these!!
It might be easier with the presses to think about shifting your feet under you when trying this in motion instead of thinking of leaning from one side to the other. Simply lower your body a bit and then shift from the center of your foot to the side of your foot. This is really helpful when trying the nose press.
it also helps a ton to do a tripod on steeper slope, you don't even need to push, the board just flows out naturally and you use your hands as training wheels technically lol like you said lots of core strength required to make it look good!
You guys deserve much more subs.
Very good chanel, videos based on real no pro riders learning stuff. Progressing to next level like i want :) Good work master teacher :P
Love your videos. You just got a new subscriber
you know we all want that advanced butter video, 360 nose butter's, backside nose butters along a wall etc
I love you guys. I actually learned half off what I know about snowboarding from you!! You are awesome!!! Keep doing what you do.
Nice video! Thank you!
I love you guys haha and I love whistler too
I was over in Winter Park after Christmas with my kids, and I know that I have to work on my buttering skills.. especially after watching this demo.
I find doing my cab 180 switch way easier, but just can't get the the regular sorted. I've been snowboarding for about 15 years but, with all the willy in the world, there are some schools which I just have trouble sorting. I know it's all down to technique, I just have to watch this a few more times, and then next time I'm over in Jackson, or the Park I can work on them.
The regular 90 is ok.. at least!
(I don't think I'll be trying any bagel..)
What snowboard is better to learn buttering? Softer, harder, what construction? Flat one? Thanks for any advices
Dig the energy! Subbed
How soft/stiff does your board need to be for a lot of these tricks? Are they all doable with a stiff board?
awesome riding!
Thank u very much for ur videos, they are so usefull.
I didn't watch all, but I will. I have a question, my level is intermediate and I'm learning butter tricks, but I think the position of the docs are not the best. How it should be ???? Is there any video explaining that ???
Best regards !!!
so i just bought a twin shape board. I ride trails and getting into parks. Grew up skateboarding. Would you recommend a truely centered stance or slightly back? i do ride switch a lot.
Love you channel!
Penguin walk is my favorite :D
Hi ! ;) nice video :) I've got a question, what kind of FLEX is it ? Second - what is composition of your bindings ?
Nice video man :)
That was butter school!! So gr8
Hey guys, thanks for your vids! This is great stuff!
Can you please make a video about the right buttering gear (board, bindings, boot). I recently broke my shoes and now I am confronted with an abundance of shoes to pick from. I have no idea which one. Would be great if you can give some tipps and perhaps introduce us to some example boots.
Trying these tomorrow 😆
any luck
Ohh...so great👍
nice guys , great video . i am old now and come back to snowboard and try buttering. i like the bank trick with chris :i tried it yesterday ,it was great. now i would want to be better in tail and nose press, and i need to grow up my muscle and cardio .
it will be great if you put slow motion and narrows to explain more in details the forces u use at the t time
tx, kiss from france
Weirdly enough i started on the penguin walk before anything else lol. Good vid.
I have the same problem as chris when i do presses.. Seems like the edge catches alot and it just freaks me out.
Also i used to ride a Neversummer Raptor, which is VERY stiff..
Picked up a Ride WildLife a few weeks ago and i love it! its so much fun being able to do ollies and presses where the front end comes up a few inches. so much fun
Mr. SnowboardProCamp, I think I just met your mother on a bus in vancouver the oher day hahaha she saw me holding my snowboard and started a conversation. Super nice woman
Started late this season just now learning comfortable on heal and toes
Sweet. Can't wait to try this with my new custom burton Flying V I just bought two days ago. Hey what kinda pants are those Kevin. They look clean.
good video im going to do the nosepress frontside 3 180 out on a side hit
Awesome Video. How steep should the slope best be to practice?
picking an edge helps allot with buttering too. Lots if tricks go better when you pick an edge.
Nice video gus, also chris' gear looks dope :P.....i have one question tough,i saw chris' snowboard isnt elevating as much as keviin's ...it has smth to do with technique or is it just the different flexes on each board?
