My grandmothers picture is in the museum. she was the first stewardess for commercial air travel. She worked for Northwest orient Airlines. It was a shock to see the picture of her and the other first group of stewardesses on one of the plaques. Its the same exact picture that hung in her house for so many years. She was very proud of it and she would point out the other stewardesses by name and tell me about them. I of course took a picture of the picture and showed it to my mom and she was like, "yup, theres grandma" . Thought Id share that. Love your channel. It so relaxing.
Been a member for 20+ years and go often, they change things up and always keep it interesting. Great place to take your dog, too!
Took my son there back in 2006 and at that time was able to board and tour President Johnsons Air Force one. Great place, so is the TITAN missile museum.
As a fan of aviation and the Pima Air & Space Museum, these aircraft are beautiful.
During my 20 year USAF career I was a Crew Chief 3 of the different ones there. Two very big ones and a small one.
Since i first saw it in the early 00's, one of my favorite movies has been 1982's "Deadly Encounter". It features Pima Air and Space Museam in the later half of the film. It's amazing how much bigger it has become since that 1982 film. The ground used to be all dirt, all the planes were outside, and, from my research, the only building was a trailer that was a combo admissions booth, and restroom station. My, how far it's come.
Good drive. Thanks for taking us on the ride love the scenery.
A true aeronautical gem. Huntsville, Alabama has a good one. Ohio has the Wright Patterson Airforce museum, which is free. Gems are there for us all to discover. Thanks Russ for sharing yours with us. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
my fav plane from a child was the SR-71. Thank you for showing it to me!
Well planned and great tour. 👍🏼👍🏼
REAL COOL STUFF 😄. YAY !!!!!!!! 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
When I first went into the USAF (1964-1968) went to tech school of the B-47 and my first assignment was Edwards AFB and was a mechanic on the TB-58 chase for the XB70. Very amazing place.
if you like this one you'll LOVE Wings Over the Rockies Air Museum in Denver, CO. I love Pima as well.
Thank you so much for the Pima air and space museum tour. Especially seeing all the airplanes. Love looking at that stuff. 😊

Thanks for the tickle to visit the museum. I drove from FLG to see it. A fantastic place.
WOW! I would spend 3 whole days or more in there! Never heard anything about this unique museum!
Great to see you visit the Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson! We had the pleasure of going once, but the wind was howling so hard we ducked into the WWII building that has B-17 bombers and other aircraft, artifacts, stories, videos, and other displays. Friendly volunteers there help explain things or tell a story about something. It was great, but so big we're determined to go back. We really missed seeing most of the planes outdoors, so we've got a good excuse to return and spend the day there.
That was very interestini loved it ...that's going to be one of my stop when I head to New Mexico...have an amazing travels Russ 😎💕
Awesome video!! I love a good air and space museum!
That is one of the coolest air museums around. The B-52 is one of the most amazing aircraft ever built. Not only is it older than the pilots flying it, it has the most unique way of landing in a crosswind. Instead of landing one wheel at a time in a crosswind, pilots calculate the crosswind component, set the dial and the gear rotates to the proper crab.
The oldest existing B52 is stored there. One of two that were made with pods under their wing to launch the X15 experimental hypersonic plane. Amazing place!
awesome show Russ good to see your back on the road👌✌👍✈🛩🛫🛬
🙋♀️ Hello Russ! Picture postcard perfect day! Sure would be a great way to spend a day for a family outing! Amazing! 👍
So jealous its snow hail and rain in the UK 🇬🇧 😫 lol 😆 watching rver TV always cheers me up 👍🏻😁
Thank you, you are fabulous. .Greg and Cody my manx cat
Check it out, Russ😎 taking us to the Areo space museum today .Too Cool For School. 👍
Love the B-52!
Wow! What a COOL museum! Definitely on my list! Blessings and greetings from central FL!
I've been to the museum a couple of times, it's one of the best collections around. Thanks for taking us on a virtual visit! The TWA Constellation at around 14:12 or so is one of my favorites--what a beautiful plane. Did you miss the the hangars with the B-17 and the B-29? If so, you have an excuse to go back (and take the boneyard tour, too) Have fun in the White Mountains--I would guess it's a little cooler up there 🙂
Awesome museum definitely have to get there so much history very good.
I want to visit this Pima Air & Space Museum! I have been to the similar one in San Diego but seeing the displays you highlighted really is thrilling and I would love to go some day and will try to. Thanks for showing all of these wonderful sights to us at home via your UA-cam channel! I so appreciate it.
Thank you for taking me places I want to go!
Magnifique ! Visité en 2017. Thanks Russ
Thanks Russ!!!
I was there back in 1997. Thanks for posting.
Mike in Oregon
Hey Russ!!! "ENJOY ALL"" Southern Arizona!!!
Great museum history of American aviation, shows struggle of scientists, engineers who creat this salute all of them brain behind these creations .thanks Russ showing this great Museum. 🌹🌹🌹🌷🌷🌷⚘⚘⚘⚘
That place is huge! Need a golf cart since it's so big.
Wow, that air museum was awesome! You were right, it was really clean and everything was well displayed. So much to see.Well worth the price.
Nice view brother 👍👍
Cool place. If you're ever near Savanah, GA the 8th Air Force Museum is located there. Also the space center in Huntsville, AL.
Very nice video, Russ. At the plane graveyard nearby, there is a sign that says "Photography is prohibited, your cameras may be seized". That scared the hell out of me and I don't have one picture of any of those planes, not even in the Museum ... lol ! The U.S. sure knows how to treat "Aliens" (I am Canadian, not a Martian). RICHARD from Canada
Well, there are pretty neat views on Google Earth :)
that is a nice place to visit russ I would like to check it out someday
Thanks Russ. Great tour and perfect weather
The oldest existing B52 is stored there. One of two that were made with pods under their wing to launch the X15 experimental hypersonic plane. Amazing place!
Loved that place!!!
I was there a few years ago. I would definitely suggest to "check it out!" as Russ says. My favorite was the SR-71 Blackbird.
Were you ever in the military? I know you glance thru the place on your video, so many aircraft ,so much stuff, am a history buff, I have traveled the world and seen so many wonderful military museums ,this one looks like a wonderful gem to see.
I live appx. 24 miles NW of Tucson and get here usually twice a year. Born and raised just North of Tucson and saw all the aircraft coming into Davis Monthon AFB.
I live 5 mins from the place and drive by it all the time, and i've been there once, twenty years ago lol.
Wasn't that a great little stop for history Russ!! Thanks hoss!
Very nice video. Yay .
Great museum; on my list; thanks for the ride along 😎😎✈️🚀
Glad you went to the museum, the last time I was there the B-36 was in pieces it just got shipped to Tucson. Safe Travels
I spent an entire day there a few years back and felt like I barely scratched the surface. I would totally go back again especially to see that B-58 Hustler!!! I hope you spent time off camera to absorb everything there! ......Russell D.
Thanks for posting. I was there in 1988. Looks like it's changed a bit.
Great museum, visited it about 5 years ago. While leaving about 4 fighters took off from the base near there and flew right over the top of our car. The noise was brilliant. Top vid, Russ. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
I miss the days when Moffit field showcased aircrafts. Parking was so far.. brought bicycles in back of pick up truck. This was a great adventure. Thanks again!
I am glad to hear you say this:
After about 100 flights, as a civilian at Ft Irwin, in Hueys, I have always said they would make a great camper. Behind the pilot/co-pilot seat, there is room for 14 men, that could be used for an RV. It takes 50 ft to land. Perfect!
Great video Russ. I have never been to the Air Museum. Have fun in Globe. I think Billy the Kid got into some trouble there. Safe travels! Thanks for taking us along 🌵🌵🌵✈🛩
Brings back fond memories with my dad who is a pilot and was a civilian instructor for the Air Force.
❣️ ✈️✈️❣️
Wife's sister lives in Globe. I have 4000 hours in 4 different B 52 models. The H model is the only still flying , the last one was built in 62.
that seaplane was acool too...it's name escapes me, still cool.
Very cool.
Thanks Russ, enjoyed the video!
I was hoping to see the O-2 16:09. Can wait till I fully restore mine and get her airborne. Was really hoping to see the PV-2 Harpoon. I worked on that one a a young teenager back in the early to mid 90’s. The museum had her on their back lot and let us gut the inside to make ours complete and in return we gave them all the parts they needed for the outside to get her display ready.
Another place to see is the air force museum in Dayton, OH or the SAC museum between Lincoln and Omaha, NE or eaa air show in Oshkosh, WI.
I went many times to Tucson.I didn't know there is a Air & Space Museums ?
Those planes are so awesome me,my son & my fiancee are planning on taking a trip there soon
I haven't been there in a little over a decade. Its really wierd to see how a lot has changed since i was 9 years old in 2011.
Nice, I flew in that little helicopter above the blue angels hanging from ceiling, OH-6A LOH. Same as a Hues 500.
I’ve been through the saguaro national park. It is pretty cool I even have a picture of me with my granddaughter in front of a Saguaro and my husband too
Very cool video Russ, I'm a 20 year veteran from the Air Force that was a pilot and now I fly commercially, I really enjoy these aviation museums.......
Amazing video..thanks for your hard work making it possible for those who will most likely not be able to travel where you go........stay safe...
Great tour.
You know your old when 3 of the planes i actually worked on are now there. I take guests there when they visit. The missile museum is worth visiti g also.
Great vid of one of my favorite places.
Thanks for the tour...A place I might not get to go to...Love it..You do a great job!!
Russ, absolutely one of the best visits you have made during your tours. B52 was impressive along with the others you saw. Thanks for sharing these.
Awesome
10 some years in Tucson and I never been out there. Looks like I'm going have to check it out now.
You missed the C 124 I worked on at Rhein Main AFB, Frankfurt Germany, 1967-71. I was a R4360 engine mechanic on C124, C 97, C121.s
Been there Russ. Got a picture of I'll Be Around the big B17. Beautiful place. There is the Commemorative Air Force Arizona in Mesa. They give rides too. They are out on their summer tour now. Thanks
Interstellar civilians started it all. We r their off spring.
My son lives in Tucson we were just there in January when we were in Quartzite we took a little trip to see him. This is pretty cool I didn’t know that was there actually I knew it was there I’ve just never been there
Pima Air & Space is a great museum, well worth visiting. Just a massive volume of aircraft and support equipment. Looks like they've made quite a few improvements since my last visit.
That is definitely one of my favorite museums! Always interesting. There's a nice air museum out of El Paso too.
My best friend's brother flew one of the B-52's at the mueum. I love this museum but if you want tosee one that's really cool go tot he Boeing museum in Seattle.
I've seen the Blue Angels up here in NYS - spectacular show!!!
Cool!
with the moistur I'm hoping for a great bloom in the desert
That was fun and fantastic 😊 thanks 🙂👍
Very cool! Great video!
Thank you very much!
Thanks, Russ. This is a great vid. This museum is on my Must See List. Was weird seeing the old TWA prop plane. I flew on one of those about 63 years ago! Was top banana in 1950's and 60's. I'm dating myself. Lol. Loved this one. Sharing it with my kids.
Wow! I think that's about the best museum I've seen in a long time, so well maintained and clean. Love those old planes. Nice! Your camera is so clear Very good you're invited to Globe, looks like a neat town. The Peoples Convoy heading back west, be some extra traffic. Thanks for taking us along. 🙂👍
been there once......... its awesome, they actually had ( the old ) Air Force One ( from Kennedy i think ) there, ahh there it is @ 13:27, a little FYI if you go there in the Summer time you can go inside of it, at least i could when i was there years ago
Tucson has at least two special museums, the Pima Air and Space Museum and the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum (you went right past it when you went south from Saguaro National Park.
I worked there for 17 rears.
We got to see it back in 1998 !
I live in Tucson, and that is one of my favorite places.
a-maze-ing! i maybe a bit biased.
